But I have a strong passion for modern medicine. W: Oh, it seems that you didn’t follow their advice. M: Actually, my dad persuaded me. A.Dangers of global warming. B.New rules about electric cars. C.Ways to protect the environment. 【答案】18.C 19.A 20.C 【原文】 We stand at a great moment in our history. We have for a long time known of the dangers of global warming, but sadly little action has been taken to respond to it. However, we have listened to our children campaigning all across the world, and we have chosen to listen to them, and make hard choices. We have set a date of 2025 for petrol-based cars to stop production. In addition, our governments will bring in a vehicle exchange system. It will allow drivers to trade in their car for an electric model at no additional cost. We see this as an urgent action that needs to be taken. We cannot put profits ahead of the health of our planet. For too long, the industries that pollute the most have dragged their heels. Well no more! In addition, we will also be banning all plastic bottles by 2030. Unless producers can find a way to make plastic break down, we would suggest a return to glass bottles. They can easily be reused and recycled with no harm to the environment. Plastic has invaded our food supply, and we need to remove it urgently before it destroys our planet’s ecosystem. A Have you ever visited somewhere that felt untouched by time? Here are some magical sites where history comes to life and the past feels present. AI-Karaouine, Morocco Located in the ancient city of Fez, AI-Karaouine is the world’s oldest university. The school has been in operation since it was established in 859. While the curriculum has expanded over the centuries, many traditions are still upheld. AI-Karaouine’s simple yet beautiful design is decorated with calligraphy and Andalusian art, and its library houses a lot of precious ancient religious texts. Kyichu Lakhang, Bhutan Folktale has it that this seventh-century temple was built overnight on the foot of a sleeping demoness (女妖). In the centuries since its construction, Kyichu Lakhang has been expanded, but it still houses many original statues. Kapiti Island, New Zealand Thousands of years ago, birds were New Zealand’s dominant land animals, but many died out after Europeans arrived with other animals, such as cats. On the tiny island of Kapiti, conservationists have gotten rid of other animals, allowing endangered birds like the little spotted kiwi that is extinct on New Zealand’s main islands to survive. 21.When was the oldest university founded in the world? A.In the 7th century. B.In the 9th century. C.In the 12th century. D.In the 14th century. 22.Which place is known for ancient Swahili buildings? A.Lamu Island. B.AI-Karaouine. C.Kyichu Lakhang. D.Kapiti Island. 23.What can visitors do on Kapiti Island? A.Feed cats. B.Hunt foxes. C.Watch birds. The school has been in operation since it was established in 859.(位于古城非斯的AI-Karaouine是世界上最古老的大学。 根据Lamu Island, Kenya部分中的“First settled by humans in 1370, Lamu Island is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Kenya and a great place to see ancient Swahili architecture, which blends influences from East Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East.(Lamu岛于1370年首次有人类定居,是肯尼亚最古老的有人居住的定居点,也是观赏古代斯瓦希里建筑的好地方,这种建筑融合了东非、南亚和中东的影响。)” 故选A。 23. 根据Kapiti Island, New Zealand部分中的“On the tiny island of Kapiti, conservationists have gotten rid of other animals, allowing endangered birds like the little spotted kiwi that is extinct on New Zealand’s main islands to survive.(在这个小岛上,自然资源保护主义者已经清除了其他动物,使得像在新西兰主岛上已经灭绝的小斑点奇异鸟这样的濒危鸟类得以生存。)” C。 B Phil White has just returned from an 18,000-mile, around-the-world bicycle trip. White had two reasons for making this epic journey. First of all, he wanted to use the trip to raise money for charity, which he did. He raised £70,000 for the British charity, Oxfam. White’s second reason for making the trip was to break the world record and become the fastest person to cycle around the world. He is still waiting to find out if he has broken the record or not. White set off from Trafalgar Square, in London, on 19th June 2004 and was back 299 days later. He spent more than l,300 hours in the saddle (车座) and destroyed four sets of tyres and three bike chains. He had the adventure of his life crossing Europe, the Middle East, India, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas. Amazingly, he did all of this with absolutely no support team. No jeep carrying food, water and medicine. No doctor. Nothing! Just a bike and a very, very long road. The journey was lonely and desperate at times. He also had to fight his way across deserts, through jungles and over mountains. He cycled through heavy rains and temperatures of up to 45 degrees, all to help people in need. There were other dangers along the road. In Iran, he was chased by armed robbers and was lucky to escape with his life and the little money he had. The worst thing that happened to him was having to cycle into a headwind on a road that crosses the south of Australia. For l,000 kilometres he battled against the wind that was constantly pushing him. This part of the trip was slow, hard work and depressing, but he made it in the end. Now Mr.White is back and intends to write a book about his adventures. 