专题06 读后续写10篇
1.(23-24高二下·广东广州·期中)阅读下面短文,根据所给情节进行续写,使之构成一篇完整的故事。
Looking back at my life, I found that the most important event occurred when I was in 4th grade.
From the beginning of the semester, I started learning dancing every Saturday, but I didn’t do well in the first few months. Mrs. Smith, my dancing teacher, also my music teacher in my school, kept teaching me and helped me with every movement. But it always enhanced too slowly. I began to give up and canceled this class. A few days later, we had a music class at school. We sang songs while Mrs. Smith was playing piano. The beautiful melody suffused the whole classroom. Everyone was very earnest, looking up the teacher and following the rhythm. Although I was not good at sharing, I was singing really hard. All the things in this classroom seemed very harmonious.
We had a free class after singing. We just sat on our chairs and talked to each other. And Mrs. Smith started to talk about the school choir that she led very well.
I’ve seen some members before, who are excellent and graceful. I was imagining if one day I join in the school choir that will be really awesome: we have competitions every month; we do great performance every time; we get popular in our school. Those were just my imagination. I don’t think one day I can be one of the dancers. Just then, Mrs. Smith said my name in the class, “Angelina was in my dancing class. She was really hard-working and tough. I hope she could rejoin in my class and practice more to be a member of the school choir.”
Everyone turned back and looked at me with amazed faces. I turned tomato red. Mrs. Smith was pleased to laugh. We had a really silent moment. And then the bell rang, the students began to leave. There’s a girl walking up to me with some of her friends. Her name is Carrie, who is a piano player and also recommended to join the school choir. She faced me, and said to her friends: “Do you think she can really join the school choir? It’s unbelievable!” Her friends threw her a faint smile. I didn’t even react for this brief moment, and they left.

【答案】Paragraph 1:
Within the time, I felt that there’s a strong force striking my pride. Carrie’s words echoed in my mind, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling of doubt she had planted. However, instead of letting it discourage me, I decided to use it as motivation. I started practicing even harder, dedicating extra hours to perfecting my dance moves and vocal skills. Mrs. Smith noticed my determination and offered to give me private lessons after school.
Paragraph 2:
Finally, because of my perseverance and efforts, I joined the school choir. The day I received the acceptance letter, I felt a surge of pride and accomplishment. Carrie and her friends were surprised, but they couldn’t deny the improvement I had made. Performing with the choir was an unforgettable experience, and it taught me the value of hard work and believing in oneself. Mrs. Smith’s encouragement and my relentless practice had paid off, and I realized that I could achieve anything I set my mind to.

“Now, parents and students separate into two groups. You will be reunited at the end of the campus tour.”
Groups of incoming freshman happily left their parents upon hearing this announcement. I was less than thrilled about starting college, let alone leaving my mother’s side to tour the campus with other freshmen; I felt a little anxious. We followed the senior tour guide. The other freshmen chatted and made causal introductions as I dragged behind. How could I have believed I was ready for this? After all, it had only been a few months since I left the hospital. I was feeling better for the first time in years. But college...?
My thinking was interrupted by a sweet female voice, “Hi, I’m Jennifer.” “I’m Lauren,” I replied. “Where do you prefer to live? At home or on campus?” she said. Before I could reply, the tour guide announced it was time to create our schedules and select the courses we wanted to take.
We crowded into the Student Activity Center. Three seniors handed out thick course bulletins (课程公告) and forms that needed to be filled out. All around me, the sounds of turning papers and writing sounded like those given by an alarm clock. Others seemed to be moving through the process quickly but I hadn’t even opened my course catalog (目录).
“Focus,” I told myself. “just read through the catalog and find the course you like and a schedule that works” psychology A or B, Geology 101, English, history, sections 1, 2, 3…The list went on and on.
I panicked and almost started to cry. How was I supposed to know how to complete it? I was just relearning how to live in the real world, and they wanted me to make a schedule. How I wished someone could help me.
Soon, other freshmen were handing in their forms.

