第1节 阅读理解(共15小题,每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下面短文,掌握大意,然后从各题所给的A、B、C、D项中,选出最佳选项。
A
I was lost and alone in a huge and crowded park. Just then, a man walked by and looked at me. “Little one, are you lost?” he asked. I just wagged my tail, not able to answer. Then he took me to his nice and comfortable home.
At his house, his wife asked, “John, where did this dog come from?” the man replied, “I found him in the park nearby. He seemed to need a place to stay.” John’s wife prepared a soft mat for me that night. I was really happy lying there. Every morning, I would walk with John to the park. I barked, “John, I’ll be right here waiting for you.” He smiled and said, “Good boy, Eric.”
Everything was fine until a terrible felling struck me on a freezing cold morning. I barked more loudly than ever, trying to make John stay. I said, “John, don’t go today.” But he didn’t get it and left as usual.
That day, John didn’t return. I waited and waited. People tried to take me away, saying, “Eric, your master is gone. Come with us.” I refused, “No, I have to wait for him.” I couldn’t believe he wouldn’t come back.
Days passed, weeks passed, and years went by. I got old. My once shiny fur became dull and matted, and my steps were slow and unsteady. I had seen countless seasons change in the park, from the blooming flowers of spring to the snow-covered ground in winter.
One spring day, as I was lying in the grass at the park where I always waited, a familiar figure showed up. I managed to lift my head. It was a man who looked a lot like John. He walked towards me, with his eyes full of love.
He knelt down (蹲下) beside me and said, “Eric, it’s been such a long time. I’m sorry I left you. I had an accident and lost my memory. It took me years to recover and find my way back to you.” I was so surprised. I weakly wagged my tail and let out a little sound.
He gently picked me up and held me close. As we left the park, I could feel my strength went away little by little with each step. My eyesight was getting poor, but I held tightly to the warm hug of John’s arms. I knew these were my last moments, yet I had no regrets. All the years of waiting had led to this reunion that was both happy and sad.
26.What was John’s wife’s attitude towards Eric?
A.She was not sure of getting on well with Eric.
B.She was curious about Eric’s hobby.
C.She accepted and was kind to Eric.
D.She hated and was jealous of Eric.
27.What can we probably know about the man who looked like John in the end?
A.He was John exactly who finally remembered the dog and came back.
B.He was not John but a kind person who felt pity for the old dog.
C.He was a friend of John’s that came to take the dog away.
D.He was a stranger with the same appearance as John.
28.Which of the following best describes Eric?
A.Brave and strong-willed. B.Helpful and cheerful.
C.Kind and humorous. D.Loving and patient.
29.What can we infer from the last paragraph?

29.推理判断题。根据“My eyesight was getting poor, but I held tightly to the warm hug of John’s arms. I k new these were my last moments, yet I had no regrets.”可知,Eric在重逢后无憾离世,说明它认为等待是值得的。故选A。
B
Students in Denmark take national tests on a computer at different times. About 4 years’ test results, researchers found something interesting. Students who took the test in the morning scored higher than those who took it in the afternoon.
So what happens? We might have noticed that in the afternoon we become less productive (有效率) and the work we do is of lower quality. A lot of people around the world experience the same thing every day. That’s called the afternoon slump (低迷) .
Why does this happen? Our bodies are controlled by our circadian rhythm (昼夜规律) which is like a clock. It tells our bodies when to go to sleep and wake up. Our energy levels change with the circadian rhythm.
We are smarter and more energetic during some parts of the day, while during others, we are less energetic. For example, during the night we experience a large drop in energy, especially between 2 a. m. to 4 a. m. . However, our energy slowly rises after waking up until it reaches a peak (峰值) in the late morning. But that peak is then followed by an afternoon low, which we call the afternoon slump. The low appears about seven hours after waking up, which is usually between 1 p. m. to 4 p. m. for most people. This is the time when people make more mistakes during the daytime. When the afternoon slump is over, it rises again. But as our body gets ready for sleep, it slowly drops.
The afternoon slump is natural, but there are some ways to regain (恢复) energy. Stretching (拉伸) for even 20 seconds, taking a break for about 15 minutes, eating a bar of black chocolate and so on can have a huge influence on your energy levels. Hopefully, you have a better idea about the afternoon slump and what we can do about it.
30.How does the writer support his idea in the third paragraph?
A.By comparing the fact. B.By explaining the reason.
C.By giving an example. D.By listing some numbers.
