It’s here that Tang Hanxiao, an experienced singer and composer, wrote the theme song, Jiushi Ne Zha (It is Ne Zha) for the film. In the summer of 2024, Tang was asked to make up the music for the film. As the making of the film was not finished, he was given only the plot (情节) and allowed to watch the last two minutes of the film, where Ne Zha tells Ao Bing that he has decided to continue his fight. “This scene gave me a picture of the whole film and allowed me to feel the energy of the role. Everything about the song begins with this scene,” says Tang. For Tang, the creation of the song was a deeply personal journey—one that used music to connect with and show the personalities of the roles. Tang says the suona, an instrument known for its exciting and powerful sound, is a symbol of the courage to challenge society bias (偏见), making it a perfect match for Ne Zha’s brave and rebellious (叛逆的) nature. As a result, it became the driving force (驱动力) behind the song. “Making art is like dreaming, you can shape a world of your own,” Tang says. “When I connected with Ne Zha, there was a moment I really felt like I was him. That feeling gave power to the song.” As a result of the film’s popularity, the song has become one of the most listened to on major social platforms (平台). Making art and dreaming both have nothing to do with real life. C. Making art is similar to having a dream because you can’t control it. D. Making art allows people to build a personal world just like in a dream. 17. What is the passage mainly about? A. The popularity of the film Ne Zha 2. B. The influence of the suona in modem music. C. The creation story of the theme song for Ne Zha 2. D. The life experiences of a famous singer and composer. 【答案】14. A 15. A 16. D 17. As a result, it became the driving force (驱动力) behind the song.”可知,唐说唢呐以其激昂有力的声音著称,是挑战社会偏见的勇气的象征,它与哪吒勇敢叛逆的性格完美契合,所以它成为了这首歌背后的驱动力。故选A。 【16题详解】 推理判断题。根据“Making art is like dreaming, you can shape a world of your own,” Tang says. “When I connected with Ne Zha, there was a moment I really felt like I was him. That feeling gave power to the song.” C。 C What’s your favourite poem? For some people it’s a short, funny limerick (五行打油诗). For others it might be a famous love sonnet (十四行诗) written by William Shakespeare. Some poems describe the beauty of nature, others discuss questions about family. There are long epic (史诗) poems that tell of heroes and monsters. On the other hand, there are Japanese haiku (俳句) poems, which have just three lines. When it comes to poetry, there is something for everybody. Some people say reading a poem is better than diving into a normal story. What do you think? Yes — poems are fun to learn and recite (背诵) The great thing about poems is that they come in all shapes and sizes. Short poems are perfect for when you don’t have much time — certainly not enough time to read a whole book. With a few words, poetry can be beautiful, thoughtful and influential. Poems are great because you can memorize them and share them with your friends; it’s harder to do that with a story. Poems can be song lyrics (歌词) too— you could learn one by heart and recite it on the way to school. A book of poems gives you lots of themes all in one place, offering you much more than just one story. No — you can get lost in a story for days It’s because poems are mostly so short that they are not as good as stories. It’s much more enjoyable to curl (蜷缩) up with a good book, to keep coming back to it, chapter after chapter, rather than read a poem that you might have forgotten by tomorrow. It’s more enjoyable to really get to know the characters of a story and go on a journey with them. Besides, poems can be quite hard to understand, especially old ones that were written centuries ago. Novels usually have more information about characters and settings (背景), which means you get to step into a whole new world and escape from reality. You also find out what happens in the end, while with some poems you are left wondering what they really mean. 18. Which is true about the types of poems? A. Limericks are funny poems with three lines. B. Love sonnets describe the beauty of nature. C. Epic poems discuss questions about family. D. Haiku poems are short Japanese poems. 19. What does the underlined sentence in paragraph 1 mean? A. Everybody loves reading poems. B. People have similar interest in poems. C. Poetry can meet different people’s tastes. D. Poetry influences people in the same way. 20. Who do you think prefers stories to poems? A. Amy: I like short and beautiful words. B. Lily: I want to know more about the characters C. Millie: I have a strong interest in song lyrics. D. Simon: I want to recite what I read in a short time 21. Where is the passage probably taken from? A. A literature magazine. B. A sports website. C. A science fiction. D. A book review. 【答案】18. D 19. C 20. B 21. He seems to prefer having the students learn science in a more do—it—yourself way. “Today,” said Mr. Hussey, “everyone will be making an icebox!” In groups of two, we would design a box that can keep things at a temperature for a certain period of time. We could use any materials we wanted and build the box any way we liked. To check our work, there would be a competition the next week. Every group would receive a piece of ice and put it in the icebox. The group that had the biggest piece left the next day would win! As always, I partnered with my best friend, Vlad. That afternoon we went straight to the library and looked through some books. After a discussion, we decided to put ice in a small box, and then put that small box inside a bigger one. Between the two boxes would be the heat insulator (隔热材料) . And Vlad insisted that styrofoam (泡沫塑料) would make a good insulator. Then our first design was made: a small styrofoam box inside a larger one. Building the device (装置) was much harder than we thought. I couldn’t believe how hard it could be to cut a straight line through a piece of styrofoam! As a result, there were always gaps (豁口) when I tried to put the pieces together. After hours of hard work, our icebox was finally siting on the table waiting for the glue to dry, though with cracks (缝隙) on each side. The first test of the icebox was not satisfying. I carefully picked out a big piece of ice and placed it inside the icebox. When I woke up unusually early the next morning and looked into the icebox, there wasn’t any ice left. “What do you think?” I asked Vlad. “Let’s start again.” He said. 22. B. They created a second icebox. C. They kept using the first icebox. D. They borrowed a better icebox. 【答案】22. D 23. D 24. B 25. A Amy: I like short and beautiful words. B. Lily: I want to know more about the characters C. Millie: I have a strong interest in song lyrics. D. Simon: I want to recite what I read in a short time 21. Where is the passage probably taken from? A. A literature magazine. B. A sports website. C. A science fiction. D. A book review. D Our science teacher Mr. Hussey enjoys giving out special and challenging homework. 22.
