活动主题:该板块的主题是“描述喜欢的地方" ( Descrice a place that you like )。该板块从一个旅行者的角度,描绘爱尔兰时的美丽景色和风土人情。爱尔兰乡村以景色优美清新、颇具历史文化特色而著称,这段描写与前面对英国伦敦等城市的历史文化景点介绍相得益彰,较为完整地刻画出将历史与现代、城市与乡村和谐地融为体的欧洲文化特色。在随后的写作活动中,学生通过描写自己熟悉的、有趣的、令人兴奋或惊讶的地点,反思和探索国内、尤其是身边景点的历史文化价值,挖掘并了解其相关历史文化传统,同时表达自己的感受和情感。

活动设计:该板块设计了五个活动,前两个活动为阅读理解活动,属于语言输入阶段;后三个活动为写作活动,属于语言输出阶段,体现了输入与输出的有机结合。活动1考查学生对文本大意及主要细节的理解。活动2引导学生分析文本的组织结构和语言表达,关注与感官感受相关联的用词与表达,为他们在接下来的写作中丰富自己的语言提供帮助与支撑。活动3是整个写作部分的关键。学生可以参照教科书上给出的写作框架、提示和语言示例完成初稿。框架从如何开头、如何完成主体、如何收尾三个方面,分别给出写作提示与建议,如开头要引人人胜(make the reader eager to readyour wting);主体部分要做好衔接( tansitions ),生动地刻画细节井举例( details and xampls );结尾要自然,并且要给读者留下深刻印象(help the reader remember your wing)等。相应的语言示例也非常具体实用,如在主体部分给出了时空、逻辑顺序的常见表达方式等。活动3和4整体呈现了写作活动的基本流程。活动5是作品展示。

本课程的教学对象是高一年级的学生,他们已经具备了一定的英语基础和阅读能力,但对于爱尔兰的了解可能比较有限。因此,在教学过程中,我将注重引导学生通过阅读和观察图片来获取信息,提高他们的阅读理解和思维能力。
