Four Famous Festivals in the World
Holi Festival in India
The ancient Hindu festival of Holi is held in late February and early March. This colorful act symbolizes the victory of good over evil (邪恶) each year. It begins with a bonfire (篝火) , the flame of which burns away evil, and after that, the participants are in for some real fun. Crowds of people sprinkle (酒) each other with colored powder and organic paints as a sign of goodness and good luck.

The most romantic city in Italy fills with bright colors and sounds of music every year at the end of February. Residents and guests of Venice dress up in splendid costumes in the style of the Middle Ages and cover their faces with masks. The main stages are set up in a large park with artificial ponds and beautiful green areas. The area will be equipped in advance with food courts, grills, and all the necessary equipment.
Burning Man in the USA
Many cultural events pale in comparison to the legendary Burning Man, held in Nevada from the last Monday in August to the first Monday in September. The unique atmosphere is created not only by the organizers and the desert where the festival takes place but also by the participants themselves. Holding a cloth snake, 7-year-old Chen Kaiming, made a remarkable appearance as the lead dancer during the opening performance of the 2025 Spring Festival Gala. His performance brought the Yingge dance, the over 300-year-old intangible cultural heritage (非遗), back into the national spotlight.
The Yingge dance is a folk art form that began in Guangdong Province, combining elements of opera, dance and martial arts. Its performances are inspired by the story of The Water Margin (水浒传). Set during the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the novel tells the story of 108 outlaws who gather at the Liangshan Marsh to fight against cruel rulers. The Yingge dance uses the dancers’ movements, costumes and facial makeup to express the heroic spirit of upholding justice and fighting evil.
Holding a cloth snake, the lead dancer copies the snake’s dance. His graceful steps and gestures guide the team's direction, rhythm and formation. Each dancer adopts a horse-riding stance (姿势), leaping sideways while striking the sticks to the rhythm of the drums.
In 2006, Puning Yingge dance was recognized as part of China’s national intangible cultural heritage. To train the next generation of dancers, Chen Laifa challenged the traditional norms that restricted participation to adult men by launching the “Yingge Dance in Schools” initiative. This program introduced the art form to primary and secondary schools, and even kindergartens. The initiative has been well-received by parents, who believe it not only improves children’s physical fitness but also reduces their reliance on electronic devices.
Also, Yingge dance has embraced innovations in both its form and content. For example, the performance during the 2025 Spring Festival Gala kept the essence of the traditional dance while including modern dance elements, making it more appealing to contemporary audiences. This year, Yingge dance teams from Guangdong were also invited to perform on overseas stages as part of Spring Festival celebrations.
“The preservation of intangible cultural heritage requires not only the passing down of skills but also innovation that keeps up with the times,” said Lin Lunlun, former President of Hanshan Normal University.
24.What aspect of the Yingge dance does Paragraph 2 mainly talk about?
A.Its origin. B.Its significance.
C.Its development. D.Its legend.
25.Why did Chen Laifa launch the “Yingge Dance in Schools” initiative?
A.To enrich children’s school life. B.To engage younger generations.
C.To promote international recognition. D.To modernize the traditional dance.
26.Why does the author mention the 2025 Spring Festival Gala in Paragraph 5?
A.To show the Yingge dance’s popularity. B.To give examples of government’s efforts.
C.To compare traditional and modern dances. D.To illustrate innovations in the Yingge dance.
27.Which of the following would be the best title?
A.Heroic Rhythms: The Severe Crisis of Yingge Dance
B.Ancient Battles Reborn: The Martial Roots of Yingge Dance
C.Dancing through Dynasties: The Renewal of Yingge Dance
D.From Guangdong to the World: The Global Journey of Yingge Dance