31.What can we know about the “afternoon slump”?
A.It only happens to students in Denmark. B.It makes students score higher in tests.
C.It is caused by natural body rhythms. D.It’s a sign of serious health problems.
32.Which picture shows the change of the energy level with the time?
A. B.
C. D.
33.What can we infer according to the passage?
A.It can be completely avoided by getting enough sleep.
B.Our energy levels are the highest in the late morning.
C.The afternoon slump is a problem that only students face.
D.Simple actions like eating snacks may help get energy back.
根据“Why does this happen? Our bodies are controlled by our circadian rhythm (昼夜规律) which is like a clock. It tells our bodies when to go to sleep and wake up. Our energy levels change with the circadian rhythm.”以及第四段的描述可知,下午低迷现象是由我们身体的自然昼夜规律引起的。故选C。
32.推理判断题。根据“For example, during the night we experience a large drop in energy, especially between 2 a. m. to 4 a. m. But as our body gets ready for sleep, it slowly drops.”
根据“The afternoon slump is natural, but there are some ways to regain (恢复) energy. Stretching (拉伸) for even 20 seconds, taking a break for about 15 minutes, eating a bar of black chocolate and so on can have a huge influence on your energy levels.”可知,像拉伸、休息、吃黑巧克力等简单的行为可能会对能量水平有很大影响,帮助恢复能量,吃黑巧克力属于吃零食的一种,所以简单的行为如吃零食可能有助于恢复能量。故选D。
C
From social relationships to work challenges, Chinese people are turning to DeepSeek to deal with different personal matters. They describe sharing their thoughts and receiving helpful responses (回应) from the popular chatbot. As a rising trend on social media, AI therapy (疗法) is changing the way people look for mental health support. But can AI really replace a human therapist (治疗学家)?
Around the world, 45 percent of people who needed mental health care in 2024 did not receive it, with problems including cost and being short of providers, according to Huntington Psychological (心理) Services. Daniel Lowd, a professor at the University of Oregon, believes AI could help solve the absence of therapy services. “If people can find some support and thoughts by talking to Chatbots, then I think that’s wonderful,” Lowd told Newsweek.
Li Yong, a doctor at the Jiangsu Province Hospital, agreed with Lowd, saying that AI meets people’s needs for emotional support. By using basic knowledge of psychotherapy, DeepSeek can help with some mental problems through comforting responses. However, he points out that AI cannot completely replace experts because the human touch is important for therapeutic services. Therapists develop a deeper understanding of people’s emotions and needs through communication, which allows them to offer more helpful treatment plans.
The use of AI in psychotherapy also has made people question if its answers can be trusted. “AI chatbots will respond as therapists if asked, without any of the management, training or responsibility of a human counselor (顾问),” Richard Lachman, a professor told Newsweek.
Experts believe the key to AI therapy lies in proper government management. Wysa, for example, is a mental health app that offers therapeutic conversations with an AI chatbot. In 2022, it worked with the UK’s National Health Service, following a list of strict standards. As AI becomes more a part of our lives, understanding its influence on human psychology means finding a balance between what’s helpful and what’s dangerous, Euronews reported.
34.How does the writer develop the first paragraph?
A.By giving an example. B.By telling a story.
C.By comparing two facts. D.By imagining a scene.
35.How can AI help in mental health care according to Daniel Lowd?
A.By offering more medical costs. B.By solving the absence of therapy services.
C.By training professional teachers. D.By replacing all human therapists.
36.Why does Li Yong believe AI cannot fully replace human therapists?
A.Because AI chatbots are short of basic knowledge of psychotherapy.
B.Because AI chatbots cannot provide comforting responses.
C.Because Human therapists better understand emotions and needs.
D.Because Human therapispts can follow strict government rules well.
37.What is the main idea of the last paragraph?
A.The importance of the management for AI therapy.
B.The influence of AI chatbots in human psychology.
C.The introduction to a popular mental health app.
D.The differences between AI and human therapists.
【答案】34.A 35.B 36.C 37.A

35% of students consider that it's convenient for them to order food online anytime, anywhere. Meanwhile, 30% of students appreciate various choices for food, which can meet different people’s needs.
However, 25% of students worry about the pollution caused by increasing amount of plastic packaging. Moreover, 10% of students point out delivery food is usually high in fat or sugar and this may cause health problems.
As for me, I'm not a fan of it. I would rather cook for myself though it takes time. We are what we eat. Therefore, we should make every effort to eat in a healthier way.
