Chinese calligraphy(书法) is an art form of writing Chinese characters(汉字), often with a brush and ink on xuan paper. There was a table set out under a tree in front of the house, and the March Hare and the Hatter were having tea at it: a Dormouse was sitting between them, fast asleep, and the other two were using it as a cushion(垫子), resting their elbows(肘部) on it, and talking over its head. “Very uncomfortable for the Dormouse,” thought Alice. “Only, as it's asleep, I suppose it doesn't mind.”
The table was a large one, but the three were all crowded together at one corner of it: “No room! No room!” they cried out when they saw Alice coming. “There's PLENTY of room!” said Alice indignantly(愤慨地), and she sat down in a large armchair at one end of the table.
“Have some wine,” the March Hare said in an encouraging tone.
Alice looked all round the table, but there was nothing on it but tea. “I don't see any wine,” she remarked.
“There isn't any,” said the March Hare.
“Then it wasn't very civil(礼貌的) of you to offer it,” said Alice angrily.
“It wasn't very civil of you to sit down without being invited,” said the March Hare.
“I didn't know it was YOUR table,” said Alice. “It's laid for a great many more than three.”
“Your hair wants cutting,” said the Hatter. He had been looking at Alice for some time with great curiosity and this was his first speech.
“You should learn not to make personal remarks,” Alice said with some severity(严肃). “It's very rude.”
The Hatter opened his eyes very wide on hearing this; but all he SAID was, “Why is a raven(渡鸦) like a writing desk?”
“Come, we shall have some fun now!” thought Alice. “I'm glad they've begun asking riddles(谜语). I believe I can guess that,” she added aloud.

①A man wears a pink coat and walks the runway(时装秀伸展台). In another picture, he can be seen wearing a bright yellow colored sweater on the street. These pictures have recently gone viral(疯传的) online. They have one thing in common—they are fake, but look real.
②AI(人工智能) tools like Midjourney and DALLE can create such pictures. Simply type in what you want and the picture comes out in minutes. People have never been more worried than today about the spread of fake news.
③However, AI tools are not perfect. Newspapers including The Washington Post and The Paper give some tips on telling fake pictures.
④One way is to look at hands. AI often draws human hands incorrectly. Sometimes the number of fingers is wrong, and sometimes the shape looks strange. The photos AI uses to learn often show hands in different gestures, so it isn't sure what a “hand” really looks like.
⑤We can also pay attention to the details. For example, people in an AImade picture may miss an earring or a part of their glasses. If there's text in a picture, such as a poster, the text is usually unreadable.
⑥AI is also terrible at dealing with the background. If there's a crowd in the picture, people's faces in the corner are usually not clear—or they don't have a face at all!
⑦In order to fight against misinformation, people should think twice and find trusted reports, rather than spread the fake news.
56.The writer develops his idea by ________.
A.listing numbers B.giving examples

My parents were always against my having a pet. However, they agreed that I could volunteer at a local pet shelter(收容所) on the weekend. So I came to the Happy Tails pet shelter where I met my future best friend, Chocolate.
One hot August afternoon, my boss Charlie said to me, “Linda, we are bringing in a young Labrador Retriever. It is only 3 months old and you will look after it.” An hour later, Chocolate came in—a beautiful dog with shiny brown fur and blue eyes. I expected it to be a lot more energetic and fun, but it ran away at once to avoid me, and lay down at the corner.
I asked Charlie what was wrong with it. He said that Chocolate was born with a short tail, leading possible owners to think there was something wrong with it, so the keeper gave it up to the shelter.
Hearing this, I felt very angry that a healthy dog could be thrown away so easily. At the same time, I felt sorry for this poor dog. So I decided to give Chocolate as much love as I could. Soon, whenever Chocolate saw me, it was always excited and jumped with joy.
But one day, Charlie told me that we needed to find an owner for Chocolate or it would be kicked out of the shelter in order to make room for new pets. ________________

Good morning, everyone. Today I would like to talk about how to spend a meaningful summer vacation. It is not only a break from school but also a great opportunity for personal growth. Here are my suggestions.
Firstly, we should have a good rest. This could mean reading our favorite books, exploring new hobbies, or simply enjoying the outdoors. It will be relaxing. Secondly, we can't stop learning. Attending a summer camp, learning a new language, or mastering a musical instrument can be both fun and meaningful. Lastly, volunteering is a good way to give back to the community. Whether it's helping at a local library, cleaning up a park, or helping the elderly, the experiences gained can be invaluable. Let's make this summer unforgettable.
Thank you for listening.
