单元主题及主要内容分析
本单元的中心话题是节日,而节日与我们的生活密切相关,通过本单元的学习,要求学生能够用英语谈论自己喜欢的节日,并说明为什么。在谈论这个话题的同时,学习并掌握宾语从句。宾语从句在初中教材中是一个很重要的知识点,学好这一单元对后面的学习很有帮助,起着承上启下的作用。在中考中要涉及这方面的内容,而且在阅读理解中也有大量的宾语从句出现,如果不能够很好地掌握它,势必影响学生今后对阅读文章的理解。因此,本单元不仅是本册书的重点,在整个初中教学中,都占着非常重要的地位。
本单元具有浓郁的文化气息,教学内容丰富。学生通过单元的学习,除学会相关的语言知识外,还能学习到涉及中西方节日的文化和风俗习惯。Section A侧重介绍我国的传统节日,学生在学习时,应该重点掌握由that,if/whether引导的宾语从句来表达自己的态度和看法;并且能够使用由how和what引导的感叹句;学会与节日相关的词语(包括节日的名称、与节日相关的专属用词)以及各种描述性词语(形容词及其习惯表达法)等。Section B主要围绕西方的两个节日——Halloween和Christmas来展开,介绍西方国家的节日文化,侧重节日的文化内涵,让学生更深层次地理解西方文化。教师要鼓励学生通过课外阅读、查阅相关书籍、杂志或网络信息了解西方节日文化,一方面可以拓展学生的视野,另一方面也可以节省课堂的时间,同时也便于学生理解听力和阅读中的内容,减轻因背景文化积累不足所带来的学习压力。语言方面,学生要学习与这两个节日相关的专属文化词汇,进一步强化本单元的重点句型结构。技能方面,通过“听说入手→突出阅读→创写语篇”的过程培养学生的综合语言技能;在策略上侧重训练学生对阅读的深层理解,即除了了解语言的表层含义外,还应该培养学生的推断能力,能读懂字里行间的深层含义。文化意识和情感价值观方面,通过阅读语篇探讨圣诞节的含义,讲述吝啬鬼Scrooge发生转变的故事教育学生要懂得:关爱、同情及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富,应当继承和弘扬,要以爱心回报社会。
Section A部分侧重于介绍我国的传统节日, 1a通过对图片的认识,要求学生将图片内容和节日进行匹配,帮助学生认识中国的一些传统节日,了解不同地区的节日,为接下来的听力训练做好铺垫。 1b-1c通过听力训练和口语交流活动,帮助学生更进一步了解传统节日,同时,初步了解由 that和whether引导的宾语从句的基本用法。 2a-2c是听说训练,旨在训练、发展学生的听说能力,使学生体会本单元主题语言及文化内容,建立感性认识。2d是对话交流,学生在更加真实的语言情景中,通过阅读并完成相应的任务、分角色表演等,加深对本课目标语言的理解和巩固,在阅读、会话交流的语言实践过程中,提高综合语言运用能力。3a-3c是阅读教学,重在培养学生的综合语言运用能力,帮助学生形成开放、包容的品格,发展其文化交流的意识与能力,促进其思维发展。 4a-4c属于语法训练,让学生从理性的角度理解、练习和运用本单元的宾语从句句型结构,从而为后面的综合性读写打好基础。4a旨在训练宾语从句和感叹句的造句能力.关注语言结构;4b通过语简让学生在一定的语言环境中学会识别以及运用宾语从句;4c主要训练本单元语法内容的交际性运用。
Section B部分主要围绕西方的两个节日-Halloween和Christmas来展开,la通过观察图片,谈论由图片所想到的内容,引导学生学习所列词汇,理解词义并能够正确朗读,为接下来的听力训练做铺垫。 1b-1c是听力训练,主要通过回答问题和完成句子来训练与Halloween相关的内容。 1d是听力内容的进一步延伸,学生以对话的形式进行训练,使听力信息得到复现,从而培养了学生的合作意识。2a-2e是阅读训练,语篇材料主要探讨圣诞节的含义,讲述了吝啬鬼Scrooge的转变,向学生传达关爱、同情以及怜悯之心是人类社会的宝贵财富,人人应当将之继承及弘扬,以爱心回报社会。2a通过What do you know about Christmas?问题的交流讨论.熟悉圣诞节的基本文化信息,为接下来的阅读做好准备。2b-2d以不同形式进行阅读训练,对“圣诞含义”进行深层理解。2e是阅读后的巩固性训练,开放性较强,要求小组成员根据课文内容发挥合理的想象,合作编对话,并进行角色扮演,旨在训练学生的口语表达能力,引导学生养成积极的学习态度。 3a-3b是写作训练,旨在引导学生通过话题情节引出问题,然后以问题为线索进行联想构思,进而写作。在练习的操作过程中,突出“情节设定”、“问题生成”、“寻员答案”三个环节,帮助学生使用此写作构思技巧以及策略,Self Check部分,活动1为特定语境下的词语运用,目的在于带助学生自我检测对本单元所学词汇的理鲜和学握情况:活动2, 3是对本单元所学句型结构的反馈性检查,前者为感叹句,后者为宾语从句。
