Once there was a King who had everything, a rich kingdom, kind wife, nice children but was still
unhappy.
Once he reached a small village where a potter(陶工) was selling pots outside the temple. At the
potter’s stand, some pots were filled with water and Potter was singing happily while lying comfortably
near his stand.
King came to a temple and after coming out of the temple, he saw the potter and sat near him. Potter
offered water to King with respect.
King was impressed by the potter’s happiness. Sitting beside him, King watched for a while and
started thinking that potter made little money in his work.
Thinking about it, King said to Potter, “Brother, will you come with me to the city?”
Potter replied, “What will I do after going to the city?”
King said, “Well, there you can make lots of pots, more than you make here.”
Potter asked, “Then what will I do with those pots?”
King replied, “You will be able to earn a lot of money by selling them.
Potter asked, “Then what will I do with that money?”
King surprised by his question, said, “What will you do with money? Money is everything.” Now,
Potter asked, “Now, you tell me what I will do with that money.”
King said, “You can live a comfortable and happy life.”
Listening to this, potter questioned to King, “Sorry, ______?”
King got silent, as if this question shocked him.
Then after a while, King said, “Yes, you are lying comfortably at this moment and as far as I can see
you are in complete happiness.”
Potter smiled and said, “Yes. That’s what I am telling you that happiness can’t be bought with money.”
The biggest reason for most people’s unhappiness is that whatever they have, they are not happy in it

A bell rings at 7 pm every evening in Mohityache Avadgaon village, in India, telling people that it is time for everyone to tum off screen devices (设备), like televisions and mobile phones. At 8:30 pm, the bell rings the second time, telling the 3,000 villagers that screen-free time is over. The leaders of the village introduced it so that young people could focus on their homework and not be influenced by funny videos or phone messages. However, some say that a screen simply allows people to get information - it is not harmful in itself. A person can decide for themselves when to put down a device. So should you set limits (限制) on screen time?
Yes-screen time should be limited
Phones, computers and TV are great ways for getting information and lots of fun. However, they can be addictive (使人成瘾的) and some people need help to break from them. Even if people are chatting on their phone or playing online games together, they can still feel lonely. Screen-free time means people can connect with family and friends in the real world. It's also a great chance for people to go outside and be active, which is good for their health. Too much screen time can lead to other problems, such as not sleeping properly and being short on creativity.
No-people can manage their screen time
Through devices like phones and computers, people can find answers to many questions. Screen time can be productive--you can read great works of literature(文学), discover wonderful facts or read about important things happening in the world. It is great for homework and curious minds. Electronic devices also allow friends and family to stay in touch. Most people naturally take screen breaks, for example when they eat or exercise. People should be free to judge for themselves how much screen time they should have.
Now that you've read a lot about it, tell us what you think on the website theweekiunior.co.uk/polls. Choose YES if you think screen time should be limited, or NO if you don't. We'll show the results next week.

That future is almost here. “I think it's going to happen. Definitely (确切地) in ten years...and hopefully much, much faster.”said Sebastian Thrun in 2021. At that time, his young company Kitty Hawk Corporation was working on developing a Flying car known as eVTOL, or Electronic Vertical Take- Off and Landing vehicle (车辆).
Flying to work or school sounds unbelievable. Not only is it fun to fly, but “there would never be traffic again, because the sky is very, very large," says Thrun. He also thinks eVTOL could be greener than common cars. “We go much faster, we go in a straight line, we fly on less energy," he says.
So far, though, flying cars haven't taken off as a product. Will their day come? There are still many problems to solve. Their high price means most people won't be able to afford one. So some companies are developing them as air taxis that people could pay to ride. The main problem with flying cars is safety. Accidents in the air are dangerous to both the passengers and anyone on the ground beneath.在下方 To make eVTOLs safer, many developers are aiming to make themself-flying -no human pilot required.
Another problem is space. Most aircraft need long runways to take off and land. Lifting straight up and down like a helicopter solves this problem. But eVTOLs still need special spaces called vertiports, for take-off and landing. Finding places to put these could be tricky,棘手的 especially in crowded cities. But maybe some could go on top of buildings.
What do you think? Would you enjoy riding to school or to visit a friend in a self-flying taxi? Are flying cars a good idea, or should we find other ways to get around in the near future?
23.What is Sebastian Thrun's opinion about the future of flying cars?
A. He thinks it will never happen. B. He thinks it will happen in the next century
C. He believes it will happen in ten years or sooner. D.He is not sure about the future of flying cars.
24. Why are some companies developing flying cars as air taxis?
A. To solve safety problems. B. To make them cheaper.
C.To provide rides for people. D.To compete with common cars.
25. What is the possible structure of the passage?
26. What is probably the best title of the passage?
A. Is a Flying Car Your Dream Car? B. The History of Air Travel Technologies
C. Will Future Flying Cars Need Drivers? D. The Exciting World of Electric Taxis