The Alaskan government has a new four-legged friend keeping migratory birds and other animals away from the runways at Fairbanks International Airport: a dog-like robot, “Aurora.” The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities posted its “new hire” on Instagram last month, saying that the robot will be trialed to “augment airport safety” by trying to prevent encounters between planes and wildlife.
In 2023,92 animal collisions (相撞) were reported at airports near Alaska. And that’s just Alaska. Trying to ease this problem without harming wildlife requires some creative thinking. And that is where Aurora comes in. Aurora is a headless robot, about the size of a hunting dog. Aurora can climb rocks and stairs, and even do a little dance.
It is these movements that its creators, Boston Dynamics, hope will be part of a strategy to keep runways clear of wildlife, especially migratory birds in the autumn. Silly as it may seem, Aurora can do these movements of predators such as foxes and wolves, which hopefully will create a fear response in the birds and other wildlife.
Aurora is just the latest in a long line of rejected potential solutions to the bird and wildlife problem at airports. One suggestion that was put forward in Alaska was flying drones (无人机) to throw repellents (驱虫剂) into the air, but it was believed too risky.
And yet, despite the fact that Aurora costs about $70,000, according to Ryan Marlow, Aurora’s robot handler, the robot is still preferable to a dog. “A border dog requires food, training, warmth, but doesn’t collect data for us,” he said.
There is something about Aurora that has great fun. Maybe it is the dancing, or just the very concept of a robot chasing birds around. Whatever the case, comparing to other solutions it seems that Aurora can make airports just a bit more safe for people and animals alike.
28.What does the underlined word “augment” mean in paragraph 1?
A.Enhance. B.Inspect. C.Prove. D.Check.
29.How does Aurora intend to keep runways clear of wildlife?
A.By producing chemical substances. B.By modelling after predators’ behaviors.
C.By using sound waves to drive animals away. D.By directly removing animals from the area.
30.Why does Ryan Marlow consider Aurora preferable to a real dog?
A.It is cheaper in the long run. B.It requires food and training.
C.It can climb rocks and stairs. D.It can gather data for analysis.
31.What does the author imply about the Aurora robot in the last paragraph?
A.It is not as effective as expected. B.It has brought entertainment to the airport.
C.It has made airports the safest places for all. D.It is a more practical solution than other options.
D
Picture this: You’re at a movie theater food stand loading up on snacks. You have a choice of a small, medium or large soda. The small is $3.50 and the large is $5.50. It’s a tough decision: The small size may not last you through the whole movie but $5.50 for some sugary drink seems unreasonable. But there’s a third option, a medium soda for $5.25.
Medium may be the perfect amount of soda for you, but the large is only a quarter more. If you’re like most people, you end up buying the large.
If you’re wondering who would buy the medium soda, the answer is almost no one. In fact, there’s a good chance the marketing department purposely priced the medium soda as a decoy, making you more likely to buy the large soda rather than the small.
I have written about this characteristic in human nature before with my friend Dan Ariely, who studied this phenomenon extensively after noticing the pricing for subscriptions (订阅) to The Economist.
The digital subscription was $59, the print subscription was $125, and the print plus digital subscription was also $125. No one in their right mind would buy the print subscription when you could get digital as well for the same price, so why was it even an option?
Ariely ran an experiment and found that when only the two “real” choices were offered, more people chose the less expensive digital subscription. But the addition of the bad option made people much more likely to choose the more expensive print plus digital option.
Brain scientists call this effect “asymmetric dominance (不对称优势)”, and it means that people tend toward the choice nearest clearly inferior (较差的) option. Marketing professors call it the decoy effect which is certainly easier to remember. Lucky for consumers, almost no one in the business community understands it.
The decoy effect works because of the way our brains assign value when making choices. Value is almost never absolute; rather, we decide an object’s value relative to our other choices. If more options are introduced, the value equation changes.
32.What does the word “decoy” in paragraph 3 most likely mean?
A.Lie. B.Bargain. C.Trap. D.Bonus.
33.Why is the pricing for subscriptions to The Economist mentioned?
A.To explain how the decoy effect was tested.
B.To illustrate a decoy effect case in marketing.
C.To note possible limitations of the decoy effect.
D.To highlight the significance of the decoy effect.
34.How does the decoy effect influence consumer behavior?
A.It pushes consumers toward a target option.
B.It encourages consumers to purchase more.
C.It guides consumers away from inferior options.
D.It helps consumers discover their true preferences.
35.What can we learn about an object’s value from the last paragraph?
A.It stays the same with more options. B.It is determined by comparing options.
C.It equals the object’s production cost. D.It affects the number of available options.
第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
It happens countless times a day. A flower’s bright color and the smell of sweet nectar attract a bee. The bee stops by for a quick taste and pollen (花粉) sticks to its body. 36 And it leaves the pollen as it has another meal. This is an example of animal pollination (授粉) — a process extremely important to plant reproduction.
37 Worldwide, nearly a thousand plants that we grow for food, spices, clothing fibers, and medicine depend on it. If pollination suddenly stopped, we would have no apples, tomatoes, coffee, and many other goods.
This important process is carried out by more than 200,000 different animal species known as pollinators. Flies and beetles are the original pollinators, going back to when flowering plants first appeared 130 million years ago. 38 Even nonflying animals help out: monkeys tear open flowers with their hands, accidentally spreading pollen into the air and onto their fur.
Pollinators are therefore important, but they are also at risk. Climate change, habitat loss, and invasive predators (入侵捕食者) all threaten them. The United States, for example, has lost over 50 percent of its honeybees over the past ten years. A serious threat facing bees is colony collapse disorder (蜂群崩溃失调), when worker bees mysteriously disappear from their colony. 39
There is a quote attributed to Einstein that if bees ever disappeared, man would only have four years left to live. Wildlife photographer Louie Schwartzberg says, “Whether that’s true or not does not really matter. 40 The healthiest food we need to eat would disappear without pollinating plants. It’s pretty serious.”
A.The key point is that there is a real danger.
B.Many plants rely on pollination for survival.
C.Birds, butterflies, and ants also do their part.
D.Scientists are still trying to identify its cause.
E.The bee then travels to another flower of the same type.
F.Bees benefit our environment in a number of different ways.
G.It’s not only plants that depend on animal pollination — humans do, too.