24.When Phil White returned from his trip, he . A.broke the world record B.collected money for Oxfam C.destroyed several bikes D.travelled about l,300 hours 25.What does the word “epic” in Paragraph l most probably mean? A.Very slow but exciting. B.Very long and difficult. C.Very smooth but tiring. D.Very lonely and depressing. 26.During his journey around the world, Phil White _ . A.fought heroically against robbers in Iran B.experienced the extremes of heat and cold C.managed to ride against the wind in Australia D.had a team of people who travelled with him 27.Which of the following words can best describe Phil White? A.Imaginative. B.Patriotic. C.Modest. D.Determined. 根据第一段中的“First of all, he wanted to use the trip to raise money for charity, which he did. He raised £70,000 for the British charity, Oxfam. 根据第一段中的“Phil White has just returned from an 18,000-mile, around-the-world bicycle trip. 可知,Phil骑自行车环游全世界走了18000公里,所以路途是很长的;根据第三段中的“The journey was lonely and desperate at times. He also had to fight his way across deserts, through jungles and over mountains. He cycled through heavy rains and temperatures of up to 45 degrees, all to help people in need. There were other dangers along the road. 根据第三段中的“The worst thing that happened to him was having to cycle into a headwind on a road that crosses the south of Australia. For l,000 kilometers he battled against the wind that was constantly pushing him. 根据第一段中的“Phil White has just returned from an 18,000-mile, around-the-world bicycle trip. 和第三段中的“The journey was lonely and desperate at times. He also had to fight his way across deserts, through jungles and over mountains. He cycled through heavy rains and temperatures of up to 45 degrees, all to help people in need. There were other dangers along the road. D。 C We often find it hard to tear our eyes away from screens — an urge so intense that it messes with our focus and our cognitive (认知的) health, which is known as “brain rot”. The Oxford Dictionary defines it as the degradation of mental state due to overconsumption of online content. It refers to the dull stuff on social media and its negative impact on brain health. “There’s an arms race to develop digital content and platforms that can grab people’s attention and compete in a digital market,” says Adam Leventhal, a professor at the University of Southern California. “Digital content and platforms that win the arms race are increasingly addictive.” Dr. Leventhal adds, “They pull people into ‘digital addiction’ and expose consumers to unhealthy content.” Though not an official diagnosis (诊断), “brain rot” can cause cognitive and emotional problems. “Too much screen time can negatively affect attention, concentration, learning, memory, emotional regulation, and social functioning,” Dr. Manwell says. “Brain rot” occurs as screen time replaces activities beneficial to the brain, such as exercise and socializing. Passive, rapid scrolling while multitasking or trying to work or study at the same time also contributes, resulting in divided and reduced attentional resources and leading to poorer learning and memory capabilities. Manwell says, “There are often also corresponding effects on the brain such as reduced gray matter and white matter, leading to damaged processing capacity and efficiency.” To fight against “brain rot”, changes can be made. Manwell suggests altering digital media habits, like taking screen breaks and limiting certain apps. There are apps to track screen time and enforce digital detox. For long-term improvement, Manwell recommends replacing screen time with activities like meditation, exercise, and learning new skills. If screen use is work-related, find alternatives like printing materials or having in-person meetings. When on a screen, focus merely on the task to decline multitasking’s negative effects. Overall, being aware and making lifestyle adjustments can help prevent and reverse (逆转) the impact of “brain rot”. 28.According to the text, what do we know about “brain rot”? A.A kind of serious disease officially diagnosed by doctors. B.The loss of cognitive abilities caused by using digital platforms. C.The negative impact of overusing digital devices on physical health. D.The decline of mental well-being due to overconsuming online materials. 