During China’s 2025 Two Sessions, 6G became a big thing. It shows how important it is for the next stage of global communication. 6G is the sixthgeneration mobile network. It will bring big changes that are much more than 5G. 6G can be 100 times faster (1Tbps) than 5G and have almost no delay (0.1 milliseconds). These changes will let people, machines, and the environment talk to each other easily. It will make a world where “everything is smartly connected”. 6G is powerful because it can put together new technologies like AI, quantum computing, and satellite networks. For example, doctors can do faraway surgeries very accurately in real time with holographic communication (全息通信). Selfdriving cars can quickly share traffic data to avoid accidents. And robots in factories can work together well with very reliable connections. This will make things more efficient and safer. The Chinese government is working hard to help 6G grow. It is building test networks, making national standards, and getting research groups and industries to work together. By 2030, China wants to make 6G fully available for business. It will also change areas like healthcare, education, and logistics (物流). It will set a new example for the world’s digital development. But there are still problems. Building 6G infrastructure (基础设施) costs a lot. There is also the problem of energy use and getting countries to agree on standards. However, China has a big market and a good system for new ideas. So, China is likely to make 6G really work. In short, 6G is not just an improvement. It is a way to a smarter and more connected world. With continuous new ideas, China is playing an important role in the way to this future. It is closing gaps, helping industries, and changing how we live, one step at a time. 1.What does the underline word “global” in paragraph 1 mean? A.Local. B.Cultural. What about you thinking of a sentence, and your friend knows it just by a feeling? These may sound crazy in real life. But in the microworld (微观世界) of quantum physics (量子物理), they could all be possible! This year’s Nobel Prize in physics was given to three quantum physicists. They are Alain Aspect from France, John Clauser from the US and Anton Zeilinger from Austria. They did a great job studying quantum entanglement (量子纠缠), which paves the way for new technologies such as quantum computers and quantum communication. What is quantum entanglement? When two particles (粒子) are entangled, everything about them—from their speed to the way they move—is perfectly connected. If you know the state of one particle, then you know the state of the other, even when the two particles are very far apart. Thanks to the winning scientists’ finding of this secret, quantum entanglement has now been used in some cuttingedge (尖端的) technologies. For example, it can provide completely safe encryption (加密) in communication. Here’s how it works: changing one entangled particle affects another. So anyone trying to peek at secret quantum information would break the particles’ entanglement. That means nobody can spy (窥探) on a quantum message without getting caught. Another use is called “quantum teleportation (量子传输)”. This isn’t the same as people showing up from one place to another like in science fiction. But it can send information from one place to another in the quantum state. It’s faster and safer than the traditional way of technology. Quantum computers are another example. Normal computers process data using ones and zeroes. Quantum computers would use bits of information that are both one and zero. Such computers could run calculations that no normal computer can. Chinese scientists have created the world’s first lightbased quantum computer. It’s called Jiuzhang. It’s a new achievement in the field after Google finished building its own quantum computer in 2021. The name Jiuzhang comes from an old Chinese mathematics text. Compared with today’s best supercomputers, Jiuzhang can calculate (计算) 100, it takes Jiuzhang only 200 seconds to finish Gaussian Boson Sampling, a very timetaking calculation. Fugaku, would take about 600 million years to finish the same task. Quantum machines’ surprising computing power results from their basic building blocks, called quantum bits, or qubits (量子比特) bits, according to the University of Science and Technology of China. Traditional computers usually control data in binary (二进制) bits, presenting data as either a 0 or a 1. However, 1, or anything in between. As a result, as the number of qubits that are being used increases, too. According to Pan Jianwei, one of the main researchers behind Jiuzhang, quantum computing has already become an area of strong competition in the world. With Jiuzhang, Jiuzhang is easier to make and keep. Google’s qubit computer must be kept at a very cold temperature so the electricity can be conducted successfully by its materials. But most of Jiuzhang’s equipment can work at the room temperature. At present, scientists can just use Jiuzhang for boson sampling. But in the future, it might be used for machine learning and other fields. Lu Chaoyang, told China Daily that scientists will keep increasing Jiuzhang’s computing power. 