我所设计的课时是第二课时(Section A3a-3c),这篇阅读在本单元中起到了承上启下的作用,从语言知识,内容结构及核心素养等方面都为后面的学习打好基础,并且对前面所学的知识进行更深层次的学习,让学生达到巩固的目的。3a为本单元的阅读板块,而本节课阅读提供的是中秋节的相关信息和《嫦娥奔月》的故事由来,通过这篇阅读,一是让学生对文中每个相关人物及情节进行一个了解和复述,另外通过阅读和课堂互动导出对中秋节的节日介绍要点,通过学习,让学生了解文本的同时让学生明白,我们学习英语,不仅是为了交流和学习异国文化,同时我们也要懂得如何用英语介绍本国文化,积极学习和传播我国传统文化,学会沟通和相互理解。在课堂过程中对文本细节的追问,也是为了引发学生思考并运用所学语言表达自己的观点。对开放性问题的追问,引导学生的节日文化和中国文化,整体所用语言表达难度适中。
主题学情分析
一.在知识点的学习和掌握上:
学生在上一课时的学习中,已经对宾语从句的基本引导词 “that” 较为熟悉,所以这个课时中涉及到的基础宾语从句对学生们来说,难度不大。课下学生已经通过对本课时的新单词和短语提前进行了预习和背诵,而且涉及到的单词和短语无论在发音还是拼写以及语法使用上都较为简单,同学们应该都会。文本中涉及到两处难点需让学生进行翻译练习。即,“They carry people’s wishes to the families they love and miss.”and “After this, people start the tradition of admiring the moon and sharing mooncakes with their families.”对于部分学生来说此处可能有难度。当前中考形势下,在文本阅读和理解部分,有意识培养学生根据上下文猜词义的能力,培养学生的逻辑思维。这一点也是学生们平时阅读文本时较薄弱的一个环节,所以此课时中设置了两处猜词义的题目,重点培养和练习。
二. 在语言技能上:
九年级学生在英语基本的听说读写能力上都有了很大的进步。结合文本听力欣赏后,本课时学生在文本自主阅读和朗读上,难度并不大, 他们已经能很好地理解Role-play 和简短话剧表演来进行课文复述这些常见的形式。所以,在本课时的Retell环节学生们可大胆发挥,尽情展示他们的实际语言交流和应用能力。全面提升学生的综合语言运用能力。
三.在情感态度上:
九年级学生已经有很强的爱国情怀,也有较好的国际视野。所以本课时的民间故事学习中,学生既可以回顾中国传统节日,中秋节背后的故事,加深对中国传统文化的喜爱和感悟。
四. 在学习策略上:
九年级学生在自主学习,小组合作和角色扮演以及话剧表演等方法上已经逐步进步。大部分学生可以在老师的任务型教学法的指引下,正确地选择适合自己的学习策略。在本节课中,学生可以通过根据上下文猜测词义,汉英互译,以及Mind-map等方法加深对课文的理解。 五. 在文化意识上:
九年级学生已经有较好的爱国情怀,能对中国传统文化做到尊重,感知和欣赏。也有了一定的国际视野。可以在教师的引导下,加深对中外文化的对比,故而进一步开阔视野,更好的提升自身素质,符合义务教育阶段英语教学的“工具性”和“人文性”的特性。也真正做到了“以人为本”的教育理念。
综上五点,相信同学们在英语学习的各方面都已经取得了扎实的基础,能对本课时内容做到较好的认识。
开放性学习环境
高年级的阅读语篇还特别关注了文学性和经典性,让学生体会文章的内容美和语言美。在阅读活动设计方面,为了体现阅读教学的过程性,设计了独立的阅读板块,主要分为“阅读前”、“阅读中”和“阅读后”三部分。“阅读前”的活动通常围绕阅读主题激活学生的背景知识,引发学生对阅读内容的思考和预测,产生阅读期待。也有一些活动是为了帮助学生解决一些生词障碍,帮助学生顺利理解短文。“阅读中”设计了不同层次的活动或任务,旨在培养学生的阅读策略和技能,比如获取主旨大意、获取细节信息、猜测生词、分析推理、总结归纳、信息转换、语篇分析等。“阅读后”的活动主要让学生结合阅读材料进行拓展性语言训练和运用,包括小组讨论、解决问题、角色扮演、复述课文、读写结合等.阅读和写作在语言使用和语篇特征上有很强的共性,阅读有助于写作。实际上,学生写作能力的发展在很大程度上有赖于阅读能力的发展。因此,在目常教学中,我努力做到把阅读和写作结合起来,在引导学生通过阅读获取信息和处理信息的同时,还要帮助学生通过语篇分析来学习语篇的结构特点以及信息和思想的表现手法。学生阅读能力的提高不能仅仅依赖于教材中有限的课文资源,教师还应为学生选择并提供更多的阅读材料。

