By the way, when will you come back? Dad and I wish you to take care of yourself. Have a wonderful time in Canada!

Whenever I'm invited to somebody's house for the first time, I'll take a close look at their bookshelves. What they keep on their shelves, in my eyes, is a reflection(反映)of their personal tastes and interests. The books on a bookshelf tell the story of a life.
My own shelves are a kind of road map through my life, telling a chronological tale. First up come my favourite childhood reads, like Watership Down and His Dark Materials. The collection then moves on to teenage things I read in school-Nineteen Eighty- Four, The Handmaid's Tale and A Clockwork Orange . Finally,we come out of full-time education and enter the real world, and this part is a reflection of my professional(职业的)life, from the first exciting days of work experience to the present.
If you pointed to any book on my shelves, I could name the year I got it, where I was working, and probably where I was living at the time.
▲ It is an easy way to get to know about his hopes, dreams and interests. And a big part of that story is how we arrange our books, and get on with them. It's such a personal thing, different from each other. Some want to be with their books in every room, others have them on shelves, behind glass or simply lining their floors. Each home has a story to tell through the way they live with their books.
It's often said that what we read says something about who we are. The way we fill our bookshelves might also send a message about ourselves. From the pile of books on your bedside table to your well-organized shelves, whether we notice it or not, our book collections are telling a story before a single page has been turned.

We choose food to eat every day. We might know some of the reasons for the choices(选择),but food scientist Dr Brian Wansink has found that we are unknown of 90% of our food decision. Here are some “big ideas” in his research on the hidden power that drives our eating.
Food for thought
In one of the studies,Dr Wansink made volunteers eat chocolate yogurt(酸奶) in a dark room. He told them the yogurt was with a taste of strawberry even though they were all eating chocolate. Finally,65% of volunteers described the yogurt as having a “nice strawberry flavour(口味)”!
The research shows that our mind has an effect on our taste. If you expect some food to taste good, it will. So take a moment before you eat your unpleasant healthy food to remind yourself that you are eating something delicious.
Our eyes eat first
How your food looks is just as important as how it tastes. Dr Wansink gave cakes to three groups of people. The cakes were exactly the same but served(提供)in different ways.
①Group One got the cake on a nice plate.
②Group Two got the cake on a paper plate.
③Group Three got the cake on a piece of paper.
Dr Wansink then asked the people how much they would pay for each cake.
①Group One who got the cake on a nice plate would pay $ 3.
② Group Two who got the cake on a paper plate would pay $ 2.
③Group Three who got the cake on a piece of paper would pay$1.
Take some time to make your healthy food look amazing.Cut your fruit into a flower shape and put your colourful vegetables on nice plates. This works really well for your appetite(胃口).
Out of sight, out of stomach
Dr Wansink also found that when people sat at the table full of snacks, they ate 71% more of snacks a day than those sitting near a clear table. We eat what we see. As a result, put all the unhealthy food in your fridge. Hide it and make it really hard to get. The closer bad food is, the more you eat it.
66.How many "big ideas” are mentioned in the passage?
A.2. B.3. C.4. D.5.
67.Why did the volunteers say the yogurt had a strawberry flavour?
A.They didn't like chocolate yogurt. B.The yogurt had a taste of strawberry.

A. Have the same vegetable every day. B. Serve vegetables on lovely plates.

Dear Nancy's parents,
My daughter had a bullying problem a couple of years ago. It wasn't easy, but I ended it. When things are as serious as you describe, it is no time to be silent.
These kids probably know each other from school, so take the rude text messages sent by the bully directly to the headmaster and show him. Describe to him how it is influencing your 13-year-old daughter. Tell him you will not stand it and you want him to put an end to it now.
Bullying is a serious problem these days, and any good headmaster will take it seriously. He will probably deal with the problem with the parents. If they are parents of bad quality, they may do nothing to their child. You may have to repeat this process several times, but you need to keep a check on those text messages and don't allow your child to delete(删除)them.
Now it is the time to draw your child close and take good care of her, because she needs it. My daughter did not like me being involved(参与的)either, but you are the only hope she has of solving this problem, so do it and mean business. Always be polite but straightforward. The headmaster and the parents must know that you are very serious.
If repeated meetings with the headmaster and parents does not solve the problem, then I would ask a lawyer(律师)for help. That will send the message across loud and clear. When you are talking about financial(财务的)loss, most parents will stand up and take notice and act to keep their kid under control! Good luck--I wish you the best in this terrible situation.
Yours, Rachel
71. Why should Nancy's parents show the headmaster the text messages?
A.To describe the bad influence. B. To express their love for Nancy.
C.To ask him to help stop the bullying. D. To find the kid who sent the messages.
72. According to the letter, what should parents do to deal with bullying?
①be polite but straightforward
②delete the rude text messages
③ask the headmaster for help
④do nothing to their child
A.①③ B.②④ C.③④ D.①②
73.What do we learn from the fourth paragraph?
A.Bullying problems are easy to solve.
B.Parents should do nothing about a bullying problem.
C.Parents should be involved in a bullying problem.
D.Children should deal with bullying problems themselves.
74. What should we do if a school bullying problem is not solved by the headmaster?
A. Keep silent and let it go. B.Ask the parents of the bully for money.
C. Ask a lawyer for help. D. Meet the parents of the bully in person.
75. What is the main idea of the letter?
A. Nancy's parents ask for advice against bullying. B. Rachel shares her daughter's experience.
C. Rachel offers advice against bullying. D.Rachel describes Nancy's problems.

The first step is 91 (accept)social invitations although you don't want to go.“It's not enough for people just to stay in touch with others online. That's 92 most people don't show their true selves there,”said Dr Cacioppo, one of this study's scientists. Another step is to get an action plan. As“Actions speak 93 (loud) than words”, people need to be active to communicate with others. They also need to meet people 94 the same interest. Also, they should try to expect the best from each activity.
Anyway,“Tomorrow is another day”. Who knows what good things are 95 (wait) for us?

68. How can we make ourselves eat more vegetables we don't like?
A. Have the same vegetable every day. B. Serve vegetables on lovely plates.
C. Put vegetables on a piece of paper. D. Eat vegetables as soon as they are cooked.
69. To avoid eating too many snacks, we should NOT .

根据短文内容及提示,补全空格内单词,使短文完整、通顺,每空不限一词。
Friends are important in our life, because no one 86 (want) to be lonely. However, some people have difficulty 87 (make) friends and they often feel lonely. What's the reason behind that? Some scientists from Chicago University say, the reason is that this kind of people have brains(脑)different from common people. And they often don't feel 88 ( safety) when they meet 89 (strange).
Does that mean they have no way to become happy again? No, don't worry.
Scientists of this study have thought up ways 90 (help) these people solve this problem. They provided four steps for getting out of loneliness.