29.What can we infer from Adam Leventhal’s words? A.The competition among digital contents and platforms is fierce. B.Digital platforms are developed to help people improve their mental health. C.The digital content that wins the attention competition is usually less addictive. D.The development of digital content and platforms leads to some negative effects. 30.What does the underlined phrase “digital detox” in paragraph 4 mean? A.Using digital devices frequently. B.Taking a break from digital devices. C.Giving up using digital technologies. D.Replacing with advanced digital products. 31.What is the main theme of the text? A.The harms and solutions of “brain rot”. B.The effect of addictive digital platforms. C.The importance of socializing in daily life. D.The impact of “brain rot” on digital device. 根据第一段“We often find it hard to tear our eyes away from screens — an urge so intense that it messes with our focus and our cognitive health, which is known as “brain rot”. The Oxford Dictionary defines it as the degradation of mental state due to overconsumption of online content. It refers to the dull stuff on social media and its negative impact on brain health. 根据第二段中““Digital content and platforms that win the arms race are increasingly addictive.” Dr. Leventhal adds, “They pull people into ‘digital addiction’ and expose consumers to unhealthy content.” 根据第四段中“Manwell suggests altering digital media habits, like taking screen breaks and limiting certain apps. There are apps to track screen time and enforce digital detox. Taking a break from digital devices意思相符。故选B。 31. 通读全文,根据第一段“We often find it hard to tear our eyes away from screens — an urge so intense that it messes with our focus and our cognitive health, which is known as “brain rot”. The Oxford Dictionary defines it as the degradation of mental state due to overconsumption of online content. It refers to the dull stuff on social media and its negative impact on brain health. A。 D “Digital switching” is a term refers to the modern habit of swiping (刷) through and fast-forwarding online videos. Researchers from Canada did some exploration of it. Kay Y.Y.Tam, a psychology researcher, launched the study after noticing herself — and pretty much everyone else — swiping through online videos. This behavior was connected with the “Boredom Feedback Model”, a theory she had published in 2021. Boredom, she proposed, is rooted in attention shifts. These shifts often occur when there’s a gap between how engaged people actually feel and how engaged they want to feel. The unpleasant emotion can develop when a situation lacks novelty or meaning. “As digital switching involves frequent attention shifts, I wondered how this behavior might influence our feelings of boredom,” Tam said. In her study, more than 1,200 participants, many of them university students, first watched a single video for ten minutes. They were then presented with seven shorter videos, with the option to skip to the next. On average, they skipped eight times — but reported feeling more bored and less engaged when they watched the single video. Participants had a similar experience in another similar experiment. “I’m convinced that switching, when it comes to videos, is not a good idea if the goal is to have an enjoyable experience,” said Erin Westgate, a professor of psychology. “Sitting and toughing it out is likely a better choice.” The new findings add to a growing body of evidence that boredom is on the rise, despite a world filled with content we can access at all times. People who are bored often turn to their phones, only to feel more bored. Swiping on social media has also been linked to increased feelings of boredom. Boredom can motivate people to explore their environment and to stop investing time in an activity that has little to offer. However, if we rely too much on quick escapes, it would be like an animal jumping from tree to tree in search of food without staying long enough to see if a tree bears fruit. That animal risks starvation. 32.What is the cause of attention shifts according to Tam’s theory? A.The feeling of boredom. B.The unsatisfied desire. C.The degree of engagement. D.The lack of emotion. 33.What does Tam’s study of “digital switching” focus on? A.Its reason. B.Its consequence. C.The theory behind it. D.The solution to it. 34.What is the main purpose of the last paragraph? A.To solve a problem. B.To make a suggestion. C.To raise a question. D.To give a warning. 35.Which of the following is a suitable title for the text? A.Digital Switching: the End of Endless Boredom B.Digital Switching: the Result of Endless Boredom C.Digital Switching: the Trap of Endless Boredom D.Digital Switching: the Root of Endless Boredom 【答案】32.B 33.B 34.D 35.C 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 根据第二段“Boredom, she proposed, is rooted in attention shifts. These shifts often occur when there’s a gap between how engaged people actually feel and how engaged they want to feel. The unpleasant emotion can develop when a situation lacks novelty or meaning.