17.Why do people regard Jiuzhang as a great achievement? A.Because it’s an invention as great as Google’s quantum computer. B.Because it’s the world’s first lightbased quantum computer. C.Because it gets its name from an old Chinese mathematics text. D.Because it can finish all calculation in 200 seconds’ time. 18.In Paragraph 2, how does the writer show Jiuzhang can calculate pretty fast? A.By comparing it with other computers. B.By telling us an interesting story. C.By showing us many good examples. D.By listing a lot of numbers and results. 19.What does the underlined word “conducted” probably mean? A.Passed through. B.Passed back. C.Passed away. D.Passed out. 20.What’s the main idea of the text? A.Google makes great progress in quantum computation. B.Jiuzhang means a lot to Chinese quantum computation. C.Quantum computation will replace traditional calculation. D.Gaussian boson sampling is important to scientific development. 根据第一段提到的“Chinese scientists have created the world’s first lightbased quantum computer. A.Local. B.Cultural. C.International. 2.How does the writer show 6G’s practical uses in paragraph 3? A.By listing numbers. B.By giving examples. C.By asking questions. 3.What can be inferred from the text? A.China is leading the development and uses of 6G globally. B.6G infrastructure will be cheaper to build compared to 5G. C.6G technology will completely replace human workers in factories. 4.What can be the best title for the text? A.The history of mobile communication technology. B.The importance and development of 6G technology. C.The challenges faced by 6G technology development. (2025·安徽·模拟预测)Hefei’s Quantum Leap Shapes Future Communication Hefei, known as China’s “Quantum Valley,” achieved a groundbreaking milestone in 2024 with the successful trial of a 5Gintegrated quantum communication network. This network, spanning 2,000 kilometers across Anhui, ensures absolutely secure data transmission through quantum encryption. Unlike traditional methods vulnerable to hacking, quantum technology uses subatomic particles that selfdestruct if tampered with. The achievement was made possible by collaborative efforts between the University of Science and Technology of China and leading tech firms. The provincial government allocated 1.5 billion yuan to fund research and infrastructure development. This investment is expected to attract over 200 hightech companies to Anhui within three years. Local industries are already reaping benefits. A Hefeibased smart city project now uses quantumprotected sensors to monitor traffic and energy grids. “This technology reduces cyberattack risks by 90%,” said project manager Li Wei. 5.What is the core feature of quantum communication? A.High speed. B.Absolute security. C.Low cost. D.Wide coverage. 6.How much did Anhui invest in quantum research? A.1.2 billion yuan. B.1.5 billion yuan. C.2.0 billion yuan. D.2.5 billion yuan. 7.What industry benefits from quantum technology? A.Tourism. B.Agriculture. C.Smart cities. D.Education. (福建厦门·) Can you imagine being at school and home at the same time? C.It honored the studying of quantum entanglement. D.It honored the invention of a super quantum computer. 9.What is clear in the event of quantum entanglement? A.Particles move quickly. B.Particles are very far apart. C.Particles look exactly the same. D.Everything about two particles is connected. 10.Using quantum entanglement in cuttingedge technologies can ________. a. better protect secrets    b. help recognize spies    c. help send messages faster and safer d. slow down technological achievements    e. help with calculations on quantum computers A.abc B.bcd C.ace D.cde 11.What is NOT included in the story about quantum entanglement? What about you thinking of a sentence, and your friend knows it just by a feeling? These may sound crazy in real life. But in the microworld (微观世界) of quantum physics(量子物理), they could all be possible! This year’s Nobel Prize in physics was given to three quantum physicists. They are Alain Aspect from France, John Clauser from the US and Anton Zeilinger from Austria. They did a great job studying quantum entanglement (量子纠缠), which paves the way (铺平道路) for new technologies such as quantum computers and quantum communication. What is quantum entanglement? When two particles (粒子) are entangled, everything about them from their speed to the way they move is perfectly connected. That is to say, if you know the state (状态) of one particle, then you know the state of the other, even when these two particles are very far from each other. Quantum entanglement has now been used in some cuttingedge (尖端的) technologies. For example, it can provide completely safety in communication. Here’s how it works: changing one changes the other. So when anyone tries to read your secret quantum message without your permission, he might actually change it as soon as he gets it. That means what he read will never be the true one. Cool? Another use is called “quantum teleportation (量子传输)”. This isn’t the same as people appearing from one place to another like in the science movies. But it does send information, including images (图像) and sounds, at the same time in a very fast way. Therefore, when you receive a message, it seems that the personthe message senderis just in front of you. Without doubt, quantum physics is leading us to a totally different world. The more we know about this new theory(理论), the more we know about the future world. 