C.Mastering written and spoken Arabic. 20.What excites the speaker most? A.Being invited to a local meal. B.Shopping at a local market. C.Getting to know the locals. 【答案】18.B 19.C 20.A 【原文】W: Good evening, everyone. I recently learnt Arabic in Cairo as part of my degree. My interest in the language was due to the passion of our Arabic lecturer and as the course progressed, my interest in the culture also grew with it. I considered studying in the Middle East, but ultimately decided on Cairo due to its energetic cultural scene. However, in the city, we faced some challenges, including difficulties finding a hotel and accommodation as we were a group of unmarried individuals. Once settled, the culture shock was intense for some of us. One member of our group returned home within the first week. Luckily I became accustomed to the life in Cairo gradually. The biggest challenge of learning Arabic is the disconnection between the written and the spoken forms. Despite these challenges, learning Arabic has been a rewarding experience, including absorbing myself in the culture and getting to know the locals and even negotiating at a local market. Highlights were being invited to a traditional Arabic meal at one of the locals’ home and being able to confidently communicate. Overall, this experience was outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to learn and grow in interesting ways. I encourage others to consider involving themselves in new cultures and languages. Thanks for listening. A Interested in a solo (单独) travel in Greece? 故选A。 22. Best Time to Take a Solo Greece Trip部分中的“Come just after the rush (October and November) and it will be perfect. It will be warm enough for solo beach days but not too crowded. 根据第一段“Interested in a solo (单独) travel in Greece? Want to have a safe and fun trip exploring on your own? Then you’re in the right place! Now, let’s explore something you need to learn about solo travel to Greece. B。 B Nature was Chen Rui’s “childhood home”. The 37-year-old researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Institute of Zoology was not able to talk until he was 4 years old. He didn’t have friends around his age, which led him to turn his attention to nonhuman things around him. He became fascinated by the world of insects. “The happiest time of my childhood was in the farm fields. I squatted there, observing the activities of insects, including ants building their homes and dragonflies flying low. I had so many questions about their activities and was full of curiosity about this world,” says Chen. The experiences in his childhood planted a seed deep in his heart. Decades later, he’s a scholar who has engaged in life-science investigations in nearly 100 countries and regions on five continents. He has found around 100 new species, living and extinct. “I was ‘healed’ by nature,” he says. “I wanted to grow up to share the power of nature with more young people and to popularize understanding of animals, including insects.” He has ever visited the Amazon rainforest several times, trying to discover new species. One insect variety he found was leaf-cutter ants, a species that shows powerful cooperation and farming abilities. He is impressed by their close coordination. He observed that the ants are divided into different groups that are respectively responsible for cutting leaves, transporting harvested pieces, clearing obstacles out of the way, guarding the colony and taking care of the young. “Several million ants can live in one nest, but their activities are very orderly,” says Chen. Chen points out that leaf-cutter ants are not the only species to possess magical abilities. “If we humans believe we are the smartest beings in the world, we may be constrained by this preconception. If we are instead humble and regard all other beings as our teachers, we can gain boundless wisdom,“ he says. 24.The underlined word “seed” in paragraph 2 refers to___________. A.Interest in farmland B.Passion for studying insects C.Dream of becoming a scholar D.Curiosity about the Amazon rainforest 25.Which aspect of leaf-cutter ants impresses Chen Rui? A.Their orderly teamwork. B.Their daily activities. C.Their farming ability. D.Their unique transportation. 26.What does Chen Rui expect people to do? A.Explore the world of science. B.Apply theories to our lives. C.Protect nonhuman things around us. D.Take inspiration from other species. 27.Which of the following can be the best title for the text? A.The Joys of Childhood in the Fields. B.Chen Rui: A Person Cured by Nature. C.Chen Rui’s Adventures in the Amazon. D.Leaf-Cutter Ants: An Amazing Species. 【答案】24.B 25.A 26.D 27.B 【导语】本文是一篇记叙文。文章主要讲述了研究员陈睿的成长经历和对自然界的热爱, 以及他在探索生物多样性方面的所见及感悟。文章旨在引导学生探索自然, 关注环境保护和生物多样性。 24.词义猜测题。