Intonation Task List
A. Work out the rules:
1.We use a(falling / rising)intonation at the end of a statement.
2.We use a(falling / rising)intonation at the end of a yes-no question.
3.We use a(falling / rising)intonation at the end of a wh-question.
4.To show surprise, we use a(falling / rising)intonation at the end of a phrase or a sentence.
5.In alternative questions with or, our tone(falls / rises)on the first part of the question and(falls / rises)on the second part.
