第二节 写作(共1小题,满分15 分)
How to be a better teenager
Hello, everyone. Today I’d like to share my ideas about how to be a better teenager.
Being a better teenager means taking responsibility and making good choices. First, we should develop healthy living habits like eating healthy food and exercising regularly. Second, focus on our study. It’s important to make a study plan and take action. Learn to manage time wisely to balance schoolwork, hobbies and rest. Third, we should be friendly to others and show kindness to everyone around us. Fourth, we should develop good hobbies, such as reading and taking part in volunteer activities. That teaches us responsibility and care for life and the community.
By doing these, we can grow into a confident and responsible person, and we can become a better teenager.
Thank you!

Summer Solstice, or "Xiazhi" in Chinese, the 10th solar term of the year, usually begins on June 21 or 22. During this term, much of the northern hemisphere(半球)receives the most hours of daylight, but it doesn't bring the highest temperatures which will come only 20 to 30 days later. The following are three things you might not know about Summer Solstice.
The longest day of the year
On the Summer Solstice itself, daylight lasts the longest for the whole year in the northern hemisphere. After this day, daylight hours get shorter and shorter and temperatures become higher in the northern hemisphere. How long is the longest day in China? It's said that on the day of the Summer Solstice, the daylight of Mohe in Heilongjiang Province lasts for about 21 hours. It is the best season for viewing the aurora in Mohe.
A public holiday in ancient times
Summer Solstice was an important festival in ancient China. As early as the Han Dynasty, Summer Solstice was already celebrated. Before the Qing Dynasty, people even had a one-day holiday on the Summer Solstice day. According to the records of the Song Dynasty, officials could have three days off during Summer Solstice. To celebrate Summer Solstice, women gave colored fans and sachets(香囊)to each other. Fans could help them cool down and sachets could drive away mosquitoes(蚊子))and make them smell sweet.
Eating noodles
There is a saying in Shandong Province which goes, "Eat dumplings on the day of Winter Solstice and eat noodles on the day of Summer Solstice." People in different areas of Shandong Province eat cold noodles on this day. Other people around China, including those in Beijing, also have a tradition of eating noodles.
24.What can we know about Summer Solstice from Paragraph 1?
A. It falls on July 21 every year.
B. It is the 11th solar term of the year.
C. Daylight lasts the longest in much of the northern hemisphere.
25. How does the writer develop his idea in Paragraph 3?
A. By listing numbers.
B. By giving examples.
C. By setting questions.
26.What could sachets be used to do during the Song Dynasty?
A. To bring good luck.
B. To help people cool down.
C. To drive away mosquitoes.
27.What's the passage mainly about?
A. Knowledge about Summer Solstice.
B. The background of the 24 solar terms.
C. Traditional customs during Summer Solstice.
C
After a 10-year project to count tuna and other large fish in the world's oceans, scientists have made a very surprising discovery: these fish are almost gone. Because of too much fishing, almost 90 percent of the worldwide population of large fish—the ones we usually eat—has disappeared. If we don’t act, these animals will totally disappear. That will influence every animal in the ocean.
The demand for fish is growing. Almost a billion people around the world get their protein (蛋白质) mostly from fish. Doctors praise seafood for being low in fat. But what seems like a healthy choice for humans is causing a disaster to our oceans. “People are consuming (消费) too much,” says Lance Morgan, a scientist at the Marine Conservation Biology Institute.
A dish of tuna in restaurants costs more than just one animal's life. When fish like tuna disappear from the ecosystem (生态系统), the ocean’s food chain (链) breaks down. Animals such as sharks, which normally eat tuna, may die because they find no food.
The news may be scary, but taking action from now on can prevent harm that hasn’t happened yet. World organizations are ordering countries to stop fishing too much. The Monterey Bay Aquarium gives seafood choices to anyone hoping to keep healthy without destroying the environment.
“If you care about wildlife, first spend time and think about your own values and beliefs,” says Morgan. “Then decide what you’re going to eat.”
28.What does the underlined word “demand” in Paragraph 2 probably mean?
A.希望. B.支持. C.需求.
29.From Paragraph 3, we know that ________.
A.tuna plays an important role in the ecosystem
B.tuna will be more popular in restaurants
C. tuna disappeared because they found no food
30.What’s the purpose of the text?
A.To tell people to stop polluting our oceans.
B.To tell people to protect wildlife in oceans.
C.To tell people to avoid eating too much seafood.
31.What does the last paragraph of the article explain ________.
A.We need to care about wildlife
B.We need to eat wild animals
C.We need to reflect on our own values and beliefs
第二节 (共4小题;每小题2分,满分8分)
Do you like studying at home? Your answer may be “Yes”. Studying at home has its advantages: it has a comfortable environment. However, it can also be difficult. Watching TV, taking a short sleep or spending time on mobile phones are big efficiency (效率) killers that take you away from your goal. Luckily, there are some ways to help you.
Break tasks into smaller steps.
32 If you want to write a passage, you can break it down into smaller parts. A little progress every day makes a big difference.
Try active studying.
Active studying is as simple as asking questions before, during and after study time. 33 For example, what do I already know about this subject? Are there any key words or ideas that I need to write down? And what can I take away from this study period?
34
Every student has his or her daily highs and lows. Some students like to study at night. It provides a quiet environment. Others prefer the morning because it’s easy for them to have clear minds. No matter which one do you like to choose, take advantage of the time in a day and you will feel most productive (富有成效的)。
Have a certain study area.
Whether it’s the kitchen table or the desk in your bedroom, 35 Most importantly, keep your study space clean and tidy. So you can spend more time studying and less time trying to find a pen.
A.Try to break down larger tasks into smaller and more manageable steps.
B.Study at the right time.
C.This gives your study period a right direction.
D.keep your study space quiet.
E.create your own place to study.

A public holiday in ancient times

To celebrate Summer Solstice, women gave colored fans and sachets(香囊)to each other. Fans could help them cool down and sachets could drive away mosquitoes(蚊子))and make them smell sweet.
Eating noodles
There is a saying in Shandong Province which goes, "Eat dumplings on the day of Winter Solstice and eat noodles on the day of Summer Solstice." People in different areas of Shandong Province eat cold noodles on this day. Other people around China, including those in Beijing, also have a tradition of eating noodles.

【答案】 28.C 29.A 30.B 31.C