目标a:掌握最基本的词汇和句型,学习由 that,if/whether 引导的宾语从句,what和how的感叹句。
目标b:1.学习使用与festivals 话题相关的单词及短语,能够正确运用此话题的目标语言进行初步表达。2.能够针对所听内容进行搜集、处理,利用相关信息进行情景会话,初步运用目标语言谈论有关节日的话题。
目标c:1.能够根据故事情节的发展将相关的事件进行合理排序。2.能够在理解语篇故事的基础上,对故事情节的发展和故事中人们的性格做出合理的推理判断。

新课程核心理念就是参与、合作。通过合作性学习,使学生相互学习,相互帮助。合作精神是培养情感态度的一个重要内容,教师要在教学中特意设计相关活动以培养学生的合作精神。通过这种合作交流,师生互动,学生们在活动中“Learning to know ”“Learning to be”“Learning to live together ”。通过理解本单元所提到的文化背景和相关阅读材料,了解中外部分重要节日的由来和习俗。在参与了本单元的学习和实践活动后,在生活中更加关注中外文化,乐于接受外国的节日和习俗。通过对文化的理解,更好地继承中华民族的传统文化,对外来文化进行兼容并蓄,为我所用。

教学反思(实施后填写)
首先,在教学预热环节。检查学生们对单词的预习和掌握情况。就课堂学生们的反应来看,学生们课下对单词的预习和掌握情况不错。但个别后进生仍然存在单词发音不准确,记忆不牢固的现象。所以在今后英语课堂教学中,继续加强后进生的教育工作,全面关注每一位学生。
其次,在阅读环节中,快速阅读环节,学生们能快速找到答案,进展不错。读中,分段阅读,内容较为简单,所以效果不错。但个别单词发音不够准确,今后课堂教学中应该多多加强发音练习。读后故事复述环节,在读完排序复述环节表现很好。4人一组,话剧表演时,大部分学生表现教好,积极活跃,表现欲枪。故而今后应该多多组织话剧表演,上台汇报成果,既能给学生施展表现的机会,也能通过学生的表现反映出课堂教学真实效果。但由于时间关系,仅邀请一组上台表演,展现不够充分。这一点需要反思总结。
再者,就教学策略来看,任务型教学和分段阅读对初中高年级英语阅读课堂的实现性很大。既能引导学生正确遵循方法阅读学习,也能培养学生猜测词义,获得中心思想,分析具体信息,构画思维导图,话剧表演,故事复述等的综合能力。并且课堂上注重学生的自主学习能力的培养,以及发展小组合作交流的学习方法,有助于提高学生的语言交际和运用能力,符合义务教育阶段英语课程的总体目标。
最后,从课堂评价来看, 义务教育阶段强调评价的多样化,多元化和层次性。注重学生在日常课堂学习中的点滴进步,充分表扬和鼓励学生的过程性评价。在今后的课堂教学中,教师应该采取多样化的评价和鼓励手段,促进学生积极主动地学习,调动积极性,创造更加活跃的课堂学习氛围。

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th of the first month of the lunar calendar. This day is always the first full moon in the new year. Ancient people also called it Shangyuan Festival. Celebrations and traditions on this day began from the Han Dynasty and became popular in the Tang Dynasty.
Watching the red lanterns is one of the main traditions. Lanterns of different shapes and sizes are usually put on trees,or along river banks on show. It is said that sky lanterns were first used by ZhugeKongming to ask for help when he was in trouble. Today,when the lanterns slowly rise into the air,people make wishes.
Another tradition is guessing lantern riddles. The riddles are usually short,wise,and sometimes humorous. The answer to a riddle can be a Chinese character(汉字),a famous person's name,or a place name.
The most important thing is to eat sweet dumplings with different tastes. In northern China,they are called yuanxiao while in southern part they're named tangyuan. Because making sweet dumplings is like a game or an activity,they are usually done happily by a group of friends or family members.

