IT is a beautiful design, gina, but IT needs some small repairs and some fresh paint. How much did you pay for IT? They were selling IT for fifty dollars, but I talked them down to thirty dollars. I think it's a great deal. Yeah, that's actually not a bad Price. Once fixed up, IT would be worth at least seventy dollars. IT would look nice in mary's room or you could even resell IT. But who's going to do the repairs? I'm glad you asked if you can fix the legs. I'll take care of the paint. We can work on IT this weekend and put IT in the guest room before my sister beavers visit on monday. Finally, we'll have something useful in there for our visitors. Oh, so now you've created more work for me. I was planning on watching a football game with tim on saturday. No problem. You'll have plenty of time on sunday. then. For beginners, typing skills are required for this course. In a moment, you'll begin typing the text i've placed on the stand next to each keyboard first. However, i'd like you to look at the screen in front of you. There are no words on IT, but IT does contain two important objects, the end mark and the action point. You'll be learning more about this later right now. Please place your fingers on the keyboard and prepare to use IT as if you were a typewriter, for example, to type capital letters, hold down the shift key. Don't stop typing at the end of a line. When you type a word that is too long to fit at the end of the current line, the computer will automatically move the word to the beginning of the next line if you make a mistake while typing the text, you can correct IT by using the back space key. No, please prepare to begin typing. Hello, welcome to our computer class. For beginners, typing skills are required for this course. (2025高一下·山东济宁·期中)“For years, I found myself walking less and less. As I got older, aches and pains in my back and legs caused me to stay in my chair, watching TV and watching life go by. My doctor told me to be more active, and I tried walkers... and I hated them. Dragging myself along, bending over and looking at the ground two feet in front of me—those didn’t seem like a fun way to get around. Then, one day, a friend introduced me to the Perfect Walker. Nothing is going to stop me now!”
The Perfect Walker enables you to stand upright when you walk. Your weight is supported by your upper arms and shoulders. Traditional walkers force you to put the pressure of your body weight on your hands and wrists. You push them in front of you, looking at the ground instead of where you are going. The Perfect Walker moves with you, with your feet free to walk in a normal way. Its easy height-adjustment system allows it to be the perfect height for anyone from 4’9” to 6’2” and supports up to 300 pounds. It features comfortable arm pads, hand brakes(刹车), a fold-down seat and storage area with a backrest. It’s built with aircraft-grade aluminum(航空级铝) to be strong yet lightweight, and its all-new streamlined(流线型的) design and oversized wheels make it perfect for walking in the yard.
Why spend another day bending over and dragging yourself around—or worse yet, lying in front of the TV all day? Pick up the phone and take back your life.
21. Who is talking about the Perfect Walker in Paragraph 1?
A. A doctor. B. A producer. C. A user. D. A salesman.
22. What can be learned about the Perfect Walker?

23. What can you do by dialing 1-888-235-1481?
A. Get a promotion number. B. Apply for membership.

(2025高一下·湖北恩施·期中)A handwritten obituary(讣告) for a hippo by a zookeeper in East China’s Nanjing has spread quickly as it detailed the hippo’s life, moving both zoo visitors and netizens alike.
“On January 18, hippo Fei Fei passed away due to a lung infection(感染) caused by asthma, leaving his wife Jin Jin at the exhibition zone,” read the notice handwritten by an animal keeper in Hongshan Forest Zoo. According to the obituary, Fei Fei was born in 1997 and had lived in the zoo since it opened in 1998.
Fei Fei, who never got sick, was found to dive shorter and was diagnosed with asthma in March 2021. His condition kept worsening despite regular medical care, the notice said. “The skin on his legs began to rot...Fearing infection, I changed his water daily and carefully applied medicine to each wound. However, he still left, taking away my three years of hopes,” read the notice.
“We will not forget the great contributions Fei Fei made to the hippo population and we value the 27 years he spent with us,” read the obituary. The zoo has started to design and will soon build a new exhibition zone with a large hippo house, a powerful filtration system, a simulated African ecological environment, alongside other African animals for companionship, the obituary added.
It is customary for the zoo to write obituaries for certain animals that pass away. The words in the obituary are simple and sincere, reflecting the deep relationship between the keeper and the animal, one netizen wrote. In January 2023, the zoo penned an obituary for sun bear Lao Ma, thinking back to the 33-year-old animal’s moments at the zoo.
24. Why has the handwritten obituary for Fei Fei spread quickly?