13.What do we know about this year’s Nobel Prize in physics? A.It was given to three US physicists. (2024·湖南娄底·一模) Months ago, at an exhibition (展览会) in the UK, we saw some things about what was science in 1923. It gave us the idea for the question: What will science be in 2123? Then we asked some experts for their ideas. Dr. Maggie AderinPocock, space scientist: I think people in 2123 will work hard to develop technology for interstellar (星际的) travel. And in 100 years, people may be able to answer the question “Are we alone in the universe?” Professor Steve Brusatte at University of Edinburgh: I think in 100 years, people will see big improvements on medical science. Well, of course, doctors in 2123 will still use many of the medicines created in the 2020s. And I think that if there is an exhibition (展览) of today’s things in 2123, it will have some masks (防护面具) we used during the COVID19 pandemic (新冠疫情). Professor Andrea Sella at University College London: I think in the future, people will look back on the small steps of quantum (量子) computers and laugh at our worry about AI (人工智能). At the same time, they may have to stand more terrible weather. They will wonder why we didn’t act to stop the world from warming by 4℃—5℃. 21.________ works as a space scientist. A.Maggie AderinPocock B.Steve Brusatte C.Andrea Sella 22.Doctors in 2123 will probably ________. A.order robots to do everything for them B.use many of the medicines created in the 2020s C.wear masks used during the COVID19 pandemic 23.According to Professor Andrea Sella, the weather will be ________. A.worse B.better C.the same 24.Which of the following is the best title for the passage? A.What was life like in 1923? B.What will science be in 2123? C.What medicines will be used in the 2020s? (四川眉山)When Harmony OS, the Chinese selfdeveloped operating system (操作系统) for Huawei mobile phones, appeared on Aug 9, it quickly became hot on Douyin, WeChat, Weibo and so on. Many believe it not only means the rising power of our country’s technology, but also shows great love to traditional Chinese culture by naming the system. “Hongmeng” in Chinese. “Hongmeng” is a word from the ancient book Zhuangzi. It was used to describe the original state of the universe (宇宙的原始状态) before the everything appears. For Harmony OS, “Hongmeng” shows that the makers want to develop a new operating system of high quality (质量), different from any other. Besides “Hongmeng”, Huawei has also owned many of its products under the names of animals from traditional Chinese folk stories, such as “Qilin”, a lucky one and “Kunpeng”, an animal that changed from a fish into a large bird. Many Chinese Internet users and media have spoken highly of Huawei’s use of these names which carry Chinese wisdom and ancient people’s imagination. In fact, Huawei is not alone in using traditional culture or modern business. Ne Zha, the new cartoon film, also connects traditional culture with modern ideas successfully. It became the biggest surprise that summer. It tells a different story of Ne Zha—he is a devil (恶魔) born into a loving family and becomes a hero in the end. Although Ne Zha’s appearance in this film is strange and kind of ugly with scary teeth and heavy dark circles around his eyes, his spirit of trying to control his own life greatly encourages young people to fight for dreams and future. The long history and classic works have given China a colorful culture. Stories like Nv Wa Repairs the Sky and Hou Yi Shoots the Suns are the creative works of imagination. After all, imagination is the beginning of creation. 25.According to Paragraph 2, lots of Chinese Internet users and media welcome Huawei because of ________. A.the high quality of its products B.the use of traditional culture C.its development of Harmony OS D.people’s deep trust for Huawei 26.From the passage, what is Ne Zha like in the new movie? A.ugly but encouraging. B.strange but creative. C.scary but kind. D.Troublemaking but hardworking. 27.Which of the following is TRUE? A.Huawei products are under the names of animals from folk stories. B.Only Huawei takes traditional culture for modern use. C.Creation starts from imagination. D.Chinese wisdom plays the most important part in developing technology. 28.What does the passage mainly tell us? A.Huawei becomes famous because of the selfdeveloped operating system.