The moon is at its brightest on the 15th day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar (阴历). On this day, people celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. It has been enjoying great popularity all over the country.
In ancient China, that day was a harvest (收获) festival because crops (庄稼) were harvested during that period. It was a time for relaxation and celebration.
Just like Thanksgiving in Western countries, families also try to get together for the Mid-Autumn Festival in China. Usually, no matter how far away or how busy they are, people will try to return home for the celebration.
The Mid-Autumn has its own special food just as other traditional Chinese holidays. People eat moon cakes with fillings such as sugar and eggs. The round shape of the cake makes it look like the full moon. The full moon and moon cakes stand for family reunion (团聚).

语篇研读
本课是一节阅读课,英语阅读作为语言技能的重要组成部分,是语言输入的主要环节之一, 在本单元中占有重要地位。本节课旨在基于阅读教学培养学生的综合语言运用能力,帮助学生形成开放、包容的品格,发展其文化交流的意识与能力,促进其思维发展。从形式上看是阅读,实质上是对本单元基础目标语言的集中输入,同时强调让学生体会目标语言的表意功能;从内容上偏向故事性,而且在让学生体会目标语言的基础上渗透了丰富的文化内容和品德教育,体现了文化的多元性。
学情分析
这个单元的中心话题是talk about the festivals ,九年级的学生对叙述一件事情有了表述时的时间、地点、人物、行为的概念,对一些简单的节日文化也有了解,比如中国的春节、端午节、国外的圣诞节、万圣节,但是都是一些简单的了解,对节日背后的文化了解不深。
本节课主要介绍中秋节,第一段落和第三段落简单讲了月饼和现在如何过中秋,第二段落大段讲述了嫦娥奔月的故事,这个故事学生基本了解大概,但是用英语表述还是有一定困难,尤其文中出现很多学生朗读、表述的难点,在朗读时,文中动词的过去式变化较多,新增词汇的过去式学生掌握还不熟练,shot, drank, steal, flew, laid, desserts, 等,在这一课时前已经抽出时间进行了朗读的适应,会帮助学生减少难度。
初三学生现在面临中考,压力比较大,这个年龄段也不太愿意在课堂上主动表达自己,而且初三英语学习已经出现了非常明显的分层,很多同学一看到稍长的英语句子就抗拒,本节课通过把人物提炼出来,提炼关键动词等形式让学生进行大量的口头训练,提高学生课堂表达的能力,为他们提供相互合作的机会来组织英语。
需要注意的是相对比七八年级来说,学生在课堂上使用句子的意识还是强了很多,虽然还是错误不少,作为老师一定要继续坚持,学生出错是正常的,但是一定要张开嘴巴说出来,尤其是关注中下游学生,多给他们机会,学困生能在其他同学的帮助下说一句话也是好的。

全体学生能理会故事嫦娥奔月的基本意思,利用文中每个人物的关键动词复述每个人物的行为。进而通过分别复述、时间排序、组内活动等方式能够对这个故事用自己的语言组织复述。为了突破难点,我通过前期导入、中期复述、后面的开放回答,学生对中秋节的介绍点有一个简单的思维导图了解,并课后借助思维导图完成介绍任务。
教学方法
1、教法:采取“任务型”教学法。教师根据本节课内容,安排合适的任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中达到本节课所拟定的目标。此外,还有多媒体教学会和情景交际法。
2、学法:任务型。让学生通过完成课前找资料、上课积极参与、讨论,课后进行巩固和迁移等任务,来达到拟定的目标。
对于宾语从句的学习,应该重点关注宾语从句的语序和时态,对于感叹句的学习,着重于对how和what所引导感叹句的基本结构的掌握,在教学过程中尽可能引导学生在更加真实的语言环境中体验、交流、实践运用,同时,多关注学生对节日话题的情感态度。在教学过程中,教师要多创设一些贴近生活实际的情景,引导学生从听、说、读、写等各个方面,关注中国节日的习俗,学生使用目标语言表达观点,有意识地积累有关festivals话题的表达句式,最终达到结合实际生活灵活运用语言的目标,提高综合语言的运用能力。