(她提出,无聊的根源在于注意力的转移。 根据第三段““As digital switching involves frequent attention shifts, I wondered how this behavior might influence our feelings of boredom,” Tam said.(“由于数字切换涉及到频繁的注意力转移,我想知道这种行为会如何影响我们的无聊感,”Tam说)”可知,Tam对“数字转移”的研究重点是最终导致的结果。故选B。 34. 根据最后一段“Boredom can motivate people to explore their environment and to stop investing time in an activity that has little to offer. However, if we rely too much on quick escapes, it would be like an animal jumping from tree to tree in search of food without staying long enough to see if a tree bears fruit. 根据第一段““Digital switching” is a term refers to the modern habit of swiping (刷) through and fast-forwarding online videos. Researchers from Canada did some exploration of it.(“数字转换”是一个术语,指的是在网络视频中快速切换的现代习惯。 If only the childhood chant “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” were true! Anyone who’s been the target of unkind words will know that the wounds can be deep, painful, and long-lasting. When this also involves deliberately freezing out one person from a friendship group, it’s known as social isolation or exclusion. If you’ve been feeling left out, here’s how to handle the situation(这通常被称为关系攻击,让某人觉得好像没有人喜欢他们。 37.根据上文“Standing up to bullying can be scary, especially in public.(勇敢地面对欺凌可能会让人感到害怕,尤其是在公共场合)”以及后文“Ask them if you’ve done anything to offend them and explain how their behaviour makes you feel.(问他们你是否做了什么冒犯他们的事,并解释他们的行为让你感觉如何)”可知,前文说公开对抗霸凌很可怕,后文建议“私下询问对方是否被冒犯”。 38.根据本段内容“If the thought of addressing the bullies yourself is too scary, consider confiding (吐露秘密) in a trusted adult. Teachers and school counsellors will have experience dealing with social exclusion. Sharing a series of examples will help them understand that this is a deliberate pattern of targeted behaviour, rather than simply a case of friends falling out or drifting apart.(如果你觉得自己去对付那些欺负你的人太可怕,可以考虑找一个值得信任的成年人倾诉。 39.根据上文“Put yourself first and know your worth. If friends repeatedly leave you out, it might be time to turn the tables and walk away from them. There will be other people at school who would like to spend time with you.(把自己放在第一位,了解自己的价值。 40.根据上文“All in all, there are always ways to shut it down if you’ re being shut out. Also, it’s worth remembering that it won’t last forever. School is just one of many periods in your life and doesn’t define you.(总而言之,如果你被拒之门外,总有办法破局。 One chilly Christmas Eve, Jordan Huffman, a highway maintenance worker, spotted a trash bag on the U. People can purchase almost everything they need with just a few clicks of a mouse. This convenience has led to a significant change in the way people shop, 56 (reduce) the need to visit physical stores. However, online shopping also has its drawbacks. One of the biggest concerns is the quality of products. Since consumers can't see or touch the items 57 (direct), they may receive something different from what they expected. Another problem is security. Personal information 58 (provide) during online transactions may be at risk, 59 makes many people worry about online shopping. To solve these problems, some online platforms have introduced stricter quality control measures. They work closely with sellers to ensure that the products meet certain standards. 60 addition, they use advanced encryption (加密) technology to protect customers' personal information. 61 (hope), these efforts will make online shopping safer and more reliable. Moreover, online shopping has also given rise to a new type of job. People called "personal shoppers" help customers find the best deals and choose the most suitable products. These personal shoppers need to have a good understanding of different products and 62 (be) familiar with various online platforms. They play 63 important role in making the online shopping experience better for customers. As technology continues to develop, 64 is likely that online shopping will keep evolving. It may bring even more convenience and 65 (innovate), but it also requires us to be more cautious to avoid potential risks. 56. reducing 57. directly 58. provided 59. which 60. In 61. Hopefully 62. be 63. an 64. it 65. innovation 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。 此处 which 引导非限制性定语从句,指代前面整个句子 “Personal information provided during online transactions may be at risk”,在从句中作主语,故填 which。 60. and 连接两个并列的成分,前面是 “have a good understanding of different products”,所以此处应用动词原形 be,与 have 保持一致,故填 be。 