I can remember my father handing me his own collection. Working for the post office for over twenty years, he had collected many interesting stamps. He inspired me. From that day on, I promised I would add to IT. Now I have so many from all corners of the world, they are all on show today. Although I have stamps from over a hundred countries, most of them come from amErica written and china. Some are very rare and expensive, such as my nineteen sixty nine chinese red stamp collection. Each of those is worth almost two thousand dollars. I also have a few australian stamps from nineteen fifty two worth one thousand dollars each, and the british stamp from nineteen seventy five worth five hundred dollars. I gathered questions from you about stamps when I was still planning the show. The most frequent one is about judging their value. I can't tell exactly, but I have my own method of judging. If you're interested, we can discuss IT later today. I know some of you are looking to buy some stamps today. However, none of my stamps are for sale. Enjoy looking around. After I graduated with a Master's in public relations in 2010,my first boss congratulated
me,but he also brought me right back down to earth pretty quickly when he told me that I'd
have to continue my education in order to progress throughout my career.I remember feeling
shocked at the prospect,as I had sworn (I was done with essays and exams forever.
Yet,here I was, hearing that I'd never truly be fully "educated".I keep his words in mind,
f
and whenever I find myself at a crossroads,I turn to education.
When I decided to do an MBA in 2021,the big questions for me were:Where, and when?
Dublin City University (DCU)stood out as I had benefited from what the university offered
while studying for my degree in multimedia back in 2005.The course also took place on
Thursdays, which allowed me flexibility at weekends. This was essential to balancing the
course with my full-time work and family commitments.
Over the two years of the course,I changed jobs twice, moving into global roles, which
required a whole new degree of performance and commitment at work.I went to two FIFA
World Cups leading social impact campaigns as part of the FIFA Communications team, and I
was pregnant with my first child during my final term. Each of my classmates had their own
unique journeys as well.Life happens anyway.
I think the real question when you're pursuing further education is "why".If your "why"
is strong enough and you truly believe in the benefits, the sacrifices (that come
alongside studying part-time become much easier. Our class gathered together each
Thursday, enjoying the companionship beyond our traditional networking, which is truly a
"money can't buy"bonus of taking the course.I also found myself going into work each week
with new strings added to my bow.I have seen my career progress in ways I couldn't have
imagined.
And as for the advice of my first boss, surely I'm finished with essays and exams by now.

Some new personal computers that run Microsoft's Windows 11 operating system will
have a special Copilot key that launches the software giant's AI chatbot.Getting third-party
computer manufacturers like Dell to add an AI button to laptops is the latest move by
Microsoft to use its close partnership with ChatGPT-maker OpenAI and make itself a gateway
for applications of generative AI technology.
Although most people now connect to the Internet and many AI applications by phone
rather than computer,it's a symbolic kick-off to what's expected to be a competitive year as
tech companies race to outdo each other in AI applications. The keyboard redesign will be
Microsoft's biggest change to PC keyboards since it introduced a special Windows key in the
1990s.Microsoft's four-squared logo design has changed, but the key has been a fixture on
Windows-oriented keyboards for about three decades. The newest AI button will be marked
by the ribbon-like Copilot logo and be located near the space bar.On some computers it will
replace the right "CTRL"key, while on others it will replace a menu key.
Microsoft is not the only company with customized keys.Apple pioneered the concept in
the 1980s with its "Command"key marked by a looped square design.Google has a search
button on its Chromebooks and was first to experiment with an Al-specific key to launch its
voice assistant on its now-discontinued Pixelbook. But Microsoft has a much stronger hold on
the broader PC market through its licensing agreements with third-party manufacturers like
Lenovo,Dell and HP.About 82%of all desktop computers, laptops and workstations run
Windows,compared to 9%for Apple's in-house operating system and just over 6%for
Google's,according to market research firm IDC.
Dell Technologies was the first to fix a Copilot key on its newest XPS laptops.Microsoft

Thank you to everyone who has come here to see my stamp collection today.(17)I have been
collecting stamps since I was a little boy.I can remember my father handing me his own
collection.Working for the post office for over 20 years,he had collected many interesting
stamps. He inspired me.From that day on.I promised I would add to it.(18)Now.I have so
many from all corners of the world. They are all on show today.
Although I have stamps from over a hundred countries, most of them come from
America,Britain, and China. Some are very rare and expensive, such as my 1969 Chinese red
stamp collection. Each of those is worth almost 2,000.I also have a few Australian stamps
from 1952 worth 1.000 each,and a British stamp from 1975 worth 500.(19)
I gathered questions from you about stamps when I was still planning the show. The most
frequent one is about judging their value.I can't tell exactly, but I have my own method of
judging. If you're interested,we can discuss it later today.(20)I know some of you are looking
to buy some stamps today. However, none of my stamps are for sale.Enjoy looking around!