根据前文“He became fascinated by the world of insects. “The happiest time of my childhood was in the farm fields. I squatted there, observing the activities of insects, including ants building their homes and dragonflies flying low. I had so many questions about their activities and was full of curiosity about this world,” says Chen.(他被昆虫的世界迷住了。 根据第三段的“He is impressed by their close coordination. He observed that the ants are divided into different groups that are respectively responsible for cutting leaves, transporting harvested pieces, clearing obstacles out of the way, guarding the colony and taking care of the young.(它们的密切配合给他留下了深刻的印象。他观察到,蚂蚁被分成不同的群体,分别负责割叶、运输收获的碎片、清除路上的障碍物、守卫蚁群和照顾幼蚁。)”可知,让陈睿印象深刻的是切叶蚁们密切的合作。它们有不同的群体划分, 分别负责不同的工作,故选A。 26.推理判断题。根据最后一段最后两句““If we humans believe we are the smartest beings in the world, we may be constrained by this preconception. If we are instead humble and regard all other beings as our teachers, we can gain boundless wisdom,” he says.( 他说,“如果我们人类相信自己是世界上最聪明的生物,我们可能会被这种先入为主的观念所束缚。 B。 C People whose jobs are highly sedentary (久坐不动的) — an estimated 80% of the modern workforce — experience a much higher risk of insomnia (失眠) symptoms, according to a new study led by University of South Florida psychologist Claire Smith. “The way we are designing work poses serious, long-term threats to healthy sleep,” Smith said. “Healthy sleep involves more than just getting your eight hours. It’s also falling asleep easily, sleeping through the night and having a consistent sleep schedule. Companies should be aware of the specific sleep risks of their workforce to improve detection and intervention.” The research, based on data from the national Midlife in the United States study, identified three sleep health categories among workers over a 10-year period: good sleepers, catch-up sleepers and insomnia-like sleepers. The study found that sedentary work is strongly linked to the insomnia sleeper category, characterized by symptoms such as difficulty falling asleep, interrupted sleep and frequent daytime tiredness. Meanwhile, employees with nontraditional schedules, such as working night shifts, were more likely to fall into the catch-up sleeper group. Smith said the research suggests that moving your body during the workday and limiting after-hours work may not just help you sleep well that night but protect against ongoing sleep problems a decade later. The study also shows that workers who fall into a pattern of poor sleep due to their job design, such as long hours of sedentary work or erratic schedules, may end up stuck in such unhealthy patterns for years. For example, 90% of insomnia-like sleepers saw their symptoms persist 10 years later. “This is particularly important for both employers and employees, since research shows that poor sleep health is known to impact productivity, well-being and overall health,” said Smith, who led the project in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of experts in psychology, psychiatry, aging and medicine. She added that the findings suggest redesigning jobs with sleep health in mind could be key to improving worker well-being and underscore the need for workplace interventions that consider sleep health as a dynamic, multifaceted issue, rather than a one-size-fits-all problem. 28.What does the study focus on? A.The importance of getting enough sleep. B.Tips for improving sleep quality for workers. C.The link between sedentary work and sleep problems. D.Research on the sleep patterns of middle-aged people. 29.Who are most likely to experience insomnia-like symptoms? A.Those who work at night. B.Those who frequently work overtime. C.Those who work with flexible schedules. D.Those who have a consistent sleep schedule. 30.What does the underlined word “erratic” mean in paragraph 6? A.Fixed. B.Stable. C.Irregular. D.Well-organized. 31.What does Smith suggest employers and employees should do? A.Treat sleep health as a one-size-fits-all issue. B.Ignore sleep problems as they are not serious. C.Consider sleep health when redesigning jobs. D.Focus on productivity rather than sleep quality. 【答案】28.C 29.B 30.C 31.C 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讲述了久坐不动的工作与睡眠问题之间的联系,并呼吁重视职场中的睡眠健康问题。 28.细节理解题。由文章第一段“People whose jobs are highly sedentary — an estimated 80% of the modern workforce — experience a much higher risk of insomnia symptoms, according to a new study led by University of South Florida psychologist Claire Smith. (根据南佛罗里达大学心理学家克莱尔・史密斯牵头的一项新研究,那些工作时久坐不动的人 —— 据估计占现代劳动力的 80%—— 出现失眠症状的风险要高得多。)”可知,这项研究重点关注的是久坐不动的工作与失眠症状之间的联系。故选C。 29.细节理解题。由文章第四段中“Meanwhile, employees with nontraditional schedules, such as working night shifts, were more likely to fall into the catch-up sleeper group. (与此同时,工作时间不规律(如值夜班)的员工更有可能属于补觉者这一群体。)”和第五段“Smith said the research suggests that moving your body during the workday and limiting after-hours work may not just help you sleep well that night but protect against ongoing sleep problems a decade later. (史密斯表示,这项研究表明,在工作日活动一下身体,以及限制下班后的工作,可能不仅有助于你当晚睡个好觉,还能在十年后预防持续存在的睡眠问题。)”