【答案】One possible version:
Soon, other freshmen were handing in their forms. Many of them rushed out to meet their parents. I couldn’t breathe and was feeling anxious. My head was pounding. Moments later, I was crying. And several students stared at me. One of the seniors in charge walked over my table. “What’s the matter?” she asked impatiently. “I... I can’t do this!” I said. “All you have to do is make your schedule, just like everybody else,” she said, clearly annoyed.
Then, I felt a warm hand on my shoulder. I looked back and found Jennifer standing behind me. “Everything is alright,” she told the senior. “I’ll help her.” The senior walked away. “What’s wrong, sweetie?” Jennifer asked. Hearing Jennifer’s kind words, I cried even harder, saying, “It’s just too much!” Then Jennifer put her arm around me and said, “Let me instruct you.” She then guided me through the process step by step until I completely my schedule. Later when saying goodbye, we made a promise to keep in touch.

Pansy Takes a Trip
Very excited, Anika hugged her favorite doll tight as she followed her parents through the airport. It was going to be her first time on an airplane. When she walked down the narrow aisle (走廊、过道) of the plane to find her seat, a tall flight attendant (服务人员) smiled at her and asked where they were going. “Walt Disney World,” Anika said with a smile, “We’ll be there for a week.”
“Have a wonderful trip,” replied the flight attendant, pointing to her name tag (名签), “I’m Leanne. You let me know if you and your pretty doll friend need anything.”
“Thanks. I’m Anika, and this is Pansy,” said Anika, holding the doll up to show her, “Do you fly to Disney World every day?”
Leanne shook her head. “I get to fly all over the world. It can be fun to explore new places.”
The flight was going to be a few hours. Anika read a book with Pansy and did some puzzles her mother had packed for the trip. Soon she was getting a little tired and asked Leanne for a pillow (枕头). The flight attendant returned with a pillow, a blanket, and a sleep mask to cover her eyes. Anika tucked Pansy under the blanket with her and fell asleep quickly. In no time, it seemed, she was being woken up again because it was time to land. They had arrived!
“Already?” yawned (打哈欠) Anika. She wasn’t quite awake yet. Her parents were busily packing up their bags and jackets, ready to leave the plane. Leanne walked past them, collecting the pillows and blankets from passengers as she went.
“Now you will have lots of energy to enjoy your visit to Disney World!” She smiled to Anika. “I will see you next week on your return flight home.”
Anika was delighted to be in the new city. When her family got to the hotel, she couldn’t wait to bring Pansy along to see all the amazing sights with her. She looked around, but she couldn’t find her doll.
She searched through the bags and jackets, but Pansy was nowhere to be found.

Hugging Pansy tight again, Anika felt even more excited than she was on vacation last week.

【答案】One possible version:
She searched through the bags and jackets, but Pansy was nowhere to be found. On thinking Pansy might have been left behind along the way, Anika burst into tears. Seeing this, her parents comforted that Pansy might turn up somewhere when they visited Disney World. There seemed to be no better choice after all. Anika went to Disney World, enjoying all the fantastic views, but when she boarded the flight back a week later, she was missing Pansy in her deep heart. It is when she walked down the narrow aisle that she saw Leanne smiling, reaching a doll to her. That was Pansy!
Hugging Pansy tight again, Anika felt even more excited than she was on vacation last week. Leanne told Anika she found Pansy in the blanket and took Pansy to fly around the world along with her. “She visited many beautiful places and couldn’t wait to tell you all that she saw.” Leanne gently patted Anika’s hair, “but never leave her alone again, for she is missing you so much.” Grateful and happy, Anika nodded, “Thank you for giving Pansy such a good trip.” and she thought to herself that she would take all her trips with Pansy in the future.

