②情态动词could, have to, can, may, should, must, would等后需填动词原形。 It‘s+adj.+for/ of sb. to do sth.对某人来说做某事是……  seem to do sth. 看起来要做某事;be sure to do sth. ④位于限定词this, these, those, many, some, any, a lot of等后。 ①若表示条件关系,用if,unless; ②表示转折关系,用but; ③表示选择关系用or; ④表示因果关系,用because,so等; ⑤表示让步关系,用though,although; ⑥表示时间关系,用when,while,until等。 September 10th is Teachers’ Day. In autumn after a strong wind, the ground is often covered with fallen leaves. 2. We could not run faster than cheetahs,so we invented cars and now we can move the fastest. When you laugh ,you will open your mouth and your teeth. 3. Last Sunday,we played happily in the park, though we were very tired. Summer is the hottest season of the year. 4. Help yourself to some fish,Jim. Mrs Green said to the twins .”Help yourselves to some fish please. ” This book belongs to Mary. It is hers. 5. For years, we played other people’s songs, but now we play mostly our own songs. She didn’t go to school yesterday ,because she was ill. 1:Tony’s family was preparing dinner when Amy arrived. The family was cooking vegetables with hot oil. The k          was filled with many good smells. 1:Tony is Chinese American. Hisfamily members gather together and serve a traditional Chinese meal once a week. Last week Tony i          his friend Amy for it. Don't drive your car in London! Car parks are very e          . You have to pay a special congestion charge (拥堵费) to drive your car into the city centre. Tickets at reducedprices are not available for first-class travels or for travels a       ,such as to France or Germany.(上海中考英语真题) 解析:所填之空作状语修饰动词,判断此处词性应为副词,根据上下文得出此处填 abroad(adv. U        we are careful, it’s easy to fail to recognized an opportunity when it is in hand. W           his help, the old man was safe. The boy thanked him very much. It was a l            earlier. But it was too late. His friend was very angry. Mr. White said nothing but only one word “S          .” One Sunday afternoon, Mr. White drove his new car to his friend’s house happily. He wanted to p          his friend up at five and then went to see a new movie together. I fell in love with the book from the very beginning and finished it in only a couple of days. One reason why it was such a page-turner was Liu Cixin’s brilliant story-telling style. I e 1 liked his way of dealing with time. Most books are chronological (按时间顺序排列的), but The Three-Body Problem jumps back and forth. It is s 2 back in history, nearly 60 years ago. Then, it jumps forward 40 years, when the characters have become elderly men and women, before jumping back a 3 . And the lives of Ye Wenjie and Wang Miao certainly kept me turning the pages. However, I also fell in love with this book because it was thought-provoking. Yes, there are aliens in it, but the theme of this story is life on Earth and how we humans are destroying the planet. Real-world science, history and philosophy (哲学) are combined into this fascinating (极有吸引力的) story. As a great sci-fi w 4 , it sparks (激发) interest in science, and it makes readers think. The Three-Body Problem has enjoyed great popularity worldwide. It’s no surprise, then, that it has been adapted into a TV series. At first, I didn’t like this idea. Books often lose a lot of their value when they are made into TV series. Books are s 5 . You need patience to understand what is going on. TV moves much faster. It is packed with action and cool characters. Young people are often more interested in what they see on their s 6 than in the stories and their messages. However, some of you may be too young to fully understand books like The Three-Body Problem. A good TV series can help you to become a better reader and can inspire you to read more w 7 . But once you do fall in love with reading, you will realize that it is a good book, not a TV series, that will be your friend for life. Play—and Work—at Disney With a laptop and a good internet connection, you can work from just about anywhere these days——e 8 Disney World! More and more Americans are choosing to b 9 their jobs to Disney amusement parks. There are not only journalists and travel writers, but programmers and designers too. AJ Wolfe is a travel writer. She has been writing about Disney parks for more than 15 years. Wolfe has extensive (丰富的) e 10 working from the parks. She enjoys sharing tips on the best places at Disney to work remotely. According to Wolfe, the number of remote workers in Disney World has increased greatly in the past two years. “People want to feel like they’re living in Disney World,” she e 11 . “You’re closer to the ‘Happiest Place on Earth’. It’s more convenient to visit after work.” Wolfe believes this trend also shows that the line between work and play is becoming l 12 clear. In many modern jobs, people never truly clock out. Disney has set up more places around the parks for people to charge their electronics. After all, guests rely on the Disney World app to order food, scan tickets, check wait times, and perform various other tasks. Many restaurants b 13 the parks have added charging stations, too. “These upgrades have really benefited remote workers,” Wolfe said. Not everyone is happy about this trend, though. In late April, a Disney fan complained online about the remote workers. His post started a hot debate. Some argued that the parks should o 14 be for play and relaxation, not work. Some