   In the town of Qiantong in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, there is a team of young lion dancers. The lion dance team is mainly made of primary school students from the town. During the Spring Festival this year,they gave a wonderful performance and caught lots of people's attention.

   Tong Panfeng, the children's coach, was born and grew up in Qiantong. He had a great passion for the traditional performance. In1993, Tong, then 26, began to be greatly interested in the traditional art of lion dance after knowing that his grandpa used to be a lion dancer. Then he decided to restore this amazing tradition. In 2015, Tong traveled to many places such as Shandong, Anhui and Guangxi to visit the lion dancers and learn about the art.

   After returning to his hometown, Tong started to promote the traditional art. However, he found it was difficult to do it alone. So he decided to get more people to join him. He began to teach children in a primary school to do the lion dance as an after-school activity. From then on, groups of young boys and girls could often be seen practicing for hours during the weekends.