Ballet is a way of life in my family. My elder sister Serena is now dancing at a top theatre and I am also a good ballet dancer at my school. Though my mom always wants me to follow in my sister’s footsteps, my love for ballet has been fading over the years and I have been eager for a new challenge.
One day when I left the dance studio after school, I walked past a gym and was attracted by the boxers (拳击手) who were fighting inside the boxing ring. I was deeply impressed by how hard they fought and how fast they moved.
“That is what I really want!” I told myself.
It was not a decision made on the spot. In fact, I had long been attracted to boxing. I even had the Oakwood High School Boxing Competition Sign- up Sheet in my backpack for two months. That was what I really wanted to have a try. But I was afraid to disappoint my parents, who had such high expectations of me when it came to ballet.
Tired of trying to keep up with my sister, I made up my mind to carve my own path. The next day, I gathered my courage and told Serena about my decision. At first, Serena thought I was just joking. But when she saw that I was serious, she replied, “You know Mom wants you to be a ballet dancer, right? Besides, boxing is only for boys, and you’re so good at ballet. Make best use of your strength, Kelly.”
“But this is where I want to put my strength,” I insisted, “and what exactly does ‘only for boys’ mean, anyway? Boxing is a sport for everyone!”
“You will learn what it exactly means soon enough!” Serena replied impatiently.
“I will stick to my own passion, no matter what it is!” I shouted back.
Touched by my determination, Serena gave in and promised not to tell my decision to our parents.

【答案】
It turned out that Serena was absolutely right. The boxing gym was filled with boys, all of whom were tough and strong. I felt somewhat out of place, being the only girl there. The initial training sessions were challenging, both physically and mentally. My ballet-trained body was flexible but lacked the power and endurance required for boxing. However, I persevered, driven by my passion. I knew that mastering boxing would not happen overnight. With each training session, I felt myself becoming faster and stronger.
Finally, the big day came. It was time for the Oakwood High School Boxing Competition. Standing in the ring, I reminded myself why I was there. As the bell rang, I moved quickly, utilizing the footwork I had honed in ballet to maintain balance and timing. My initial nervousness melted away, replaced by focus and determination. When the final round ended, I was exhausted but delighted. I had given it my all, and that was what mattered most. Later, I received word that I had won third place. More importantly, I had found my own path and embraced my true passion.

Being the youngest in my family has had its advantages, of course. But being the youngest also came with its fair share of troubles. I was often told what I couldn’t do and why. I knew that my family loved me. They always tried to protect me, help me and take care of me, but I couldn’t wait to show them I could do things by myself.
It was a hot day in Florida. The school year had just ended and it was time for summer vacation. We had just gotten a little black dog who we named One-Eyed.
Everybody wanted to do something for the dog: feed him, teach him tricks and take long walks with him. Everybody was so happy to have this little active, playful new addition to our family. I was so desperate to pet One-Eyed myself, too. Every time I asked my brother or my sister if I could do that, they would shout, “No!” or tell me that I had germs (细菌). Once, they even convinced me that I had so many germs and that if I touched One-Eyed he would die! I really believed them and was scared that something terrible would happen to the dog. Once I even confessed to my mom that I touched the dog when no one noticed. At first, my mom seemed very confused about what I was telling her, but then she realized that they were playing a joke on me to keep me away from the dog. My mom scolded my brother and sister, “You better stop teasing your little brother!” Little brother! That’s exactly what I was. That really got my blood boiling. The frustration built up inside me as I watched them enjoy their time with One-Eyed, excluding me from the joyous moments. I knew I was capable of taking care of myself and forming my own connection with our new furry friend. Determination filled my heart, fueling a newfound sense of independence.
I took one look at the dog and decided, I was going to prove to everyone that I could pet and play with One-Eyed.

Seeing this, my brother and sister couldn’t believe their eyes.