阅读下面材料,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一篇完整的短文。
The frightening day of our diving test was here. Our parents thought we were lucky to have an Olympic-size swimming pool at the school. My mom stressed that the swimming pool was one of the best in our city. But I didn’t feel happy about it at all. Instead, I felt afraid of the swimming pool. It was mainly because I was terribly shy.
I was so shy that I always sat at the back of the room in class so I’d not be called upon to read. As for the present physical education class each Monday morning, I would work my way to the back of the line forming at the diving board so I would not have to practice the dives.
Now, it was another Monday morning - the morning of our diving test. My blood ran cold when the teacher Ms. Robbins announced that we would be graded for our final on the most difficult dive- the jackknife. And she added, “This diving test is important. The one who fails has to spare time in the following Monday mornings to practice diving in this swimming pool and attend this test again.”
My body kept shaking with fear as the line to the scary diving board shortened. As I watched, each student seemed to perform the challenging dive effortlessly. And shortly I would have to attempt something that I had never even practiced before.
Then I remembered someone telling me that when you picture yourself doing a skill over and over, it’s just as effective as physically practicing that skill. So I watched carefully as each classmate jumped at the end of the board once, added a jump for height, folded their body in half to reach for their toes, and finally straightened out like an arrow for going into the water. After carefully watching for a while, I was actually in a state of surprise, because all of a sudden I realized that it was possible for me to perform these four steps of diving.
Eventually all classmates except me finished jumping. The teacher announced that it was my turn.
注意:1. 续与词数应为150左右;
2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。
With my heart knocking wildly, I walked down the diving board towards its end.

Dear Tom,
Recently we’ve learned how to appreciate poems from English lessons. It is believed that poetry is the combination of “sound” and “sense”. In terms of sound, rhymes and rhythm are two key elements in poetry. Thanks to them, a poem may seem much more easily understood. As for sense, it is the images created and emotions within that make poems beautiful and powerful.
I’m really interested in poems and I wonder if you have other suggestions on appreciating them. For instance, how to get the same feeling as the writer’s when reading the poem?
Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
Li Hua

With my heart knocking wildly, I walked down the diving board towards its end. Looking down, I found all my classmates were looking up at me. My face suddenly felt hot. Finally, I ignored them. Picturing the four steps of diving, I jumped. Then I folded my body but failed to reach for my toes. And instead of entering the water like an arrow, I fell into the water, with my body being flat. As a result, it caused a huge sound, which made all the classmates burst out laughing.
Knowing I failed, I climbed out of the pool, embarrassed. After class, Ms. Robbins comforted and encouraged me. In the following many Monday mornings, I practiced again and again under her guidance. Gradually, I became more confident and less shy. Finally, I attended the diving test again and performed well. This time, my classmates cheered and clapped. I was so glad. I knew my success resulted from my beating my shyness and my hard practice.