felt that the remote workers were damaging the visitor experience. The s 15 in the cafés, for example, are meant for travelers. But now, many of them are taken up by remote workers. The “Black Myth” Effect A GAMER from Shanghai recently bought himself a two-meter-long “golden cudgel (金箍棒)” after playing the video game Black Myth: Wukong. It is similar in every detail to the magic stick f 16 the game. The stick is now a popular item on Taobao and Tmall. On these platforms, other products cobranded with the game are also selling w 17 . Black Myth is China’s first Triple-A game. Since its release on August 20, it has taken the gaming world by storm. It sold 10 million copies in its first three days. This m 18 it one of the fastest-selling video games of all time. Beyond that, the game has c 19 a “Black Myth” effect across several industries. Sales of home video game consoles (家用游戏机) have increased greatly from last year. Other gaming-related g 20 have also become more popular. Laptops, keyboards, mice and headphones have all seen big increases in sales. The impact of the game has gone beyond gaming. Its s 21 has led to a travel boom in parts of China. Many scenes in the game are from real places. Players want to follow their hero and visit the same places. As a result, several locations have reported increased tourist activity. Some sites have even seen ticket sales triple Spiders weigh almost nothing. Yet they are stronger than steel. In fact, some spiders’ webs are among the world’s strongest materials, but they can be pulled longer than elastic (橡皮筋). They can also be any shape. Spider webs are amazing. A spider has hundreds of small openings in its body. Silk comes out of these openings as a liquid, and, as it r 22 the air, it becomes thread-like. These tiny threads (线) come together to form a single thread. The spider can make many different kinds of thread (线). The thread can be thick or thin, wet or dry, or sticky. Each kind has a different p 23 . Some webs create an egg box. Others provide hiding places. The most common, however, is to catch food. There are many ways the spider uses its web to catch food. For example, some spiders produce a single thread. An insect then sits on it without realizing what it is doing, and becomes s 24 . Slowly, the spider moves towards the insect. Suddenly, it covers its food in silk. Some spiders use a different kind of t 25 . They make webs that cheat insects. An insect sees the web and thinks it’s a flower. It then lands on the web. The spider can feel even the smallest m 26 of the web, and rushes at the insect before it can get away. Spider webs are so amazing that engineers have been studying them for years. They want to learn why they are so strong and elastic. However, for the moment, spiders are k 27 their secrets. Although they have made great progress in science and technology, humans still haven’t been able to c 28 natural webs. When was the last time you left home without your mobile phone? Can you i 29 yourself living a month, or even a year without checking your mobile phone? As a busy modern person with lots of s 30 connections, plans and responsibilities, I just can’t afford to not be in touch with the rest of the world. Staying connected to other people is a big part of my life. However, sometimes it can be bothersome (恼人的). One day I was terribly tired out. I tried turning notifications (通知) off. But the fear of missing out something i 31 made me check the phone more often than before. So, I stopped using my phone. Well, it was not simple at all. For the first couple of days, I had a big fear that all of my friends would soon f 32 about me. When I had a free moment, the worries mixed with boredom kept bothering me. However, after three weeks without a mobile phone, I started noticing changes. I didn’t focus on continuing the experiment, but in fact reorganizing some of my h 33 . I gave up what I used to do and started a new lifestyle. I discovered that the world is a beautiful place. Before, I would look at it through my camera mostly: take a photo, post it, get some likes. Now, I saw beautiful people walking around and I sensed the seasons change. I could understand the actual beauty of the world, and I didn’t need anyone else to prove the v 34 of this beauty through likes or shares. Now, as 100 days have passed, I can say that the experiment was w 35 it. I am planning to stay away from my phone for as long as possible. Night after night, she came into my bedroom. She would push my long hair out of the way, then kiss my forehead. I don’t remember when it first started annoying (惹恼) me—her hands pushing my hair that way. But it did annoy me, for they felt rough a 36 my young skin. Finally, one night, I shouted out at her, “Don’t do that any more—your hands are too rough!” She didn’t say anything in reply. But n 37 again did my mother come in my room with the expression of her love. From time to time, with the passing years, my thoughts r 38 to that night. By then I missed my mother’s hands, missed her goodnight kiss on my forehead. Sometimes the picture seemed very c 39 , sometimes far away. But always it was in my mind. Well, the years have passed, and I’m not a little girl any more. Mom is in her mid-seventies, and those hands I once thought to be so rough are still doing things for me and my family. She has been our