作为一名英语教师,为了更好地适应新的教学改革,要不断更新自己的教学理念,提高自己的教育教学水平。我知道了要防止强调模仿、死记硬背、机械操练的教学倾向,重视科学地设计教学过程,努力创设真实的问题情境,营造启动学生思维的教学环境,为学生提供丰富的学习资源,帮助学生通过各种渠道获取知识,加速知识的内化过程,使他们能够在听、说、读、写等语言交际活动中灵活运用知识,变语言知识为英语交际的工具。因此,在本节课中,我很好的实施了这一方案。
一、导入要新颖。
俗话说:“良好的开端是成功的一半”。上课也一样。教师的循循诱导,能让学生产生强烈的求知欲和好奇心,从而更积极主动地参加课堂教学,为整节课的成功做好了准备。本节课,我直奔主题,就中秋节这一节日设计了若干问题,让同学们讨论,激发了他们想要从本节课中去探索中秋节更多的背景知识。
二、创设情景,多用直观教学。
由于初中学生年龄较小,生活经验不丰富,知识范围有限,决定了他们对直观、新颖、有趣的材料容易理解和接受。作为一个初中英语教师表情要丰富,如果表情呆滞,语言平淡,学生就不能全身心投入学习中。所以在课堂上,我变换自己的语音语调,用丰富的表情,把他们带入了故事中,此外,在制作板书的教具时,我让学生和我一起动手画、动手做。当他们的作品被运用在课堂上时,学生们都很兴奋。这样使学生体会到成功的喜悦也激发了学英语的兴趣。
三、鼓励学生学会合作,对学生进行有效的评价。
英语是一门实践性、操作性很强的学科,新课程核心理念就是参与、合作。通过合作性学习,使学生相互学习,相互帮助。合作精神是培养情感态度的一个重要内容,教师要在教学中特意设计相关活动以培养学生的合作精神。在合作内容上,多给他们创造的空间;在合作形式上,讲求变化。把不同层次不同风格的学生分成一组,让他们自己选出组长。在组长的带领下,进行预习、学习、复习、巩固,还可以做一些和学习有关的游戏,然后把结果由组长整理归纳后呈现给老师,老师再与学生们一起共同学习、操练,通过这种合作交流,师生互动,学生们在活动中“Learning to know ”“Learning to be”“Learning to live together ”.
评价可以使学生认识自我,树立自信,有助于反思及调整自己的学习过程,对学生回答学习过程中的表现进行及时的评价,如有口头评价、等级评价、学生之间互相评价等方法,充分发觉学生的进步,鼓励学生自我反思,自我提高,以学生综合运用能力为目标,侧重于学生理解和获取信息,通过评价学生学会分析自己的成绩和不足,明确努力方向。

一.在语言能力方面,
同学们已经对宾语从句的基本引导词 “that” 掌握较好,课下学生已经通过对本课时的新单词和短语提前进行了预习和背诵,而且涉及到的单词和短语无论在发音还是拼写以及语法使用上都较为简单,同学们课堂上表现很好。当前形势下,在文本阅读和理解部分,他们可以根据上下文猜楚词义。
二. 在思维品质方面:
九年级学生在英语基本的听说读写能力上都有了很大的进步,可以用英语思维,并且可以进行批判性思考。 他们已经能很好地理解Role-play 和简短话剧表演来进行课文复述这些常见的形式。他们已经有很强的爱国情怀,也有较好的国际视野。本单元的学习让学生既回顾中国传统节日,中秋节背后的故事,也加深了对中国传统文化的喜爱和感悟。
三. 在学习能力上:
他们已经能做到自主学习,小组合作和角色扮演以及话剧表演等方法上已经逐步进步。大部分学生可以在老师的任务型教学法的指引下,正确地选择适合自己的学习策略。在本单元中,学生可以通过根据上下文猜测词义,汉英互译,以及Mind-map等方法加深对课文的理解。 四. 在文化意识上:
他们已经有了较好的爱国情怀,能对中国传统文化做到尊重,感知和欣赏;也有了一定的国际视野。可以在教师的引导下,加深对中外文化的对比,故而进一步开阔视野,更好的提升自身素质,符合义务教育阶段英语教学的“工具性”和“人文性”的特性。