63. play an important role in 是固定短语,意为 “在…… It is likely that... Dear Tom, I’m thrilled to hear you’re joining the Chinese Recitation Competition! Emma stood at the corner of a bustling street, holding a heavy suitcase in her hands. She had dreamed of this moment-starting fresh, building a new life — but now, surrounded by strangers and endless concrete, she felt small and utterly alone. Her first week was a blur of missteps. The job she had lined up fell through when the company decided to hire someone with more experience. Her savings were decreasing faster than she had expected, and the rent was due in a week. Everywhere she turned, it felt like the city was pushing her away, as if it didn’t have room for one more dreamer. One rainy evening, when Emma boarded the train from another unsuccessful job interview, she noticed an elderly man sitting across from her. He was dressed in a worn but neatly pressed suit, and his hands rested on a leather briefcase that looked as old as he was. What caught Emma’s attention, however, was the book he was reading — The Great Gatsby, her favorite novel. Emma hesitated for a moment before striking up a conversation. “That’s a wonderful book,” she said, smiling. The man looked up, his eyes bright with surprise and curiosity. “You’ve read it?” he asked, his voice warm but tinged with a hint of nostalgia. As they began to talk, he put the book into his briefcase and introduced himself as Mr. Bennett, and he had been a literature professor before retiring. He spoke of his travels, his students, and the books that had shaped his life. And Emma also shared her hopeless situation. Listening attentively for a while, Mr Bennett pulled out a pen and a cream-colored card with his wrinkled hands, and quickly wrote something down. As the train approached Emma’s stop, Mr. Bennett reached into his briefcase. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ That evening, as Emma opened the book, a cream-colored card dropped out of it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】As the train approached Emma’s stop, Mr.Bennett reached into his briefcase. He pulled out the book The Great Gatsby he had been reading, and handed it to Emma with a warm smile. “It has been a companion to me through many years, and I hope it will be to you as well,” said Mr. Bennett.Emma was taken aback by the unexpected gesture, feeling a wave of gratitude washing over her. She accepted the book, promising to read it with the same care and attention that Mr.Bennett had shown her. That evening, as Emma opened the book, a cream-colored card dropped out of it. She picked it up and read the elegant script: “To Emma, may your journey in the city be as enlightening as the stories you read. Keep dreaming and never lose sight of what truly matters. Sincerely, Mr.Bennett.” The card was a testament to the kindness of strangers and the unexpected connections one can make in a bustling city. Emma felt a renewed sense of hope and determination, inspired by the generosity of a man she had only just met. 3.词汇激活 行为类 ①拿出:pull out/take out ②递给:hand/pass ③鼓舞:inspire/motivate ④遇到:meet/encounter 情绪类 ①感激:gratitude/appreciation ②决心:determination/resolution 【点睛】[高分句型1] He pulled out the book The Great Gatsby he had been reading, and handed it to Emma with a warm smile.(运用了省略关系代词 that 的定语从句,先行词为 the book The Great Gatsby,关系代词在从句中作宾语,被省略) [高分句型2] The card was a testament to the kindness of strangers and the unexpected connections one can make in a bustling city.(运用了省略关系代词 that 的定语从句,先行词为 the unexpected connections,关系代词在从句中作宾语,被省略) 24 / 24 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$ 2025年高考押题预测卷 英语·参考答案 第一部分 听力(共两节,满分30分) 1.B. 2.B 3.C 4.B 5.C 6.C 7.C 8.A 9.C 10.B 11.B 12.B 13.A 14.A 15.C 16.B 17.B 18.C 19.A 20.C 第二部分 阅读 (共两节,满分50分) 第一节 21.B 22.A 23.C 24.B 25.B 26.C 27.D 28.D 29.D 30.B 31.A 32.B 33.B 34.D 35.C 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 36.D 37.G 38.A 39.C 40.F 第三部分 语言知识运用 (共两节,满分30分) 第1节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 41.A 42.B 43.A 44.D 45.D 46.C 47.C 48.D 49.B 50.B 51.C 52.A 53.B 54.D 55.A 第二节 (共10小题;每小题1.5分,满分15分) 56. reducing 57. directly 58. provided 59. which 60. Emma felt a renewed sense of hope and determination, inspired by the generosity of a man she had only just met. 5. 正确填涂■ 选择题 (请用2B铅笔填涂) IAIIBIIC 67 111A11B1C 16 1 3 8 B IAIIBIIC 1 10 20 21 D 26 B B D 36 A B I D F IG 2 B 因 D 78390 213145 C B E F G D D F 量 41 A B C D A B 51 C D 56 D B B D 打锅物销 see 锅9 << D B D B A 非选择题 (请在各试题的答题区内作答) 苏 第三部分 语言知识运用(共两节, 满分45分) 第二节(共10小题: 每小题1.5分,满分15分) 61. 62. 63. 64 65. 66. 67. 68 69 70. 