B. It announced the opening of a new zone.

B. He was relieved.
C. He was annoyed.
D. He was indifferent.
26. Why does the zoo plan to build a new exhibition zone?
A. To attract more visitors.
B. To make up for the loss of Fei Fei.

D. To offer the animals a better living environment.
27. What does the author want to convey through this text?
A. The importance of protecting hippos.
B. The process of an animal’s life in the zoo.
C. The good management of Hongshan Forest Zoo.
D. The close connection between humans and zoo animals.

(2025高一下·河南郑州·期中)Animals appear to predict(预测) earthquakes by sensing electricity in the air — the first study to find reliable evidence of the phenomenon has shown.
Cameras showed an “amazing” drop in the number of animals up to 23 days before a major quake hit their rainforest home at Yanachaga National Park in Peru. Lead scientist Dr Rachel Grant, from Anglia Ruskin University, said, “The results showed that just before the earthquake, animals’ activity dropped right down.”
On a normal(正常的) day the cameras placed around Yanachaga National Park record between 5 and 15 animals. But in the 23 days before the earthquake, the number of animals dropped to five or fewer per day. No animals were photographed at all on five of the seven days immediately before the quake.
Another study showed that animal activity remained normal in the park over a different period when seismic(地震的) activity was low. Co-author, professor Friedemann Freund, said, “The cameras were located at an altitude of 900 meters. If air ionization(电离) occurred, the animals would escape to the valley below, where there were fewer positive ions(离子). With their ability to sense their environment, animals can help us understand small changes that occur before major earthquakes.”
Other evidence suggested that before the earthquake, the air around the high mountain sites is filled with positive ions that can be produced when rocks are placed under stress. Positive ions have been known to cause ill effects in humans as well as animals. Scientists believe the animals were made to feel uncomfortable by the positive ions, leading them to avoid the area. They are thought to have escaped to lower ground, where the air was less ionized. The findings may help experts develop better short-term seismic forecasts.
28. How did scientists conduct the study?
A. By comparing different animals’ habits.
B. By observing animals in high mountains.
C. By analyzing the photos of animals they obtained.
D. By explaining the positive ion phenomenon.
29. What usually happens before earthquakes according to the text?
A. The ground at a lower altitude is less ionized.
B. Cameras normally record more animals per day.
C. The air is filled with positive ions.
D. The activity of animals before earthquakes is normal.
30. What can we learn from the text?
A. The findings make for long-term seismic forecasts.
B. Animals tend to be uneasy with more positive ions.
C. Positive ions make humans and animals nervous.
D. All the animals remain abnormal before the earthquake.
31. What can be a suitable title for the text?
A. Negative Influence of Positive Ions B. Ions’ Destruction to the Environment
C. Animals’ Behavior Before Earthquakes D. Creatures’ Ability to Predict Natural Disasters
D
(2025高一下·江西南昌·期中)The Qixi Festival, the Chinese equivalent(等同于) of Valentine’s Day that fell yesterday, was not only a disappointment for forgotten lovers, but also for businessmen left with empty pockets.
The cold attitude has made cultural experts seriously worry that the lovers’ festival, marked for generations since the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), is dying out. Some have even called for legislation(立法) to make the festival a legal Chinese Lovers’ Day, which falls on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar year. But the effectiveness of such a measure is in doubt, although efforts to preserve traditional festivals deserve high praise.
A growing number of traditional Chinese festivals, such as the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, share the same fate as the Qixi Festival. Young people are showing less interest in traditional culture as symbolized by these festivals. Even if all traditional festivals are finally made legal, the risk of them becoming purely formalized celebrations with little meaning is not removed. If the younger generation fails to appreciate the cultural significance of these holidays, there is little that can be done.
While complaining about traditional festivals fading in appeal, decision-makers should reflect on cultural protection. Undeniably, our country has done a bad job of preserving culture and traditional festivals, compared to neighboring Japan and Korea. Only a few years ago did China begin to realize the significance of preserving intangible(非物质) cultural heritage when Korea planned to apply to UNESCO(联合国教科文组织) to list its version of the Dragon Boat Festival as an important example of intangible culture.
Concern about the traditional holidays also reminds people of the growing influence of foreign cultures as the country opens wider to the outside world. With traditional festivals becoming less important and imports such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day gaining widespread popularity, the public, including cultural professionals, has tended to measure traditional Chinese festivals in economic terms. How much money can be made during the holidays is taken into consideration.
In fact, what makes traditional festivals unique and what keeps them alive is their cultural elements. After all, it is a unique culture that contributes to the world’s diversity with globalization.
32. What makes Chinese cultural experts worry that the lovers’ festival is dying out?
A. The disappointment for both businessmen and lovers.
B. The ignorance of the public to the Qixi Festival.
C. The failure to make traditional Chinese festivals legal.
D. The action to preserve culture and traditional festivals.
33. The public looks at the effectiveness of the legalization of the Qixi Festival with a(n)________attitude.
A. doubtful B. favorable
C. indifferent D. hopeful
34. From Paragraph 3, we can learn that ________.
A. traditional festivals are celebrated by more young people
B. legal celebrations reduce the risk of the disappearance of traditional culture
C. the significance of traditional festivals should be better recognized
D. young people value traditional culture but they can do little
35. The writer’s purpose for writing this article is to ________.
A. remind us that the cultural factors make traditional festivals live on
B. complain that Japan and Korea do a better job of preserving culture
C. inform the public of the importance of the globalization
D. warn people against the business role in celebrating traditional festivals

