There is always a discussion about whether parents should let their kids do chores at home or not. In my opinion, parents should let their kids do some chores.
The most important reason is that doing chores will teach kids a lot of life skills. They need to understand how to clean, how to cook, how to shop and so on. It is very beneficial for kids to learn these skills. When they grow up and have a family, they can know how to build a better home.
Kids will feel proud (自豪) about their achievements (成就). Helping parents clean the house can really give them this kind of feeling. When kids do chores well, their parents will also say some nice words to them. It will make them happier and they may want to do more chores.
Parents should give kids something to do at home. It can help kids be a responsible (负责任的) person in life. They will see the good side of keeping things clean and tidy, and they will also be thankful for everything parents do for them.
