Students can understand the main idea of the dialogue and they can master some key words chocolate, orange juice, ice cream, hot dog, hamburger, cola, café. 2. Students can improve their ability to listen. 3. Students can arouse they are interested in learning English and they can express themselves more fluently. 4. Students can develop a good habit of communication in English and their awareness of cooperation could be stimulated by group work. Teaching key points and different points. 1. Teaching key points. Students can get the main idea of this dialogue and they can improve their listening ability. 2. Teaching difficult points. Hands students’ ability to express relevant contexts based on recordings. Teaching methods. Communicative teaching method, Task-based teaching method, Situational teaching method. Teaching Procedure. Warm up and lead in. 1. Greeting. 2. After greeting students’, the teacher will show students some pictures, then ask students do you ever eat lunch or dinner at a café? Pre-Listening 1. Ask students to review some words they have learned before. Such as sandwich, hamburger, chips, Pizza, Hot dog, salad, cake, ice cream, juice, cola, milk, coffee, menu etc. 2. Let the students have a free talk about Do you ever eat lunch or dinner at a restaurant? What would you like to order? While Listening 1. Extensive listening: Ask students to listen to the dialogue fist time and ask what do they order? Listen and match on page 31. One option is extra. Mum Sam Dad 2. Intensive listening.: Ask students to listen to the dialogue again and answer the following questions. Is their food healthy? Whose order is unhealthy? Why? Post Listening Group task In groups, role-play a family ordering at a café. Summary. Students summarize, teacher gives supplement timely. Homework. Blackboard design.