可知,经常加班的人最有可能出现类似失眠的症状。故选B。 30.词句猜测题。由文章第六段中“The study also shows that workers who fall into a pattern of poor sleep due to their job design, such as long hours of sedentary work or erratic schedules, may end up stuck in such unhealthy patterns for years. (研究还显示,那些由于工作设计(比如长时间久坐不动或erratic工作时间安排)而陷入睡眠不佳模式的员工,可能会在数年时间里一直困在这种不健康的模式中。)”可知,此处指由于工作设计而陷入不良睡眠模式的工人,除了长时间久坐工作外,还有“不规律的日程安排”也会导致不健康的睡眠模式,故erratic的意思是“不规律的”与Irregular“不规律的”意思相符。故选C。 31.细节理解题。由文章最后一段“She added that the findings suggest redesigning jobs with sleep health in mind could be key to improving worker well-being and underscore the need for workplace interventions that consider sleep health as a dynamic, multifaceted issue, rather than a one-size-fits-all problem. (她补充说,这些研究结果表明,在重新设计工作时考虑到睡眠健康,可能是提升员工幸福感的关键,并且强调了工作场所干预措施的必要性,即要将睡眠健康视为一个动态的、多方面的问题,而不是采用一刀切的方式来处理。)”可知,史密斯建议雇主和雇员在重新设计工作时要考虑睡眠健康。故选C。 D When I challenged myself to travel by low-carbon routes during the writing of my book, I experienced the best and worst of our transit network. When public transport works, it really works. I found traveling by train and bike empowering. But even in this time of climate emergency, public transport still remains an unpopular choice. It doesn’t take many strikes, cancellations, missed connections and rising ticket prices to avoid it altogether. When the average British person already spends around £ 3,500 a year on car costs, it’s no wonder we prefer the driver’s seat. Yet, there are many reasons we should be using public transport more, with one being the bonus to the environment they bring. Recent research shows that UK trains have higher carbon savings than previously thought. For my Scottish journey, had I traveled a similar route from London to Edinburgh by car, my journey’s emissions would supposedly have increased 10-fold. E-bike rental schemes have also increased across the UK, and so has cycling in general, but this mode of transport isn’t always planned for. All over the country, dedicated (专用的) bike lanes are way too rare. All of this has revealed to me that while the UK’s transport infrastructure (基础设施) is poor, its potential is significant. We know how effective electrified rail routes can be in decarbonization, but in 2021-22 little more than a mile of such track was upgraded across Britain. Centrally funded investment could change things. The rest of Europe seems to recognize this. If I were in Austria, I could travel across Vienna by public transport for €l a day. In Germany, I could organize a monthly €49 direct debit for all-inclusive regional public transport. Closer to home, Brighton and Hove have the most popular bus network outside London. We must demand a nationalized low-carbon network, A standardized, centrally funded consistently supported ecosystem of public transport across the UK could truly change our carbon game. 32.What does the underlined word “empowering” in paragraph 1 most probably mean? A.Sparking debate. B.Causing confusion. C.Giving strength or confidence. D.Leading to complaints and protests. 33.What is the problem with implementing e-bike rental schemes? A.High rental fees. B.Potential safety problems. C.Lack of public interest. D.Insufficient infrastructure 34.Why does the author mention Austria and Germany? A.To compare the costs of public transport. B.To predict the challenges of UK’s public transport. C.To contrast with the state of UK’s public transportation. D.To illustrate the popularity of public transport in Europe 35.What can be the best title for the passage? A.Transforming carbon game: The Eco-Boost on Rails. B.Revolutionizing UK Transport: The Green Ride Ahead. C.Empowering Global travelling: A Long March on Land. D.Revolutionizing UK City Life: The Tech Leap on Tracks. 【答案】32.C 33.D 34.C 35.B 【导语】本文是一篇说明文。文章主要讨论了英国公共交通的现状、问题以及改进的可能性,并呼吁建立国家化的低碳公共交通网络。 32.词句猜测题。根据上文“When I challenged myself to travel by low-carbon routes during the writing of my book, I experienced the best and worst of our transit network. When public transport works, it really works. (在写书期间,我给自己设定了一个挑战,即通过低碳出行方式旅行,这让我亲身体验了我们交通网络的优与劣。当公共交通运行顺畅时,它的表现真的非常出色。)”可知,作者写书时挑战自己使用低碳出行方式,因此可推测作者认为乘坐火车和自行车旅行是积极正面的经历,划线的“empowering”应表示“给予力量或信心”。故选C。 33.细节理解题。根据第四段“All over the country, dedicated (专用的) bike lanes are way too rare. (在全国各地,专用的自行车道太少了。)”可知,实施电动自行车租赁计划存在的问题是基础设施不足。故选D。 34.推理判断题。根据倒数第二段“The rest of Europe seems to recognize this. If I were in Austria, I could travel across Vienna by public transport for €1 a day. In Germany, I could organize a monthly €49 direct debit for all-inclusive regional public transport. Closer to home, Brighton and Hove have the most popular bus network outside London. Research shows that friendships are really important to all of us. Friendship has a huge impact on your mental health since good friends can help relieve stress, provide comfort and joy, and prevent loneliness. 