As part of this year's Diversity Arts Series, students at Dulwich College had an innovative journey into the tradition of Peking Opera.
Together with Yuyin Society, a famous Peking Opera company in China, the school planned three different activities—an online Peking Opera experience; a day tour of Yuyinge, a theatre built in the Qing Dynasty; and a twoday inperson Peking Opera workshop.These activities brought a rich, interdisciplinary (跨学科的) learning experience to the students:music, art, drama, Mandarin and, of course, an awareness of Chinese cultural history.
