第一节 (满分 15 分) (One possible version)
Be the Most Beautiful Version of Yourself
In my view, the theme “Be the Most Beautiful Version of Yourself” doesn’t simply refer to
being a person with an appealing appearance. Instead, it emphasizes a beautiful soul filled with
kindness, a strong will and a positive mindset.
To become the best version of ourselves, we should first develop self-awareness. By
reflecting on our strengths and weaknesses, we can understand how to enhance ourselves.
Secondly, we must be committed to continuous learning by reading, taking courses or learning
new skills, which can broaden our knowledge and eyes.
Let’s take immediate action. Every day presents an opportunity for our improvement. With
great efforts, we can become the most beautiful versions of ourselves.
第二节 (满分 25 分) (One possible version)
He made his way to Ben, saying firmly, “Don’t panic! We’ll get out safe.” Ben, his eyes
wide with fear, nodded with a forced smile. The second the ground stopped shaking, the students
didn’t hesitate to come out from under the desks and make for the exit in an orderly fashion,
following the route they were familiar with from the drills. Alex quickly lifted Ben out of his chair,
carried him in his strong arms and made his way out of the classroom. He put Ben into his
wheelchair outside and pushed it forward quickly. They succeeded in escaping from the teaching
building to the open ground.
As Ms Eyre made it to her classroom, she found nobody left behind. Relieved, she
quickly reached the playground where her class gathered. When she scanned the crowd and finally
spotted Ben, she hurried over, patting him on the shoulder and saying, “Thank goodness, Ben.
You’re here.” “Alex helped me out,” Ben responded with gratitude. “You did a great job.” Ms
Eyre praised Alex, who just shrugged, saying smilingly, “We’re all here. That’s what matters.”
Everyone clapped. The students’ unity and courage made this earthquake an unforgettable
experience, strengthening their bond and deepening their understanding of how vital it was to look
out for each other.

Text 1
W: It’s refreshing to see the sun again. It’s been raining for the past two weeks. I’ve had enough of
it!
M: Me too. But according to the weatherman, it’ll blow hard tomorrow.
W: Oh, no!
Text 2
M: Now, you can work in pairs and discuss these questions. The first one is: Would you like to be
a reporter? And why?
W: Well, Mr. Robertson, my deskmate asked for leave today. Can I join Linda and Bill?
Text 3
M: I need to decorate my room. Do you have any suggestions?
W: How about adding some plants? They can bring life to your room.
M: Good idea. And I’m thinking of repainting the walls and the cupboard.
Text 4
M: Where is our car? I remember I parked it right here.
W: Maybe the traffic police towed it away. I told you not to park in front of the convenience store.
Parking is not allowed here.
Text 5
W: What a nice suit! When did you get it, Peter?
M: Last week. Actually, it was a birthday gift from my sister. She knows I’ve always wanted to
buy a tailor-made suit.
W: Well, it looks great on you.
M: Thank you.
Text 6
M: Have you heard that John has been promoted to sales manager?
W: Oh, really? That’s good news. He’s been working really hard.
M: Yes, and he always takes on additional responsibilities. He definitely deserves it.
W: That’s right. Will he hold a promotion party?
M: That’s why I’m here. He’s going to invite our department to his house this Sunday.
W: Wonderful! What should we prepare for him?
M: I haven’t decided yet. I’m going to the Star Mall to pick out something the day before the
party.
W: Can I go with you?
M: Yes, of course.
Text 7
W: Fancy Hotel. How can I help you?
M: Hello, I’m planning a trip to New York with my family, so I want to book a suite for a week.
W: Alright, sir. What dates are you going to book?
M: We’ll arrive there the day after tomorrow.
W: Okay, that is July 15th. And the departure date is the 22nd?
M: Yes.
W: Well, do you have any room preferences?
M: We don’t want a suite near an elevator or a bustling street. It’s noisy. I know you have some
3
suites with a view of a park or a garden. Is there an available one?
W: Yes. I’ll book you a suite facing a quiet park. Is that all right?
M: OK, thanks. Can I pay by credit card?
W: Of course. May I know your name, sir?
M: Yes, I’m Daniel Burnham. And my email address is...
Text 8
M: We’re about to graduate from high school. Who do you think is the best teacher?
W: I think we have many good teachers. One of them is Mr. Lawrence. He often helps us
understand knowledge by doing physical experiments. I also like our math teacher though he’s
strict. What about you?
M: Well, that must be our history teacher, Mrs. March. You know I was a shy person. Mrs. March
would talk to me and give me encouragement every time I did a presentation. Then, I began to
gain a bit more confidence.
W: Well, good teachers excel at recognizing students’ issues and encouraging them to overcome
those issues.
M: I agree. I want to be a teacher like Mrs. March. I would try to find the students who need
encouragement and make them feel better about themselves.
W: Hmm, if I had an opportunity to be a teacher, I would explore the potential of my students first.
M: That’s important, too.
Text 9
W: Do you have a favorite restaurant?
M: Yes, I do. It must be a French restaurant called The Little Snail.
W: Where is it? In the suburbs or in the city center?
M: Neither. It’s in a small coastal fishing village.
W: What does it look like?
M: There are only a few things hanging on the walls. The restaurant is simple but great.
W: How about the service?
M: It doesn’t have lots of staff, so it can get quite busy and you need to wait for a while. But when
the food arrives, it is so good that you do not care about anything else.
W: That’s nice. What are the prices like?
M: Well, its prices are reasonable compared to the French restaurants in a big city.
W: Then what do you usually order there?
M: Traditional French food. I often get some kind of meat dish. And there’s usually a delicious
sauce that might be made from wine or cream and herbs.
W: Sounds delicious.
Text 10
M: When I read the economic news: the housing crisis, the high cost of groceries, or the
possibility that AI will make my professional skills out of date, I always come back to the same
thought — I should start growing my own vegetables.
Financial savings and fresh produce aside, gardening and spending time in nature have been
shown to reduce stress, depression and anxiety. For people like me who live in cities where
community gardens are popular, there’s evidence that gardening helps build a sense of community
with neighbors. And of course, the regular exercise of planting can support general health.
But there’s a problem: Like about 20% of adults in the US, I live with chronic pain. Mine is
4
in my legs, and it can make repetitive bending very uncomfortable.
Fortunately for me, this spring I’ve been seeing Rebecca Stephenson, a clinical specialist in
physical therapy at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Massachusetts. And she has a passion for plants.
She grows flowers, as well as herbs in her own garden, and she has a lot of ideas about how to
modify gardening activities to prevent pain.
