What do they do to celebrate it? ③ If you go to Rio Carnival, what would you like to see? Step3 While-listening (17 minutes) Activity 2 Listening for the detailed information 1. The teacher asked someone to read "Listening to Interpersonal Relationships" in pairs and discuss how to identify relationships between people based on tone and content. Teachers can provide the following questions to stimulate students' discussion. ① What do tour guides usually say to tour groups? What expressions are often used? ② What questions do interviewers usually ask during an interview? ③ What would a journalist say or do if they wanted to interview a tourist? ④ How do friends usually talk? 2. Invite some group representatives to communicate and speak in class. 3. The teacher plays the tape and asks the students to listen, and writes down the order of the dialogue next to the festival name. 4. Play the tape again and match each conversation with the relationship between the speakers. 5. Check the answers with all classmates in the class. Activity 3-4 1.