【答案】I took one look at the dog and decided, I was going to prove to everyone that I could pet and play with One-Eyed. Determined, I approached One-Eyed slowly, extending my hand towards him. As I got closer, the dog wagged his tail and looked up at me, as if he knew I was about to do something brave. Taking a deep breath, I gently placed my hand on his furry head. The moment our skin touched, I felt an incredible rush of joy and excitement. One-Eyed didn’t seem bothered at all; in fact, he seemed to enjoy the attention. It was as if a bond had instantly formed between us.
Seeing this, my brother and sister couldn’t believe their eyes. Their jaws dropped in astonishment. “You did it!” my sister exclaimed. My brother, still in disbelief, stammered, “But... but we told you all those things!” I smiled triumphantly, realizing that I had proven them wrong. “You see,” I said confidently, “I am capable of doing things on my own. And just because I’m the youngest doesn’t mean I can’t take care of myself and be responsible.” Being the youngest had its challenges, but it also shaped me into the resilient, determined person I am today. And I will forever be grateful to One-Eyed for showing me that age and size don’t define one’s abilities.

When I first moved to the south of America in the summer holiday before middle school, I realized that I was stepping into a completely different world. New Orleans, Louisiana, was unlike any place I had ever been to. In the French Quarter, tourists walked around all year with long skinny cups in their hands, and there was a popular game going on the streets which were crowded with cars but had few people. What surprised me more than anything, though, was the constant friendliness and compassion of the people of New Orleans.
“What can I get for you, sugar?” a waitress about my age asked me on my first day in New Orleans.
I was taken aback. The waitress did not even know me, but she treated me like family. She smiled down at me as I pointed to an item on the menu.
“Is the pasta good?” I asked her.
“It’s not my favorite,” she admitted with a smile. “But I’m more of a girl who prefers rice!” She shrugged, letting out a loud laughter.
I looked at her in shock. What was I supposed to say to that? I couldn’t believe that the waitress had just prevented me from ordering something. Actually, she had given me her honest opinion, as if we were best friends. She even told me her name—Mary. She even told me that she just worked as a part-time waitress and that she would be a high school student soon.
After a few days in New Orleans, I got used to kind reminders and polite greetings. I also realized how comforting it was to be treated like I belong wherever I went.
As soon as I settled into my new high school, I adapted myself to the school life. I was drawn to the lively music scene that New Orleans was famous for. I was a trumpet (小号) player, and I wanted to join the school music club. However, I was afraid that I was too poor in music to be qualified for the school music club.

【答案】
One afternoon, I was surprised to see a group of students including Mary practicing jazz in the school playground. The vibrant notes of trumpets, saxophones, and drums intermingled under the warm sun, creating a harmonious symphony that echoed throughout the campus. Mary, her fingers dancing across the valves of her trumpet, noticed me watching from afar and beckoned me over with an inviting smile. “You play, don't you? Come join us!” she shouted above the music, her eyes sparkling with genuine enthusiasm. My heart raced; this was the chance I had secretly hoped for, yet my insecurities held me back.
Finally, with Mary’s encouragement, my hesitation slowly melted away. I gathered my courage and approached the ensemble, trumpet in hand. The group warmly welcomed me, their acceptance dispelling my fears. Under Mary’s patient guidance, I began to find my rhythm within the ensemble. Our practices became a haven where mistakes transformed into learning opportunities, and every note played strengthened my confidence. Through this experience, I learned that sometimes, it takes a little push from a friend to realize one’s potential and truly belong.

When I was a kid of about twelve years old, I had a lot of freckles (雀斑). I had reached the age when I began to really look at myself in the mirror, and I was upset.
I had a cousin whose name was Janette Elizabeth. She looked exactly like her name sounds. She had perfect skin. I couldn’t help comparing myself with her and thinking’ that my life would be a lot different if I had beautiful skin too.
And then, in the back pages of Elizabeth’s magazine, I found the answer: an advertisement for freckle-remover cream. I knew that I could afford it if I saved my money, and I did. The ad assured me that the product would arrive in mail soon. For three weeks I went to the mailbox every day.I knew that if someone else in my family got the mail, I would never hear the end of it. There was no way that they would let me open the box in private.
Three weeks later, my package finally came. I went to my room with it, sat on the edge of my bed, and opened it. I was sure that I was looking at something that would make me beautiful. When I got up the next morning, I applied the cream all over my face. Then I took my hoe (锄头) and went with my brother and cousins to hoe the field, where I got rid of some tiger lilies (虎皮百合), seemingly ugly with black and small spots.
The sun was so strong that my face started to burn. By the end of the day, when I came back to the house, my family, knowing nothing about the freckle-remover cream, began to say things like, “I’ve never seen you with that many freckles before.” When I saw myself in the mirror, I burst into tears and hid in the bathroom.

