The animated film Ne Zha 2, released on January 29, 2025, has become a huge success in the film industry. Directed by the famous Jiaozi (Yang Yu), it continues the exciting story of Ne Zha (哪吒) and Ao Bing (敖丙) from the first movie.
After surviving a terrible disaster called the “Heavenly Tribulation (天劫),” Ne Zha and Ao Bing lost their physical bodies. Their souls were in great danger until Taiyi Zhenren (太乙真人), a wise immortal from Chinese mythology, saved them using a magical seven-colored lotus. However, peace did not last long. Their souls began to disappear again, forcing Taiyi Zhenren to face a difficult task — rebuilding their bodies with limited materials while solving unexpected problems.
The film shows remarkable character growth. Ne Zha, once known for his rebellious nature, learns to care deeply for his friends and understand his true self. His friend Ao Bing, who used to struggle with personal troubles, transforms into a brave warrior. In one powerful scene, Ao Bing declares courageously, “If there’s no path, I’ll create one!”

Later, the story takes the audience to Kunlun Mountain (昆仑山) a magical place from Chinese myths filled with colorful landscapes and graceful fairy-like creatures. The most unforgettable part is the final battle, where characters use amazing weapons like the shape-changing Tianyuan Ding (天元鼎). The fast paced fighting and brilliant special effects leave a strong impression.
Beyond the action, Ne Zha 2 teaches important life lessons. It encourages people to stay brave when facing difficulties, fight for what is right, and value friendship. These themes resonate with both young and adult audiences.

Studies have shown that writing by hand can have enormous (极大的) beneficial impacts in terms of memory, brain development, and even the quality of writing itself.
Some might say that handwriting has become a dying art since the advent of the typewriter in the mid 1880s, even more so due to computers. In fact, nowadays, some schools in the United States no longer require teaching handwriting as a part of the main courses. However, despite the sense that writing on paper is out of fashion, it actually has a number of very important strengths.
Writing by hand is not only important for language processing and memory, but it is also important for mental development. In learning to write by hand, the human brain must combine feeling, movement control, and thinking. For whatever reason, it does not do so when learning to type.
Writing by hand is good for mental health, and there are some studies that can prove it. Writing on paper can help students recall material better than typing on a keyboard. Similarly, a study from 2014 shows that compared to writing by hand, taking notes on a laptop results in a less deep absorption of the learned material. This is because when using a laptop, students will often type out lectures word for word instead of processing information and rewording it in their own language.
These advantages actually translate to how you recall the information. In this case, writing by hand instead of typing also helps students do better on exams. Children write longer and more complex essays when they are writing by hand, compared with using a keyboard. Children usually do better writing with a pen when they write essays. They write more and faster.
The next time you want to sit down to write an email to a loved one, why not try writing a handwritten letter instead? It can be more beneficial to your brain. Plus, the personal touch of a handwritten letter can make your message even more special and memorable.
32.What does the underlined word “advent” in paragraph 2 mean?
A.Rent. B.Request. C.Alarm. D.Appearance.
33.What does paragraph 3 mainly tell us about handwriting?
A.Its requirements. B.Its types. C.Its development. D.Its advantages.
34.What happens when students use a laptop instead of a pen to take notes?
A.They have a lower understanding of the material.
B.They do better in writing essays.
C.They are less confident about their exams.
D.They recall more words.
35.What is the author’s purpose in writing the last paragraph?
A.To make a suggestion. B.To express thanks.
C.To honour loved ones. D.To share a personal experience.
【答案】32.D 33.D 34.A 35.A
根据第二段中“Some might say that handwriting has become a dying art since the advent of the typewriter in the mid 1880s, even more so due to computers. (有人可能会说,自从19世纪80年代中期打字机的advent以来,手写就成了一门垂死的艺术,电脑的出现更是如此)”可知,此处表示自从打字机出现以来,手写就成了一门垂死的艺术。由此可知,划线词“advent”意为“出现”。故选D。
33.主旨大意题。根据第三段中“Writing by hand is not only important for language processing and memory, but it is also important for mental development. (手写不仅对语言处理和记忆很重要,而且对智力发展也很重要)”及随后具体说明手写需结合感觉、动作控制和思维,而打字无需如此,全段围绕手写的优势展开,即第三段主要告诉我们手写的优势。故选D。
34.细节理解题。根据第四段中“Similarly, a study from 2014 shows that compared to writing by hand, taking notes on a laptop results in a less deep absorption of the learned material. This is because when using a laptop, students will often type out lectures word for word instead of processing information and rewording it in their own language. (同样,2014年的一项研究表明,与手写相比,用笔记本电脑做笔记对所学材料的吸收程度较低。这是因为在使用笔记本电脑时,学生们通常会逐字逐句地打出讲座内容,而不是处理信息并用他们自己的语言重新表述)”可知,当学生用笔记本电脑而不是笔做笔记时,他们对材料的理解程度较低。故选A。
根据最后一段中“The next time you want to sit down to write an email to a loved one, why not try writing a handwritten letter instead? It can be more beneficial to your brain. Plus, the personal touch of a handwritten letter can make your message even more special and memorable. (下次你想坐下来给心爱的人写封电子邮件时,为何不试试改成写一封手写书信呢?这对你的大脑更有益。此外,手写书信所蕴含的那份人情味,能让你的心意显得愈发特别且令人难忘。)”可知,最后一段以问题提出建议,鼓励用手写书信替代电子邮件,并说明其对大脑和情感表达的益处。由此推断,作者写最后一段的目的是提出建议。故选A。

