It plays a very important part in the field of engineering. 分析:句中画线词是个生僻词,is后面的内容 是对该词的解释——一种提供新鲜空气的系统或 工具。所以不难猜出ventilation的意思,它在此表 示“通风设备”。 2.同位关系:常见的表示同位关系的方式有 同位语从句或者用标点符号(包括破折号、逗号、 冒号或括号等)隔开。如上述典例2通过破折号 解释说明前面的短语。再如: As a matter of fact,only about 80 ocelots,an endangered wild cat,exist in the U. S. A. today. 分析:an endangered wild cat是画线词ocelots 的同位语,解释了它的意思,即一种濒危野猫。 3.举例:作者在解释比较难以理解的内容的 时候,往往会举例阐述,这也能帮助我们准确把握 文章内容,进而猜测词义。 4.定语从句:定语从句通过对前面的名词进 行修饰限定,让我们大致明白这个名词的含义。 请同学们认真完成考案(三                                                            ) !()