Venice Carnival in Italy

第二节 (满分25分)
注意:1. 续与词数应为150左右;

Teens grow quickly, not just in height, but also in their feelings and ideas about the world. At the same time, they are still figuring out who they really are. On top of all that, they start to want more freedom. Teenagers also face pressure from friends, school, and family. Sometimes, they may feel stressed about keeping up with schoolwork or fitting in with their friends. Peer pressure can make them do things they might not be sure about. But it’s also when they build strong friendships and discover what really matters to them. At this age, it’s important for teens to have support from parents and other trusted adults. While they may want to make their own choices, talking things through with someone they trust can make a big difference. Even though teens might make mistakes, it’s all part of learning and growing. By understanding what they go through, we can help them feel confident and ready for the future. Thanks for joining us today. Stay tuned for more discussions like this, and take care!

In the middle of the 19th century,a fever dream of riches beyond measure drew countless explorers west to the mountains of central California.Although the gold rush ended up being a bust for many who sought a fortune, some of those explorers discovered a natural treasure that would draw permanent settlers to Yosemite Valley in the following decade.
Vast wilderness, beautiful mountains, countless waterfalls, and abundant wildlife drew Native Americans to Yosemite roughly 10,000 years ago. The first non-native tourists arrived in the mid-1850s after reports from gold seekers told of an area of breathtaking beauty that no words were able to describe.
Fortunately, some of Yosemite’s earliest settlers recognized that Yosemite’s natural beauty and resources needed to be preserved for future generations. In the midst of the Civil War,President Abraham Lincoln signed a grant to protect Yosemite permanently, thus making it the nation’s first land to be dedicated to recreation and setting the stage for what would become the national park system.
One of Yosemite’s earliest ambassadors was Scottish-American naturalist and writer John Muir. After living in Yosemite for a few years,he helped define its proposed boundaries. He also wrote articles that helped lead to its official title as a National Park in 1890.He later co-founded the Sierra Club in 1892 to advocate for its continued preservation and protection.
Located on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in central California,Yosemite National Park runs across nearly 748,000 acres, almost 95%of which is wilderness. Around four million visitors come to Yosemite each year to camp, hike its miles of trails, climb its rock formations, and photograph its impressive sights. Are you ready to visit Yosemite National Park? Which of Yosemite’s sights would you most like to experience?
24.Which of the following best explains “bust” underlined in Paragraph 1?
A.Memory. B.Symbo1. C.Failure. D.Challenge.
25.When did the first non-native tourists come to Yosemite?
A.After it was discovered by gold seekers.
B.When the gold rush finally came to a stop.
C.Before native Americans found its beauty.
D.When it became a National Park in 1890.
26.What do we learn about John Muir?
A.He was the first to build the national park.
B.He helped set the boundaries of Yosemite.
C.He wrote to collect money for Yosemite.
D.He gave Yosemite an official name.
27.What do we know about Yosemite National Park?
A.It has been well preserved since the Civil War.
B.It was originally created to protect wild animals.
C.It used to be well-known for its man-made beauty.
D.It was once damaged by some of its earliest settlers.
【答案】24.C 25.A 26.B 27.A
根据第二段中的“The first non-native tourists arrived in the mid-1850s after reports from gold seekers told of an area of breathtaking beauty that no words were able to describe.”可知,第一批非本地游客是在听淘金者说这里有难以用语言描绘的美景后来到约塞米蒂的,也就是他们在这个地方被淘金者发现之后来到这里的,故A项正确。
26.细节理解题。根据第四段中的“After living in Yosemite for a few years,he helped define its proposed boundaries.”可知,在约塞米蒂居住多年后,John Muir帮助确定了约塞米蒂的边界,故B项正确。
27.推理判断题。根据第三段中的“In the midst of the Civil War,President Abraham Lincoln signed a grant to protect Yosemite permanently”可知,内战期间,林肯总统就签署了一项条款,永久保护约塞米蒂,由此可知,自内战期间起,约塞米蒂就得到了很好的保护,故A项正确。
C
Every child should have a good science education whether they want to be the next Albert Einstein or Michael Jordan. Science is all around us. It is everywhere, reaching everything that we do. The “we” in that last statement includes children. Children who understand how science plays a role in our everyday lives have a wonderful foundation (基础) for success in life.
Children can learn science at any age really. The earlier they start, the better. The best way for kids to learn is through play and repetition. There are wonderful science toys for preschool science activities. With play being the best way for kids to learn, it makes sense then to introduce them to toys that encourage understanding science. Children love to use their imagination to have fun and to help them understand the world around them. So play is a wonderful time to introduce science to them. Think of the games that we used to play: Don’t Spill the Beans, Don’t Break the Ice, The Telephone Game and Lincoln Logs. Each of them has science behind it. Children are curious as they feel the world, trying to make sense of what is around them. Science feeds their curiosity. It is a hunger that needs to be encouraged and satisfied. The best way for children to learn science is to let them play science toys. Finding these toys is not as hard as one would think. To make sure that you get good quality toys, visit science toy shops online where you can find unique science toys, such as 3D space projectors, or Hydro Greenhouses.
