Andy rode slowly to school, daydreaming about the fishing trip his father had promised. He was so absorbed (沉浸) in his thoughts that he didn’t notice anything around him.
He rode along until a strange sound drew him to the present. He came to a stop and looked up to the heavens. What he saw shocked and frightened him. A huge swarm of bees filled the sky like a black cloud and the buzzing (嗡嗡声) mass seemed to be heading angrily towards him.
With no time to waste, Andy sped off in the opposite direction, riding furiously—but without knowing how to escape the swarm. With a rapidly beating heart and his legs pumping quickly, he sped down the rough road. As the bees came closer, his panic increased. Andy knew that he was sensitive to bee stings (蜇). The last sting had landed him in hospital—and that was only one bee sting! He had been forced to stay in bed for two whole days. Suddenly, his father’s words came to him. “When you are in a tight situation, don’t panic. Use your brain and think your way out of it.”
He saw smoke rising from the chimney of the Nelson family home on a nearby hill and remembered that bees dislike smoke. However, he realised he couldn’t reach the house in time.
Then, he found a small dam (坝) used by Mr. Nelson to irrigate (灌溉) his garden. Without thinking twice, Andy jumped off his bike and dived into the cool water, sinking below the surface to escape the bees. When he finally came up for air, the bees were gone. Exhausted, Andy climbed out of the dam, struggled up the hill, and rang the
Nelsons’ doorbell. Mrs. Nelson brought him inside and called his mother.
His mother said, “You’ll really need that fishing break to help you recover. Thank goodness you didn’t panic!” But Andy was already lost in his dream about catching fish the next day.

Are you in a bad mood when you see your room filled with things? Are you feeling impatient when you can’t find anything for a long time? Many people feel overwhelmed (喘不过气的) by too many things they have. But it doesn’t have to be that way. With a little bit of organization and planning, you can do some cleaning, and create a more organized and stress-free space.
Give away unwanted things. Cleaning is an important process to go through once in a while, especially when you have a lot of things you don’t need or use. Not only does it make your home look and feel tidier, but it also helps deal with any negative (消极的) energy that may remain. You can give away unwanted things that you no longer need.
Clean one room at a time. When you clean your home, it’s important to clean one room at a time. This will help you stay organized. Start with the room that you use the most or the room that needs the most attention. If you have a lot of things that you don’t need, start with smaller areas like your desk. Break down the task into smaller goals, and take your time to make sure each area is cleaned and organized.
Label. The key to cleaning is to keep the same things together and to label your boxes well. Write on the box which room it needs to go to. Also, include what kinds of things are packed in the box. Yes, it takes a little time to do this, but you’ll be so thankful that you once did it. This helps you find what you need.