【答案】范文:
My mother called me to the dinner table, but I ignored her. When she came to the bathroom door and demanded that I come out and have a meal, I burst out of the door, tears streaming down my cheeks. Before she stopped me, I stormed into my room and banged the door. Looking into the mirror. I saw a girl with more and darker freckles on her face. Only then did I realize that the cream had side effects when wearing it in the sun. I threw myself down on the bed and sobbed.
After what seemed a century, I heard a gentle knock on my bedroom door. Hesitating for a moment, with red eyes and still wet cheeks, I opened the door. At the door stood my mother with a big bunch of tiger lilies, which were covered with black spots but amazingly beautiful. I stared at her in surprise, not knowing what to say. My mother gave me a warm hug. “There are all kinds of flowers, and they are all beautiful and sweet,” she said. Hearing this, and smelling the fragrance of the tiger lilies, the freckles on my face seemed to have magically disappeared.

One morning, my family and I woke up and went to eat breakfast——until we heard barking and scratching at the door. When my mom opened the door, we saw a puppy(小狗). We looked around to see if we saw its owner, but there was no one. We took it inside and fed it.
Regardless of how badly I wanted to keep the puppy, we decided to look for the owner. We looked all day, but we failed. We talked about whether we should keep looking or if we should look the next day. We all agreed to look for its owner the next day.
So, the next day my family and I looked for the dog's owner. It was so hard looking for its owner. We were looking for flyers(传单)that involved the puppy, but no luck. We wouldn't have quit because it's a puppy.
“We won't stop looking,” my mom and dad said. We were going to take care of the puppy until we found its owner.
When we woke up in the morning, we went to a pet shop to buy the puppy some dog food. After that we went back home to feed the puppy the dog food that we had just bought. After we fed the puppy, we gave it a nice bath. It was so dirty that the fur was black and sticky, but after we gave it a bath, it turned white. And I noticed there was a collar (狗项圈)on him, which said “Coby”. After we gave him a bath, we went to look for the p uppy's owner, but my mom stayed at home, and it was only my dad and me this time.

【答案】One possible version:
There was a phone number on the flyer. My dad called it and someone answered; it was a lady. My dad asked whether she was the one who put out the flyers. She said “Yes!” with excitement and told us Coby, who was very dear to her, had been gone days before. Then we told her that we had her puppy and we would take him to her. She told us her address at once; then we went to it.
We found the lady’s house, and then we knocked on the door. A lady opened the door, and when she saw the puppy, she screamed with joy. We handed her the puppy, feeling proud. She wanted to give us a reward for taking care of her puppy for her, but we said it was OK because we were really happy to help. So we went home tired but content, telling my mom the whole thing. My family became friends with the lady, and we were all happy.