Help your children appreciate the world around them by understanding the world around them. This way, they understand how we are all connected together. Children will not only question the world, but also be able to come up with answers to those questions on their own. Science is life.
28.Why should children have a good science education?
A.It satisfies their curiosity.
B.It means everything around them.
C.It makes them become next Albert Einsteins.
D.It is likely to help them succeed in the future.
29.What do the games mentioned in paragraph 2 have in common?
A.They involve high technology. B.They introduce children to science.
C.They are the most popular games. D.They are suitable for preschool children.
30.What does “It” refer to in paragraph 3?
A.Science. B.Children’s curiosity.
C.Playing science toys. D.Children’s imagination.
31.For whom is the text most probably written?
A.Parents. B.Children. C.Scientists. D.Teachers.
【答案】28.D 29.B 30.B 31.A
【导语】这是一篇说明文,主要讲述了每个孩子都应该接受良好的科学教育,科学无处不在,影响着我们所做的一切。
28.细节理解题。根据文章第一段“Children who understand how science plays a role in our everyday lives have a wonderful foundation (基础) for success in life.(理解科学在我们日常生活中如何发挥作用的孩子,拥有在生活中取得成功的良好基础)”可知,孩子接受良好的科学教育可能会帮助他们在未来取得成功。故选 D。
29.细节理解题。根据文章第二段“Think of the games that we used to play: Don’t Spill the Beans, Don’t Break the Ice, The Telephone Game and Lincoln Logs. Each of them has science behind it.(想想我们过去玩的游戏:Don’t Spill the Beans, Don’t Break the Ice, The Telephone Game and Lincoln Logs。它们每一个背后都有科学原理)”可知,第二段提到的游戏的共同之处在于它们都能向孩子们介绍科学知识。故选 B。
30.指代猜测题。根据第三段“Children are curious as they feel the world, trying to make sense of what is around them. Science feeds their curiosity. It is a hunger that needs to be encouraged and satisfied.(孩子们在感受世界时充满好奇,试图理解周围的事物。科学满足他们的好奇心。它是一种需要被鼓励和满足的渴望)”可推知,这里的 “It” 指代的是前文提到的 “their curiosity”,即孩子们的好奇心。故选 B。
31.推理判断题。根据最后一段“Help your children appreciate the world around them by understanding the world around them.(通过让你的孩子了解周围的世界来帮助他们欣赏周围的世界)”中的 “your children” 以及全文都在讲述孩子接受科学教育相关内容可推知,这篇文章最有可能是写给父母的。故选 A。
D
There is no such thing as a quick Web search. For example, you just want to look up one thing. But before you know it, you are likely to find more than 37 sites, and 45 minutes are likely to be wasted on what should be a 30-second exercise.
We used to waste our spare time in front of the TV. There is an old saying: No one can become successful sitting on the couch watching TV. The same is true of the Internet. And endlessly surfing the Web isn’t going to get your goals done. Nor is it going to magically make you successful. So reduce your endless surfing. But what should you do?
If you really need to get work done without being disturbed, turn off the Internet. Use “airplane mode” on your phone. If you need a better way to do that, there are software apps that will let you block certain websites for a certain amount of time. These apps can block news but still let you do your work, research, etc.
These days, information can be easily found through a click or Web search. But do you really need to know the answer to every bit of trivia (琐事) that pops up in the course of your day? Try not to immediately look everything up on the Internet. One search could end up costing you hours of time.
If you must search the Internet, set a time limit on your Web adventure. You’d better set an actual time. This can prevent you from staying online for too long. Leave the Internet immediately when you’re reminded to do that.
When you are surfing the Web, you may want to keep reading each linked (链接的) article. A great way to stop this is to save “other” articles and read them later. Use an app to save those articles. This allows you to save important information while preventing you from endlessly reading now.
32.What does the author want to show in paragraph 1?
A.A quick Web search can be helpful.
B.It’s easy for us to waste time online.
C.It takes time to find useful information online.
D.There are many types of information on the Web.
33.What are the software apps mentioned in paragraph 3 used for?
A.Blocking some advertisements online.
B.Blocking some social network websites.
C.Providing us with certain websites for entertainment.
D.Preventing us from getting connected to certain websites.
34.What does the author suggest doing in paragraph 5?
A.Staying away from the Internet. B.Setting a time limit while surfing the Web.
C.Not reading other linked articles online. D.Not staying online for too long.
35.What is a suitable title for the text?
A.Some Ways to Stop Wasting Time Online
B.Some Great Apps to Help Save Time Online
C.Some Games We Can Play Online to Kill Time
D.Some Reasons Why People Waste Time Online
【答案】32.B 33.D 34.B 35.A

