It is not uncommon to see the whole Internet bands together to “cancel” someone after they make a mistake, which is called Cancel Culture. It can result in a person, if famous, losing fans and having to face attacks online. Even a normal person faces risks of losing their jobs or personal relationships. While stepping foot on any social media platform, everyone including young children can fall victim to it. Cancel Culture is a lose-lose situation. The person being canceled has to stand the negative effects of the Internet, and the people doing the canceling are contributing to (促成) the mindset that it’s okay to do this to people they don’t know. Young kids may not understand or contribute completely to Cancel Culture, but by simply being on the Internet, they can see it firsthand, affecting their real lives. A New York Metro Parents article describes one girl who was canceled in school the same way people are canceled on the Internet, and her friends wouldn’t even talk to or look at her. Dr. Pam Rultledge, a media psychologist, explains in her blog post that Cancel Culture discourages kids from expressing their opinions and standing up for others. It’s always an “us against them” mindset; anyone agreeing with the person being canceled is at risk of being left out online too. So again I ask, what is this teaching our kids? That they aren’t allowed to make mistakes? That they have to be perfect? This may be the current narrative, but it shouldn’t be. Everyone messes up at some point, especially young children. They shouldn’t be publicly punished for it and not given the chance to change people’s minds. Forgiveness is an important skill kids need to learn, and Cancel Culture is encouraging the opposite. One small mistake doesn’t make someone a bad person, but Cancel Culture makes them feel as if they are. Cancel Culture doesn’t have to exist. We make it exist. And just as easily, we can make it disappear by contributing to an online world full of praise and love. 28.Why does the writer mention the New York Metro Parents article in Paragraph 2? A.To explain why Cancel Culture does harm to children’s friendships. B.To stress the importance of close relationships with friends for students. C.To show how Cancel Culture has exercised influence on kids’ real lives. D.To suggest possible ways of changing the habit of overusing the Internet. 29.In Cancel Culture, a person who makes mistakes will be ________. A.comforted with great patience B.left out and publicly punished C.taught how to correct the mistakes D.blocked from using the Internet again 30.By saying “This may be the current narrative, but it shouldn’t be” in Paragraph 4, the writer wants to express that Cancel Culture ________. A.is easy to change B.has a two-sided nature C.is supposed to be canceled D.stops mistakes from being repeated 【答案】28.C 29.B 30.C 【导语】本文是一篇议论文。 根据“A New York Metro Parents article describes one girl who was canceled in school the same way people are canceled on the Internet, and her friends wouldn’t even talk to or look at her.” 根据“anyone agreeing with the person being canceled is at risk of being left out online too.”和“They shouldn’t be publicly punished for it and not given the chance to change people’s minds.” 根据“Cancel Culture doesn’t have to exist.”和“We can make it disappear by contributing to an online world full of praise and love.” C。 C On May 8, 2025, Huawei unveiled its first HarmonyOS-powered (鸿蒙操作系统驱动) computer in Shenzhen, marking a historic milestone in China’s journey toward technological self-reliance. Developed by over 10,000 engineers and 20 research institutes over five years, this innovation challenges the global dominance of operating systems like Windows and macOS. The HarmonyOS PC runs on HarmonyOS 5, a completely self-developed operating system. It stresses speed, security, and seamless connectivity across devices. For example, its AI assistant “Xiaoyi” simplifies tasks like creating presentations and summarizing meetings through voice instructions. The system also supports cross-device collaboration (跨设备协作), allowing users to control multiple Huawei devices effortlessly. Security is another key focus. The HarmonyOS PC uses a self-developed kernel (内核) and chip-level encryption (芯片级加密) to protect data. It also includes a “super privacy mode” that disables cameras and microphones with a physical button. To build a sustainable ecosystem, Huawei is collaborating with universities to train developers and has adapted over 300 apps for the HarmonyOS PC. With 7.2 million registered developers and 110 million lines of code, HarmonyOS is creating a robust environment for future innovations. While challenges remain, such as competing with established systems-the HarmonyOS PC means China’s shift from relying on foreign technology to leading in core innovations. As Huawei’s CEO stated, “HarmonyOS is not just an operating system; it’s the foundation for smart living.” 31.What is the primary challenge facing HarmonyOS according to the passage? A.The history of Huawei’s technological development B.The role of AI in modern operating systems C.A comparison between HarmonyOS and other operating systems D.The features and importance of the first HarmonyOS-powered computer 【答案】31.B 32.B 33.D 【导语】本文主要介绍了华为及其研发的鸿蒙操作系统。 31. 根据“While challenges remain, such as competing with established systems-the HarmonyOS PC means China’s shift from relying on foreign technology to leading in core innovations.” 根据“It also includes a ‘super privacy mode’ that disables cameras and microphones with a physical button.” D。 D Do you think automated (自动化的) kitchens only exist in science fiction shows like Star Trek? Well, think again! Nowadays, robots are already being used to do many things in the kitchen, like frying chicken, making pizzas, and preparing salads. And artificial intelligence (AI) can even create new recipes based on the ingredients available in a kitchen. There are also more advanced ideas being developed to make high-quality restaurant kitchens automated. At first, because new technologies are usually expensive, it’s the restaurants and other businesses that start using AI kitchen technologies. But as time passes by, the prices will probably go down enough for ordinary families to afford. This will change how our homes and society work. There are some good things about AI kitchens. For example, cooks don’t have to do boring jobs like peeling potatoes or standing in one place for hours. This saves time and lets people do more important things. AI can also provide different kinds of special diets and tastes to meet personal needs. However, there are also problems. Cooking is not just about making food. It’s a good activity that helps people communicate and express themselves. If we don’t need humans to cook anymore, these good things might disappear. Family relationships might not be as good without the time spent together in the kitchen. Moreover, the kitchen is like a science lab at home. It’s important for kids to learn about materials, chemistry, and how to solve problems through cooking. We also have to think about cultural problems. Sometimes, AI might change traditional recipes and cooking methods because it doesn’t understand cultural details well. This could make the dishes less diverse. If we rely too much on technology for cooking, the food might taste the same. It’s similar to how AI art images look alike in various apps. In conclusion, while new technologies bring convenience, they also have a price. We need to think about the possible problems they might cause in our society, especially when it comes to something as important as food in our daily lives. 