(2025高一下·安徽芜湖·期中)For the past ten years, my dad and I have attended the same school — he as an administrator(行政人员) and I as a student. Our relationship, in and out of school, has been a wild, unpredictable ride.
When I was younger, all that my dad said was doctrine(信条) and anything he did, I naturally copied. I was his little shadow, imitating his every move. We played games together, and stayed up late reading bedtime stories. They were some of the best times. I could count on my dad taking me to school, running into him regularly during the day and riding home with him every afternoon.
As the years ticked by, I hit my pre-teen years. Things started to change. Suddenly, my dad wasn’t the cool guy I once thought he was. He wore his socks too high, listened to horrible country music and laughed too loudly in front of my friends. How embarrassing it was! However, the disasters that occurred in school were even worse. The worst one happened in seventh grade. Our class was having a New Year party, and there he was, dressed up as Donald Duck. With a guitar in hand, he sang the most ridiculous song. Just kill me! I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole. So I ran away as fast as my legs could carry me.
This struggle continued well into high school. But then, something unexpected happened. It was around the time of my 10th-grade physics project. The assignment was to construct a wooden bridge that had the best strength-to-weight ratio (比率). All the students and physics teachers participated.

W: Hello. Welcome to our computer class for beginners. Typing skills are required for this course. In a moment you’ll begin typing the text I’ve placed on the stand next to each keyboard. First, however, I’d like you to look at the screen in front of you. There are no words on it, but it does contain two important objects, the end mark and the action point. You’ll be learning more about these later. Right now, please place your fingers on the keyboard and prepare to use it as if you were a typewriter. For example, to type capital letters, hold down the shift key. Don’t stop typing at the end of a line. When you type a word that is too long to fit at the end of the current line, the computer will automatically move the word to the beginning of the next line. If you make a mistake while typing the text, you can correct it by using the backspace key. Now please prepare to begin typing.
A
(2025高一下·山东济宁·期中)“For years, I found myself walking less and less.
A. Its design is traditional. B. Its height is adjustable.
C. It’s braked with a foot. D. It has to be pushed to move.
23. What can you do by dialing 1-888-235-1481?
A. Get a promotion number. B. Apply for membership.
C. Ask for a free delivery. D. Place an order for the product.
C 22. B 23. D
根据第一段“For years, I found myself walking less and less. Nothing is going to stop me now!( 多年来,我发现自己走路越来越少。
根据第二段“Its easy height-adjustment system allows it to be the perfect height for anyone from 4’9” to 6’2” and supports up to 300 pounds(它简单的高度调节系统使其适合4英尺9英寸到6英尺2英寸的任何人的完美高度,并且可承重高达300磅)”可知,“Perfect Walker”的高度是可以调节的,故选B。
根据最后一段“Why spend another day bending over and dragging yourself around—or worse yet, lying in front of the TV all day? Pick up the phone and take back your life(为什么还要再花一天时间弯腰拖着自己四处走动 —— 或者更糟糕的是,整天躺在电视机前?拿起电话,找回你的生活)”以及图画中“Call now!!! 1-888-235-1481(现在拨打1-888-235-1481)”,可知文章的目的是推销这款助行器,鼓励人们购买。所以拨打1-888-235-1481是可以下这款产品的订单,故选D。