36 Research shows that lack of social connection may increase the risk of heart disease or diabetes. 37 Spending time with friends helps reduce your stress and supports you through tough times. Friendship is a two-way street, so being there for your friends makes you feel needed and contributes to your own sense of self-worth. A good friend will show a genuine interest in what's going on in your life and how you think and feel. 38 As friendship works both ways, a friend is also someone you feel comfortable supporting and accepting, and someone who will listen to you and with whom you can share trust and loyalty. If you are introverted (内向的) or shy, it can feel uncomfortable to put yourself out there socially. But you don’t have to be naturally outgoing to make new friends. 39 You'll make far more friends by showing your interest rather than trying to get people interested in you. Making a new friend is just the beginning of the journey. Friendships take time to build and deepen. Be reliable, trustworthy, and willing to share yourself and your time. 40 Everyone needs time to be alone or spend time with other people as well. Finally, be forgiving. No friendship develops smoothly so try to find a way to overcome problems. A.Stress is harmful for mental health. B.But do not forget to give your friends space. My days are a series of classes and homework, leaving little room for anything else. I’ve always believed that my academic pursuits are the only things that matter, and household duties are a waste of precious study time. My parents, on the other hand, believe in the importance of contributing to the household. “Jack, ” my mother would say, “education is important, but so are life skills. ” I’d nod, but deep in my heart, I couldn’t care less. One day, as I was buried in my books, my mother fell ill. She was very weak, and the house quickly turned into a mess. My father, a busy lawyer, could hardly manage his work and the house at the same time. I watched as the dishes piled up in the sink, and the laundry overflowed from the basket. It was chaos, and for the first time, I felt guilty. “Jack, ” my father said, his voice heavy with worry, “we need your help. ” I looked at him, then at the mountain of books, and sighed. I had no choice but to put my studies on hold. Cleaning wasn’t as simple as I thought. I struggled with the dishes, and the laundry machine seemed to have a mind of its own. I was sad, and my thoughts kept drifting (飘移) back to my unfinished math problems. “Why can’t I just focus on my studies?” I whispered to myself. As I wiped the kitchen counter, I overheard my parents talking. “He’ll understand one day, ” my mother said weakly. My father replied, “He’s got to learn that life isn’t just about books. ” Their words touched me emotionally. I paused, the cloth in my hand, and considered their words. 注意: 1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Over the next few days, as I continued to help with the chores, I began to see things differently. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ As my mother recovered and the house returned to its usual order, I found a new balance. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】    Over the next few days, as I continued to help with the chores, I began to see things differently. At first, my hands trembled while chopping vegetables, and I burned toast repeatedly. But gradually, I learned to finish tasks efficiently according to recipes and time. Surprisingly, organizing chores taught me focus. One evening, as I prepared a simple dinner, my father smiled, “Your mother would be proud.” His words warmed me. I realized chores weren’t only duties, but also they were acts of care. Even studying became lighter after tidying my desk. Life skills can shape my independence like hidden tools. As my mother recovered and the house returned to its usual order, I found a new balance. I created a schedule allocating specific hours for both homework and chores. When Mom praised my perfectly folded shirts, I grinned, feeling a pride I’d never gotten from straight A’s. Now, I study with sharper focus, knowing that a tidy desk and a calm mind go hand in hand. Even after Mom took back most chores, I still volunteer to cook weekends. I learned that a balanced life between study and chores was the key to a fulfilling and successful life. 词汇激活 行为类 ①完成:finish/complete ②意识到:realize (that)/be aware that ③赞扬:praise/speak highly of 情绪类 ①令人惊讶的是:surprisingly/to one’s surprise/amazingly ②微笑:smile/crack a smile 【点睛】[高分句型1]. C People whose jobs are highly sedentary (久坐不动的) — an estimated 80% of the modern workforce — experience a much higher risk of insomnia (失眠) symptoms, according to a new study led by University of South Florida psychologist Claire Smith. D When I challenged myself to travel by low-carbon routes during the writing of my book, I experienced the best and worst of our transit network. 