封 Warm regards, Li Ming 一线 第二节(满分25分) Paragraph 1: As the train approached Emma's stop,Mr.Bennett reached into his briefcase. The temple’s small rooms provide a peaceful space for reflection among fruit trees and prayer wheels. Lamu Island, Kenya First settled by humans in 1370, Lamu Island is the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in Kenya and a great place to see ancient Swahili architecture, which blends influences from East Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. The island’s unique, timeless way of life includes a reliance on the large local population of donkeys, which are used for traveling the island’s narrow streets and for an annual race along the beach. D.Ride donkeys. B Phil White has just returned from an 18,000-mile, around-the-world bicycle trip. C We often find it hard to tear our eyes away from screens — an urge so intense that it messes with our focus and our cognitive (认知的) health, which is known as “brain rot”. D “Digital switching” is a term refers to the modern habit of swiping (刷) through and fast-forwarding online videos. A.Digital Switching: the End of Endless Boredom B.Digital Switching: the Result of Endless Boredom C.Digital Switching: the Trap of Endless Boredom D.Digital Switching: the Root of Endless Boredom If only the childhood chant “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” were true! Anyone who’s been the target of unkind words will know that the wounds can be deep, painful, and long-lasting. The saying highlights two forms of bullying — physical and verbal. 36 It’s often referred to as relational aggression, making someone feel as if no one likes them. When this also involves deliberately freezing out one person from a friendship group, it’s known as social isolation or exclusion. If you’ve been feeling left out, here’s how to handle the situation: Speak out Standing up to bullying can be scary, especially in public. 37 Ask them if you’ve done anything to offend them and explain how their behaviour makes you feel. 38 If the thought of addressing the bullies yourself is too scary, consider confiding (吐露秘密) in a trusted adult. Teachers and school counsellors will have experience dealing with social exclusion. Sharing a series of examples will help them understand that this is a deliberate pattern of targeted behaviour, rather than simply a case of friends falling out or drifting apart. Draw a line Put yourself first and know your worth. If friends repeatedly leave you out, it might be time to turn the tables and walk away from them. There will be other people at school who would like to spend time with you. 39 All in all, there are always ways to shut it down if you’ re being shut out. Also, it’s worth remembering that it won’t last forever. School is just one of many periods in your life and doesn’t define you. 40 So make room to let the right ones in. A.Seek support. B.Stand together. C.Give them a chance to become your friends instead. D.But there’s another type that makes people feel just as bad. E.Excluding people or freezing them out is never an OK thing to do. F.Throughout the life you’ll meet lots of people and most won’t leave you out. G.So, if you feel able to stay calm, you could approach the people behind it privately. One chilly Christmas Eve, Jordan Huffman, a highway maintenance worker, spotted a trash bag on the U. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 第二节(满分25分) 67. The city was vast and unfamiliar, its towering buildings casting long shadows that seemed to swallow her whole. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第11页(共12页) 试题 第12页(共12页) 试题 第5页(共12页) 试题 第6页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$2025年高考押题预测卷01(新高考I卷) 英语·答题卡 姓 名: 缺考 标记 准考证号: 条 码 粘 贴 处 _ 注意事项 耿 & 1. We have for a long time none of the dangers of global warming, but sadly, little action has been taken to respond to IT. However, we have listen to our children campaigning all across the world, and we have chosen to listen to them and make hard choices. We have set a date of twenty twenty five for petrol based cars to stop production. In addition, our governments will bring in a vehicle exchange system. IT will allow drivers to trade in their car for an electric model at no additional cost. We see this as an urgent action that needs to be taken. We cannot put profits ahead of the health of our planet for too long. The industries that pollute the most have dragged their heals well. No more. In addition, we will also be banning all plastic bottles by twenty thirty. Unless producers can find a way to make plastic breakdown, we would suggest a return to glass bottles. They can easily be reused and recycled with no harm to the environment. Plastic has invaded our food supply, and we need to remove IT urgently before IT destroys our planet's ecosystem. D.Ride donkeys. B Phil White has just returned from an 18,000-mile, around-the-world bicycle trip. C We often find it hard to tear our eyes away from screens — an urge so intense that it messes with our focus and our cognitive (认知的) health, which is known as “brain rot”. D “Digital switching” is a term refers to the modern habit of swiping (刷) through and fast-forwarding online videos. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 24 / 24 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
