Have you tried to fix broken furniture or clothes? Well, it’s difficult. What’s more, there are fewer repair shops. But thanks to an online platform (平台) —the Guilder, repairing things is much easier in the Netherlands.
To get a repair service (服务) on the Guilder, first you need to make an application, take pictures of your broken item and upload (上传) them. The platform then matches the item with people having the ability to fix it in the same community. You don’t need to pay for the service. Instead, you offer other help in exchange. For example, Mr Lee helps you repair your chair and you help him fix his shoes. Then both of you complete the repair exchange on the Guilder.
The Guilder is becoming popular in many communities. Since it appeared (出现), many broken things have been“new” again. With the help of the Guilder, people not only get their old and broken things repaired, but also are able to know more about their neighbours.
The Guilder makes it easy for people to repair things in daily life. This is exactly what Ollee, the Guilder’s designer, wants to see. “People used to fix things. This is a great skill, but now many of us are losing it. When something is broken or just old, we’ll buy a new one instead of repairing it. It causes a lot of waste and is not good for the environment.” said Ollee. “I started the Guilder as a way to fight against waste. I’m glad that the platform makes people start to repair things in their daily lives. I hope, with the Guilder, repairing things can become a popular lifestyle again!”
24. What is the Guilder?
A. The name of a website. B. A repair shop.
C. A community club. D. An international chat app.
25. What is Paragraph 2 mainly about?
A. What people think of the Guilder.
B How people get a repair service on the Guilder.
C. How much people should pay for the repair service.
D. Why people choose to get their things repaired on the Guilder.
26. Why does the writer write this passage?
A. To ask people to stop buying new things.
B. To invite people to take trips to the Netherlands.
C. To introduce a platform offering repair services.
D. To show people the importance of protecting the environment.
27. In which part of a magazine may you read the passage?
A. Nature. B. Health. C. Travel. D. Lifestyle.

That night, Tebelis had some strange dreams. He dreamed that he was lost in a sea of grain (谷物), he dreamed about water. In his dream, he was sitting beside a river. He reached down, and he felt the cool stream of water pressing against his hand...
Tebelis suddenly opened his eyes. This was it, the answer to his impossible task!
“I can use water to mill (碾碎) the grain,” he said to himself. “I can make a watermill (水磨)!”
The laziest boy in Greece worked through the night, thinking about his plan.
The next morning, Tebelis joined his father at the kitchen table and described his idea in detail.
“My son,” Agathon said, “I am happy that you care about our problem. Still, I do not believe that water will turn a heavy wheel (轮子). If we have any hope of milling Alexander’s grain, we must work very hard today.”
“We could never mill all that grain by ourselves,” Tebelis replied. “Think of how tired we were last night! I’m sure my idea will work. I think the stream behind our house is the perfect place to build my watermill.” At last, Agathon agreed.
Later that morning, Tebelis cut down a small tree. Next; he cut the wood into boards of different sizes, both short and long. Finally, he used the boards to build a large wheel.
The following day, Tebelis made a hole in the ground beside the stream. He put a pole (杆子) in the hole, and another in the water. He placed a long board between the poles. Lastly, with Agathon’s help, he placed the wheel on one end of the long board.
Together, father and son watched as the rapid water began turning the wheel.
They weren’t finished yet. Agathon and Tebelis moved the flat stone and the heavy millstone to the stream. They fixed the millstone to the water wheel. Finally, they stepped back, and they watched and waited...
Nothing was happening! Tebelis’s heart began to race.
Then slowly, ever so slowly, the millstone began to turn. It turned faster, faster, faster. It was working!
“We did it!” Tebelis shouted.

阅读表达 (阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题,每题答案不超过4个字。)
Guide dogs are the “eyes” of blind people. But how can they be so helpful? The answer is simple. Guide dogs practice to be helpful. As part of training, guide dogs practice getting to the places their owners will need to go. But before this, guide dogs must receive training in many other areas. This is because guiding a person safely is more important than just knowing where to go.
Suppose a tree branch (树枝) is lying on the road in front of a blind person and his guide dog. Since the person can’t see the branch, it’s up to the dog to let him know it is there. If the branch is small, the dog may guide its owner around it. If it is large, the dog will stop the person. Then he knows there is something in the way. He will work with his dog to find a way past the branch.
Many people think a guide dog tells its owner when they can cross the road. This is not true. Instead, the dog usually stops its owner when they have reached the end of a road. Then the blind person listens to their situation and considers if it is safe to cross the road. A blind person and his dog always work as a team.

To get a repair service (服务) on the Guilder, first you need to make an application, take pictures of your broken item and upload (上传) them. The platform then matches the item with people having the ability to fix it in the same community. You don’t need to pay for the service. Instead, you offer other help in exchange. It causes a lot of waste and is not good for the environment.” said Ollee. “I started the Guilder as a way to fight against waste.

【详解】根据中英文提示可知,此处使用go to...to visit表示“去某地看望某人”;have gone to Nanjing表示“去了南京”;his grandparents“他的祖父母”。句子为现在完成时,主语是第三人称单数,助动词用has。故填has gone to Nanjing to visit his grandparents。

【答案】How many books can I borrow at a time?
How many books can I borrow at a time?

【答案】One possible version
My most unforgettable trip
Last summer, I traveled to Beijing with my parents, which was the most meaningful trip I’ve ever had.
We visited the Great Wall and the Palace Museum. Climbing the Great Wall was challenging, but the breathtaking view from the top made it all worthwhile. The best part was flying a kite shaped like a dragon on the Wall while listening to stories about ancient China. I felt extremely proud of our rich history and culture. This trip not only taught me about China’s past but also helped me cherish the time spent with my family.
It was truly unforgettable!