C 29. A 30. B 31. C

B 33. A 34. C 35. A
根据第二段“The cold attitude has made cultural experts seriously worry that the lovers’ festival, marked for generations since the Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 220), is dying out.(这种冷漠的态度让文化专家们严重担忧,自汉代(公元前206年至公元220年)以来代代相传的这个情侣节日正在逐渐消失)”可知,公众对七夕节的冷漠态度让文化专家担心这个自汉代就有的节日正在消失。故选B。
根据第二段“Some have even called for legislation(立法) to make the festival a legal Chinese Lovers’ Day, which falls on the seventh day of the seventh month of the lunar year. But the effectiveness of such a measure is in doubt, although efforts to preserve traditional festivals deserve high praise(一些人甚至呼吁通过立法将这个节日定为法定的中国情人节,它在农历七月初七。但是这样的措施的有效性令人怀疑,尽管保护传统节日的努力值得高度赞扬)”可知,有人呼吁将七夕节立法成为法定的中国情人节,但这种措施的效果令人怀疑,尽管保护传统节日的努力值得称赞。由此可推断公众对七夕节合法化的有效性持怀疑态度,故选A。
34. 推理判断题。第三段提到“Even if all traditional festivals are finally made legal, the risk of them becoming purely formalized celebrations with little meaning is not removed. If the younger generation fails to appreciate the cultural significance of these holidays, there is little that can be done(即使所有传统节日最终都合法化了,它们变成毫无意义的纯粹形式化庆祝活动的风险仍然没有消除。如果年轻一代不能欣赏这些节日的文化意义,那也没什么办法)”可知,如果年轻一代不能欣赏这些节日的文化意义,那也没什么办法,可推理出应该更好地认识传统节日的意义,故选C。
35. 推理判断题。文章最后一段指出“In fact, what makes traditional festivals unique and what keeps them alive is their cultural elements. After all, it is a unique culture that contributes to the globalization with diversity(事实上,使传统节日独特并使其延续的是它们的文化元素。毕竟,正是独特的文化为全球化带来了多样性)”可知,使传统节日独特并使其延续的是它们的文化元素,可推理出作者写作本文的目的是提醒我们文化因素使传统节日得以延续,故选A。

61. which 62. recognition 63. its 64. to 65. basically
故填to honor。
故填have played。
故填a。
分析句子可知,此处为非限制性定语从句,先行词为前面的整个句子“On the global scale, China has put more effort than any other country”,在从句中充当主语,所以应用关系代词which引导。故填which。
故填its。
故填to。

注意:
1.续写词数应为 150 左右;

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
Version 1:
So did my dad, the only administrator! Instantly, that familiar feeling of embarrassment washed over me, and as usual, I fled the scene. But later that day, a classmate approached me, eyes wide with excitement. “Your dad is amazing!” he exclaimed. “You should have seen his bridge design. It’s so clever and sturdy.” Curiosity getting the better of me, I decided to find my dad. I found him in his office, looking over some papers. When he saw me, he smiled gently. “I know I might have embarrassed you today,” he said softly. “But I just wanted to be a part of your school life, to understand what you’re going through.” I was taken aback. I had never considered his intentions before.
He’d won, and I gradually learned to appreciate something in my head. From that day on, I started to see my dad in a new light. I noticed how hard he worked at school, not only for his job but also for me. I realized that his quirks were just part of who he was, and they didn’t make him any less of a great dad. Whenever I saw him around school, instead of feeling embarrassed, I felt a sense of pride. Our relationship, once strained, was now stronger than ever, built on a new foundation of understanding and respect.
Version 2:
So did my dad, the only administrator! So did my dad, the only administrator! He seemed extremely enthusiastic about this project, spending hours in his workshop, sawing and hammering away. When the day of the competition arrived, I was secretly praying that he wouldn’t make a fool of himself again. To my surprise, his bridge was not only incredibly well-built but also a masterpiece of engineering. It withstood the weight test with ease, while many students’ bridges collapsed. Everyone in the school was amazed, especially me. I watched in awe as my dad explained the scientific principles behind his creation to the applauding crowd.
He’d won, and I gradually learned to appreciate something in my head. I realized that my dad was not just the embarrassing figure I had thought him to be in my pre-teen and early high school years. He was intelligent, creative and passionate about what he did. His performance in the physics project made me see him in a new light. I began to understand that his quirks were part of his charm. From then on, I no longer felt ashamed of him. Instead, I was proud to call him my dad. Our relationship started to mend, and we once again found common ground, both in and out of school.
