A. School rules and students' opinions on them.
B. How to follow school rules.
C. The importance of school uniforms.
D. The bad effects of breaking school rules.
16. 答案:B
解析:根据文中“Running in the hallways is not allowed because it may cause accidents.” A选项“Because it's not allowed by teachers.”(因为这是老师不允许的),没有说明根本原因;C选项“Because it's not a school rule.”(因为这不是学校规则),与原文不符,在走廊跑是不被允许的学校规则;D选项“Because it's too noisy.”(因为太吵了),文中未提及。B选项“Because it may cause accidents.”
17. 答案:C
解析:由文中“However, a few students find some rules too strict. They feel that wearing the same uniform every day limits their self - expression.” A选项“They think it's helpful.”(他们认为这是有帮助的),这是一些学生对规则整体的看法,不是对穿校服的看法;B选项“They think it keeps the school clean.”(他们认为这能保持学校干净),这是不在教室吃东西的规则带来的好处,不是穿校服的作用;D选项“They think it makes them look good.”(他们认为这让他们看起来很好),文中未提及。C选项“They think it limits their self - expression.”
18. 答案:C

Instead, they had to turn them off and keep them in the lockers.” A选项“Bring it to class and use it secretly.”(把它带到课堂上并偷偷使用),与原文不能带手机进课堂不符;B选项“Keep it in his bag in class.”(在课堂上把它放在书包里),不符合原文要求;D选项“Leave it at home.”(把它留在家里),文中说的是放在储物柜,不是留在家里。C选项“Turn it off and keep it in the locker.”
26. 答案:B
解析:根据“Tom thought these rules were a bit different from what he was used to, but he decided to follow them.” A选项“He thought they were the same as before.”(他认为它们和以前一样),与原文不同;C选项“He thought they were too strict and didn't want to follow them.”(他认为它们太严格了,不想遵守),他决定遵守规则,所以该选项错误;D选项“He thought they were useless.”(他认为它们没用),文中未提及。B选项“He thought they were a bit different but decided to follow them.”
27. 答案:B
解析:由“He knew that following the rules was important for a good school life. And he wanted to get along well with his classmates and teachers.” A选项“Because he was afraid of teachers.”(因为他害怕老师),文中未提及;C选项“Because his parents asked him to.”(因为他的父母让他这么做),原文没有提到;D选项“Because all the other students followed them.”(因为其他所有学生都遵守它们),也不是他遵守规则的原因。B选项“Because he wanted a good school life and to get along well with others.”

In our school, there 43.____ (be) a lot of rules. Students must 44.____ (arrive) at school on time. 45.____ (run) in the hallways is not allowed because it 46.____ (may) cause accidents. Teachers always remind us 51.____ (follow) the rules. We 52.____ (not can) break them easily.
43. 答案:are
解析:此句为there be句型,主语“a lot of rules”(许多规则)是复数形式,根据there be句型中be动词与主语保持一致的原则,且句子时态为一般现在时,所以be动词用are。
45. 答案:Running
46. 答案:may
48. 答案:should
49. 答案:are
解析:“Some students think these rules ____ (be) too strict”中,“these rules”(这些规则)是复数形式,句子时态为一般现在时,所以be动词用are。
50. 答案:need
解析:“but they ____ (need) to understand that rules help create a good learning environment”中,“need to do sth.”
51. 答案:to follow
解析:“remind sb. to do sth.”是固定短语,意为“提醒某人做某事”,所以“Teachers always remind us ____ (follow) the rules.”
52. 答案:can't
解析:“can”是情态动词,其否定形式是“can't”,“We ____ (not can) break them easily.”

Recently, our class had a discussion about school rules.
Most students believe that school rules are of great importance. They help maintain order and create a good learning environment. Rules also assist students in forming good habits. For example, arriving at school on time and keeping the classroom clean are required by the rules.
However, a small number of students hold different opinions. They think some rules are too strict and limit their freedom. Wearing the school uniform every day and being forbidden to use mobile phones are two cases in point.
In my view, school rules are necessary. Although some rules seem tough, they are beneficial to our growth. We can communicate with teachers if we have suggestions on improving the rules. After all, a balance between rules and freedom is what we should strive for.
