Involution has become a popular word these days. But what does it really mean?
In our daily life, we can see involution everywhere. For example, in a school, students study harder and harder. They not only have to finish a lot of homework but also take many extra classes after school. They all want to get better grades than others. Everyone is trying to do more and be better, just like in a race where no one wants to fall behind. This is involution.
Another example is in the business world. Many companies make similar products. They try to lower the price and spend a lot on advertising to attract more customers. They compete with each other in a very intense (激烈的) way.
Workers in these companies may also have to work longer hours to make more products or provide better services.
Involution makes people feel tired and stressed. People seem to have no other choice but to keep up with others. However, we should also think about how to get out of this situation. Maybe we can focus on our own interests and do things in a more relaxed and creative way. Instead of just following others blindly, we can find our own path and enjoy the process of learning and growing. Don’t let involution control our lives but try to make a better and more enjoyable world for ourselves.
4. In the school example, why do students take many extra classes?
A. Because they have nothing else to do. B. Because they want to make more friends.
C. Because they hope to get better grades than others. D. Because their parents force them to.
5. According to Paragraph 3, which is NOT true?
A. Many companies make different and unique products.
B. Many companies compete in price and advertising.
C. Workers may need to work longer hours.
D. There is intense competition among companies.
6. According to the passage, which of the following statements isn’t involution?
A. Students have to take many after-school classes.
B. Some people volunteer to work overtime without pay.
C. Basketball players compete with others in a basketball match fiercely.
D. Hotels keep adding service to attract more customers.
7. What suggestion does the author give to deal with involution?
A. To focus on personal interests and be creative. B. To continue to work harder like others.
C. To give up and do nothing. D. To ask the government for help.

As we continue to explore and study the Sanxingdui Ruins, we are reminded of the importance of protecting our cultural heritage. These ancient artifacts are a link to our past, a window into a world long gone but still full of wonder and inspiration.

One sunny morning, as Tim walked into his classroom, he noticed a woman he had never seen before standing near the blackboard. She had a warm smile and kind eyes. Tim couldn’t wait to find out more about their new teacher. The bell rang and all the students took their seats. The new teacher introduced herself as Miss Green. The important thing is to keep trying and believe in yourself.” Her words touching Tim’s heart, he decided to have another try. With Miss Green’s guidance and encouragement, he kept painting and soon created a beautiful picture. From that day forward, Tim realized the power of perseverance and the importance of believing in oneself.
As time went on, Tim and his classmates grew closer to Miss Green, and they decided to plan a surprise for her. They wrote sincere letters expressing their thanks and drew colorful pictures to show how much they appreciated her. They even made a special card filled with memories of their happy time together. On the last day of school, during their final class, Tim and his classmates presented their surprise to Miss Green. With tears of joy filling her eyes, she read the letters and admired the artwork. She hugged each of her students, telling them how proud she was of them.
