Ⅲ.阅读理解
MySpace, a social networking website, is different from other websites which only provide stories about other people. MySpace is a place that allows you to broadcast your own stories and personal information to as many people as you like. It is a big source of information for and about American kids.
Teenagers and their parents have very different reactions to it. Teens are rushing to join the site, not sharing their parents' worries. It signals yet another generation gap in the digital era.
For teenagers, it is a reliable network to keep in touch with their friends. They will often list their surnames, birthdays, after-school jobs, school clubs, hobbies and other personal information.
“MySpace is an easy way to reach just about everyone. I don't have all the phone numbers of my acquaintances(熟人). But if I want to get in touch with one of them, I can just leave them a message on MySpace,” said Abby Van Wassen. She is a 16-year-old student at Woodland Hills High School of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Parents having the opposing view are seriously concerned about the security problems of MySpace. “Every time we hold a parents' meeting, the first question is always about MySpace,” said Kent Gates, who travels around the country attending Internet safety conferences. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has received at least 288 MySpace-related complaints, according to Mary Beth Buchanan, a lawyer in Pittsburgh.
“Your profile on MySpace shows all your personal information to anyone on the Web. And MySpace even lists this information by birthplace and age. It's like a free checklist for troublemakers and it endangers children,” Buchanan said.
1.From the passage, what can we learn?
A.MySpace brings about the generation gap.
B.MySpace is very careful about people's privacy.
C.MySpace encourages you to list your personal information.
D.MySpace lists the telephone numbers of your friends.
2.Why are some parents against MySpace?
A.Because it takes up too much of their children's spare time.
B.Because they don't want to pay so much money for MySpace.
C.Because they think MySpace has a bad influence on their children.
D.Because troublemakers can easily reach their children through the site.
3.What can we infer from the underlined sentence in Paragraph 5?
A.MySpace is quite popular with parents.
B.MySpace often holds parents' meetings.
C.Parents have lots of questions about the website.
D.MySpace has become a top problem troubling parents.
4.Which of the following can be the best title of the passage?

Ⅳ.七选五
Accessing the Internet isn't normally a problem when you're inside your own home—it's secure. When you are in a public place, it's a different story. You can access Wi-Fi in more places than ever, enabling you to keep in touch with others or catch up on work from wherever you happen to be. 1 .
2 , because you don't know who sets it up, or who else is connecting to it. You'd better not use it. Use your smartphone as a hot spot instead. But for the time that's not practical or even possible, you can still limit the damage from public Wi-Fi with a few simple steps.
No public Wi-Fi network is absolutely secure. That depends as much on who's on it with you as who provides it. Be careful with the public Wi-Fi network popping up on your phone in a shopping mall, or a network operated by a third party that you've never heard of. 3 .
If you can, stick to as few public Wi-Fi networks as possible. In a new city, connect to Wi-Fi in a store or coffee shop you've used before, for example. 4 , the more likely the chance that you'll come across, one that isn't treating your data as carefully as it should be.
Don't give away too much information. 5 . For example, you shouldn't let out your email address or your phone number.
A.The more networks you connect to
B.Using a bit of common sense doesn't hurt
C.A public Wi-Fi network is less secure than your personal one
D.Be very cautious if you are asked for a lot of personal details
E.But getting online isn't quite as safe as with your home network
F.If you have to connect to networks like this, choose those you trust
G.It's up to you to decide whether the trade-off is worth it for some free Internet access