根据第三段中“If you need a better way to do that, there are software apps that will let you block certain websites for a certain amount of time. (如果你需要更好的方法,有一些软件应用程序可以让你在一段时间内屏蔽某些网站。)”可知,第三段提到的软件应用程序是用来阻止我们连接到某些网站的。故选D。
34.细节理解题。根据第五段中“If you must search the Internet, set a time limit on your Web adventure. You’d better set an actual time. (如果你必须上网搜索,给你的网络冒险设定一个时间限制。你最好设定一个实际的时间。)”可知,作者在第5段建议上网时设定一个时间限制。故选B。
35.主旨大意题。通读全文,尤其是根据第二段中“And endlessly surfing the Web isn’t going to get your goals done. Nor is it going to magically make you successful. So reduce your endless surfing. But what should you do? (无休止地上网并不能实现你的目标。它也不会神奇地让你成功。所以减少你无休止的上网。但是你应该做什么呢?)”可知,文章主要介绍了如何避免在网上浪费时间的方法。可知,A选项“Some Ways to Stop Wasting Time Online (停止在网上浪费时间的一些方法)”最符合文章标题。故选A。

There was a student named Lily who studied at high school. She had excellent grades and was considered as one of the top students in her school. However, Lily had a rather irritable (易怒的) personality. Because her parents gave her high pressure that she must keep her top place in her school. her mind was only focused on her grades, leaving little room for anything else.
One day, after receiving a lower grade than she expected on an important test. Lily was falling apart. Sad and overwhelmed, she even started considering her failure was due to her parents. She quarreled with her parents and kept them out of her room.
Lily’s parents turned to the school teacher Mr. Thompson for help. They poured out all the bad present situations to him. Mr. Thompson was a professional teacher with a deep understanding of the importance of a balanced lifestyle. He recognized that it was Lily’s too much worry about grades that was having a bad effect on her and the parent-child relationships.
Mr. Thompson advised Lily’s parents to calm down first. And after school, he approached Lily and gently suggested they go for a run together. 【答案】One possible version:
“Believe me, Lily.” Mr. Thompson said, and finally Lily agreed to give it a try. For the next six months, Mr. Thompson and Lily would go for a run every day after school. They started with short distances, gradually increasing the length and intensity of their runs. In the beginning, Lily struggled to keep up, but as time went by, she found herself becoming more and more engaged in this practice with Mr. Thompson. As Lily continued her daily runs, something remarkable started to happen. Lily’s once imitable personality slowly began to disappear, and she apologized to her parents for her former rudeness. Her grades remained consistently high with a changed lifestyle.
Seeing Lily’s change, Mr. Thompson recommended her to give speech to her classmates. In her speech, Lily expressed her gratitude to Mr. Thompson who helped her get rid of stress and build a good relationship with her parents. She explained that academic success was just one aspect of the identity and that physical and mental well-being were equally crucial. She said engaging in sports and exercise not only improved her overall health but also enhanced her ability to handle pressure. Through her own change, she encouraged her classmates to join her for runs, advocating the integration of sports into their lives.