故填a。
故填that/which。
“dressing the robots in festive red”和“programming them with cultural...” 故填and。

My heart sank when I received the news—no salary again. How would I manage the increasing bills, the groceries and my children’s needs? The future seemed hopeless. With a heavy heart, I hurried to pick up my two children, my mind racing wildly.
That’s when I saw it—a wallet, lying on the sidewalk. It was as if fate had thrown me a lifeline (救生索). Hope came to me as I approached it. The wallet was large, and when I opened it, my eyes widened in disbelief at the sight of a large amount of cash inside it. I hesitated for a moment, torn between the immediate relief that this money promised and the morality (道德) of keeping it.
Curiosity led me to search through the wallet. The things it contained were a photo and a couple of business cards. No matter how much I wanted to take the contents, my moral principles and inner voice told me not to do this. The decision became clear; I couldn’t keep this money. It wasn’t rightfully mine.
I picked out a business card. The name and number were there. With a deep breath, I dialed the number and explained my find to the voice on the other end. The voice came, completely emotionless, warning that they would come to me. He hung up without even saying “thank you”. I was angry with the impoliteness. I even regretted my decision, but my conscience (良知) did not allow me to go back on my choice. I had told the voice where I lived and went to get my children.
Shortly after we arrived home, a large black car suddenly pulled up to our house. The driver got out and knocked on the door. When I opened it, the driver told me that the owner of the wallet wanted me to personally hand over his wallet.

He wanted to reward me for my honesty and kind act.
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
I didn’t want to do so, but I agreed to go with the driver at last. After a while, the car stopped at a house, and I met the owner. He was a man with a not-gentle face. But soon, his face was lightened by a bright smile, and he revealed to me that all the money in the world could not replace the photo of his beloved daughter that he always carried in his wallet. His beloved daughter lived on the other side of the planet and they saw each other very rarely. After his story, he surprised me with an unexpected proposal.
He wanted to reward me for my honesty and kind act. I was awkward with his offer of a financial reward, but I could not refuse it. So I accepted and was even more pleased when I heard he would offer me a job to work for him under much better conditions and salary than my current job. My heart was beating with a mixture of emotions—relief and gratitude. My answer came quickly. This day will forever remain in my memories as the one in which my moral values and correct decisions helped change my life for the better.