d 40 , reaching into a medicine box for something to calm a young girl’s stomach. She has been our cook, cooking the best food in the world. Now, my own children are grown and gone. Mom no longer has Dad, and on special days, I spend the night with her. On Thanksgiving Eve, in the bedroom of my youth, a f 41 hand gently ran across my face to brush the hair from my forehead. In my m 42 , for a thousand times, I recalled my young voice, “Don’t do that anymore—your hands are too rough!” Catching Mom’s hand, I told her how sorry I was for that night. But Mom didn’t know what I was talking about. She had forgotten a long time ago. My name Is Brad Li. I’m here today to tell you about my experience as an exchange student in the United States last year. I must admit that at first America was a big culture shock for me. Many things were s 43 to me: the language, the food and even the school. I stayed with a host family in a small town. My host parents, Mr and Mrs Hurst, were very kind. They o 44 a lot of activities for me in my spare time so that I wouldn’t miss home or feel lonely. However, to a certain degree, life in the US was hard to get used to. My main problem was with the language. I failed to know clearly in the first few weeks because everyone spoke so fast. T 45 I soon managed to get used to it, I still had problems because they used a lot of idioms. For example, they often say they are “under the weather” when they are ill. Their everyday English is very different from what we learn in China. Another d 46 was the food. My host family always had bread, potatoes and salad for meals. I really missed the dumplings, rice and delicious dishes from home. School was a big shock too. They do not require students to wear uniforms, so students can wear a 47 anything what they like. Some students have interesting hairstyles as well. Some students even have pink or purple hair! Anyway, I have many great memories of that year, e 48 playing in the snow in winter, and playing baseball. At Halloween, I went to a party dressed as Harry Potter. Unless you are one of those rare people with an excellent memory, you probably have trouble remembering the names of people you have just met. This problem can be frustrating (令人沮丧的) and embarrassing. L 50 , there are a number of ways you can overcome this human weakness. Before examining the methods to help remember people’s names, let’s look at the reasons why we are so f 51 in the first place. Researchers think it’s due to a lack of motivation (动机). People are better at remembering things that they want to learn. To put it simply, you’re just not that i 52 . Another reason is that putting a new face to a name is more complicated (复杂的) than we think, which leads to another problem. We usually don’t make an e 53 to memorize new names immediately. Not only that, but when meeting someone new, we may be thinking about other things and not be paying enough attention. All of this means that we need to take measures to a 54 the embarrassment of forgetting a person’s name. One good method is to say a person’s name when you greet them and also r 55 it silently to yourself a few times, which is essential for learning any type of skill. Using a memory method, such as l 56 individual names with something else, also helps. For example, if someone’s name is Ben and he is tall, you can label him (to yourself, of course) “Big Ben”. In addition, focusing on people and listening more closely when you meet them will assist you in recalling their names. Although forgetting names isn’t a matter of life or death, it’s uncomfortable. Putting these theories into practice will help you better avoid this social discomfort. Which would you rather spend your money on, an outing with friends or a pair of expensive shoes? 根据上文“One reason why it was such a page-turner was Liu Cixin’s brilliant story-telling style.” 根据“is …. back in”和首字母“s”提示可知,此处考查be set in“以…… 故填(a)gain。 4. 根据上文“Most books are chronological, but The Three-Body Problem jumps back and forth.” 根据下文“You need patience to understand what is going on.” 根据上文“Books often lose a lot of their value when they are made into TV series.” 根据上文“A good TV series can help you to become a better reader”和首字母“w”提示可知,好的电视剧可以让你成为一个更好的读者,所以此处是指好的电视剧能激励人读的更多,更广泛;考查widely“广泛地”,副词,在句中作状语,修饰动词“read”。 Play—and Work—at Disney With a laptop and a good internet connection, you can work from just about anywhere these days——e 8 Disney World! At Thanksgiving, we had a big dinner with a huge turkey. It was an exciting year, and it was a valuable education for me. Now I u 49 more about American culture. 根据“This problem can be frustrating (令人沮丧的) and embarrassing.”及“there are a number of ways you can overcome this human weakness.” 根据“Before examining the methods to help remember people’s names”可知,此处是remember的反义词forget;根据“we are so”可知,此处填形容词,forgetful“健忘的”符合句意。故填(f)orgetful。 52. 根据“People are better at remembering things that they want to learn.” 故填(i)nterested。 53. 根据“make an ... to”可知,考查make an effort to do sth.“努力做某事”。故填(e)ffort。 54. 故填(a)void。 55. 根据“a few times”及首字母可知,此处指“重复几次”,repeat“重复”符合句意;根据“when you greet them and also”可知,此处填动词原形。故填(r)epeat。 56. 根据例子“For example, if someone’s name is Ben/and he is tall, you can label him (to yourself, of course) ‘Big Ben’.” 72. applied 解析:根据上文 “I saw an advertisement for a dolphin trainer in the newspaper.