34.Why are restaurants the first to use AI kitchen technologies? A.They can afford the high costs. B.They have more space for robots. C.They want to attract more customers. D.They are more interested in automation. 35.What is the most possible advantage of AI kitchens? A.Saving money on food. B.Reducing kitchen waste. C.Meeting various tastes. D.Improving family relationships. 36.What aspects may AI kitchens have problems with according to the passage? A.They cannot provide special diets and tastes. B.They cannot reduce the price of kitchen technology. C.They cannot conduct scientific experiments in the kitchen. D.They cannot truly understand traditional recipes without cultural knowledge. 37.What is the author’s attitude towards the use of AI kitchens? A.Uncaring. B.Unclear. C.Positive. D.Cautious. 根据“At first, because new technologies are usually expensive, it’s the restaurants and other businesses that start using AI kitchen technologies.” 故选A。 35. 根据“AI can also provide different kinds of special diets and tastes to meet personal needs.” 根据“Sometimes, AI might change traditional recipes and cooking methods because it doesn’t understand cultural details well.” 根据“In conclusion, while new technologies bring convenience, they also have a price. We need to think about the possible problems they might cause in our society, especially when it comes to something as important as food in our daily lives.” 38.There are many (区别) between the twins. The process of food metabolizing (代谢) can help your body produce heat. Foods that take longer to digest (消化) can help raise your body temperature. Bananas Bananas have a lot of vitamin B and magnesium (Mg), which are important for your thyroid glands (甲状腺) and adrenal glands (肾上腺) to work properly. These glands help control body temperature. Sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes need more energy to digest, which raises your body temperature. High in vitamin A, vitamin C and kalium (K), sweet potatoes can add nutrients (营养素) to a warm winter meal. Sweet potatoes are also good for eyes. Ginger (姜) tea Ginger is good for digesting and helps heat up the body. It’s also a diaphoretic (发汗剂), which means it will help your body warm from the inside. Keeping you warm is only one of the many advantages of drinking ginger tea. Water A simple way to help your body stay warm is to drink water. Water keeps your body working at its best and helps control temperature. But people don’t want to drink water when it’s cold outside because they don’t feel thirsty. 25.Which of the following can help adrenal glands work properly according to the passage? A.Vitamin A. A.Mg is helpful to keep you warm. B.Drinking ginger tea can only keep you warm. C.Water is the best at helping control body temperature. D.Foods which are easy to digest can help raise body temperature B Nowadays, the online world is nearly as important as the real one. A.is easy to change B.has a two-sided nature C.is supposed to be canceled D.stops mistakes from being repeated C On May 8, 2025, Huawei unveiled its first HarmonyOS-powered (鸿蒙操作系统驱动) computer in Shenzhen, marking a historic milestone in China’s journey toward technological self-reliance. A.Short of government support B.Competition with established operating systems C.Small number of registered developers D.High cost of production for HarmonyOS PCs 32.What is a special feature of the HarmonyOS 5’s security system? A.Voice recognition for using certain apps. B.A physical button to disable cameras and microphones C.Cloud-based data storage without encryption D.Automatic deletion of secret documents after using 33.What is the main idea of the passage? A.The history of Huawei’s technological development B.The role of AI in modern operating systems C.A comparison between HarmonyOS and other operating systems D.The features and importance of the first HarmonyOS-powered computer D Do you think automated (自动化的) kitchens only exist in science fiction shows like Star Trek? A.Uncaring. B.Unclear. C.Positive. D.Cautious. 38.There are many (区别) between the twins. The film shows remarkable character growth. Ne Zha, once known for his rebellious (叛逆的) nature, learns to care deeply for his friends and understand his true self. His friend Ao Bing, who used to struggle with personal troubles, turns into brave warrior. In one powerful scene, Ao Bing declares courageously, “If there’s no path, I’ll create one!” Visually, the movie is a feast (盛宴) for the eyes. It begins with thrilling scenes of flowing lava (岩浆) like wild rivers and terrifying sea monsters jumping out of the water, making viewers feel as if they are part of the action. Later, the story takes the audience to Kunlun Mountain, a magical place from Chinese myths filled with colorful landscapes and graceful fairy-like creatures. The most unforgettable part is the final battle, where characters use amazing weapons like the shape-changing Tianyuan Ding. The fast-paced fighting and brilliant special effects leave a strong impression. Beyond the action, Ne Zha 2 teaches important life lessons. It encourages people to stay brave when facing difficulties, fight for what is right, and value friendship. These themes resonate with both young and adult audiences. The film has broken box office records, earning an astonishing amount in its first week. It also received high praise from critics and viewers, currently holding an 8.6/10 rating on major review platform. Many praise its perfect mix of cultural elements, exciting storytelling, and positive messages. 根据短文内容,回答下列问题(答案不超过6个单词) 58.What happened to Ne Zha and Ao Bing after the “Heavenly Tribulation”? 59.Which character was once rebellious but then learned to care for friends? 60.How many examples does Paragraph 4 list to show that the movie is a feast for the eyes? 61.Who is this film suitable for? 62.How can we know the film is a great success?