第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Research shows that friendships are really important to all of us. C.You can show your true self on social media. D.She or he will accept you and listen to you attentively. E.The key to connecting with others is by showing interest in therm. F.Close friendships also have a powerful impact on your physical health. G.While developing friendships takes time, healthy friendships benefit a lot. 第二部分 语言运用(共两节,满分30分) 第一节 (共15小题;每小题1分,满分15分) 阅读下面短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。 Last winter, I visited my friend in northern China. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试卷第1页,共3页 试卷第1页,共3页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$听力考试正式开始。I've heard you enjoyed a good trip around europe last year. My interest in the language was due to the passion of our eric lectur, and as the course progressed, my interest in the culture also grew. With that, I considered studying in the middle east, but ultimately decided on caro due to its energetic cultural scene. However, in the city, we faced some chAllenges, including difficulties finding a hotel and accommodation as we were a group of unmarried individuals. Once settled, the culture shock was intense for some of us. One member of our group returned home within the first week. Luckily, I became accustom to the life in caro. Gradually, the biggest chAllenge of learning arabic is the disconnection between the written and the spoken forms. Despite these chAllenges, learning arab C, C has been a rewarding experience, including absorbing my self in the culture and getting to know the locals, and even negotiating at a local market. Highlights were being invited to a traditional arabic meal at one of the locals home and being able to confidently communicate. Overall, this experience was outside of my comfort zone and allowed me to learn and grow in interesting ways I encourage others to consider involving themselves in new cultures and languages. Want to have a safe and fun trip exploring on your own? Then you’re in the right place! Now, let’s explore something you need to learn about solo travel to Greece. Is Solo Travel in Greece Worth It? Yes! The country offers an experience that is perfect for solo travel. Public transport is convenient, especially between popular islands and main cities. The locals are friendly and often go out of their way to help tourists. Cultural sites like the Acropolis in Athens and the ancient ruins in Delphi are well-organized, making it easy to explore. Where Is Greece? Located in southeastern Europe, at the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa, Greece is most famous for its coastlines. The mainland offers rugged (崎岖的) mountains, ancient ruins (古代遗迹) and cities like Athens. Then you have the islands, which are divided into groups like the Cyclades, Ionian, Dodecanese and more. Each has its own beauty. Personally, I recommend adding a Cyclades island adventure to your journey. Getting To Greece Getting to Greece is easy, with most solo trips to Greece starting in Athens. Once you land in Athens Airport, flights to other cities and islands are frequent, especially booked in advance. If you are heading straight into Athens, use the subway and take the 40-minute trip to start your solo travel in Athens. Best Time to Take a Solo Greece Trip When it comes to the best time for solo travel to Greece, it really depends. The high season (June to September) offers the best weather but also comes with crowds and higher prices. Come just after the rush (October and November) and it will be perfect. It will be warm enough for solo beach days but not too crowded. 21.What is Greece best known for according to the passage? A.Coastlines. B.Islands. C.Ancient ruins. D.Beaches. 22.When can you come to Greece without too much crowds? A.In July. B.In August. C.In September. D.In October. 23.What is the purpose of the text? A.To educate. B.To introduce. C.To honor. D.To remember. B Nature was Chen Rui’s “childhood home”. C People whose jobs are highly sedentary (久坐不动的) — an estimated 80% of the modern workforce — experience a much higher risk of insomnia (失眠) symptoms, according to a new study led by University of South Florida psychologist Claire Smith. D When I challenged myself to travel by low-carbon routes during the writing of my book, I experienced the best and worst of our transit network. 第二节 (共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。 Research shows that friendships are really important to all of us. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 试题 第11页(共12页) 试题 第12页(共12页) 试题 第9页(共12页) 试题 第10页(共12页) 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