When I was 11, I followed Jack to the deep mountain in search of a beautiful stream.
We searched for a whole day, but we didn’t find it. As it got dark, I asked Jack to go back, but he refused and said, “I would rather sleep here tonight and continue to search tomorrow!”
I desired to go home but I didn’t go back alone, so I chose to stay in a small cave with him. It was freezing cold in the cave and we couldn’t have a good sleep. What’s worse, we heard a wolf howling nearby! I was so scared and began to cry.
“I heard that wolves were afraid of the brave,” Jack comforted me. “Let’s strike the stick and shout to scare it away!” He started to strike the stick. And then he shouted as he struck the stick. Inspired, I stopped crying and started shouting loudly. Half an hour later, my stomach began to ache and then I collapsed. Jack was shocked with panic. He called my name screamingly, but I just made no response. He tried to put me on his back to carry me home but failed. At last, he went out and found some tree branches and blocked up the entrance to our cave. Then, he ran to the direction of our village as fast as he could.
Quite a long time had passed before I heard some sounds approaching near. I thought it was Jack but I didn’t hear him saying anything. In a shock, I sat up with a rush. At that moment, my eyes had adjusted to the darkness. Through the branches, I saw two animals like dogs removing the tree branches with their mouths and claws. They were wolves!

【答案】One possible version:
Paragraph 1:
Their shining green eyes in the darkness trapped me into deep fear. But I managed to stand myself. I struck the stick beside me and screamed as loudly as I could. The two wolves were frightened at first and stepped back. But after a short time of hesitation, they continued to remove the branches. And however hard I struck the stick, they just ignored. I was in despair. Nevertheless, a firm belief is rooted in my heart: I wouldn’t give it up without a fight.
Paragraph 2:
All of a sudden, I saw the two wolves turn around and run away in a hurry. “Are they afraid of my stick?” I wondered. But I understood why when I saw many flashlights approaching my cave quickly. It proved that Jack had run away to seek help. With a dozen of villagers, Jack was coming to my rescue! They were calling my name and I responded as they removed the branches. As Jack got into the cave and hugged me, I couldn’t help crying, both in fright and relief.

Small boats loaded with various goods sped to the great liner as she was entering the harbour. Before she had anchored, the men from the boats had climbed on board and the decks were soon covered with all kinds of beautiful things they tried to sell. It was difficult not to be attracted. Many of the tourists on board had begun bargaining with the tradesmen, but I decided not to buy anything until I had got off.
I had no sooner got off the ship than I was assailed (纠缠) by a man who wanted to sell me a diamond ring. I had no intention of buying one, but I could not deny the fact that I was impressed by the size of the diamonds. Some of them were as big as marbles (小玻璃球). The man tried his best to prove that the diamonds were real. As we were walking past a shop, he held a diamond firmly against the window and made a deep impression in the glass. It took me over half an hour to get rid of him.
The next man to approach me was selling expensive pens and watches. I examined one of the pens closely. It certainly looked authentic. At the base of the gold cap, the words ‘made in the U.S.A.’ had been neatly carved. The man said that the pen was worth£50, but as a special favour, he would let me have it for£30. I shook my head and held up five fingers showing that I was willing to pay£5. Gesticulating (打手势) wildly, the man acted as if he found my offer extremely unfair, but he finally reduced the price to£10. Shrugging my shoulders, I began to walk away when, a moment later, he ran after me and pushed the pen into my hands. Though he kept throwing up his arms in despair, he readily accepted the£5 I gave him. I felt especially pleased with my wonderful bargain.

【答案】 After I got home, my daughter Lily found the pen in my luggage by accident. She admired it so much that she begged for it. On hearing it, I burst into laughter and gave it to her as a gift. Mary held the pen firmly and burst into her own room. However, a few minutes later, she came back with her head lowered and handed the pen over to me without saying a word. I asked her what was the matter, and she just pointed at the pen and a bottle of ink on the desk. I took it over and made an attempt. (89words)
No matter how hard I tried, it was impossible to fill this beautiful pen with ink. Nor could I write a single word! How come? I felt extremely embarrassed. When Mary asked me where the pen came from, I told her the whole story. Now, the pen is still placed in my drawer near my bed. Whenever I look for a pen, I always see it in my drawer and think of my experience someone may encounter in life. (63words)

We continued looking more and more until we found flyers. “We looked at it.”it said.
“Lost Dog: Please Help if Found.” Then we looked at the picture;it looked exactly like Coby. We were all happy we found a flyer that was for Cody.
