◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet students and review the key words and phrases about hometown and places of interest.
2.Show some pictures of different hometowns and ask students to describe what they see and what makes each hometown special.
Step 2 Work on A
1.Ask students to read Daniel’s plan for the exchange students in Beijing and answer the questions: “The exchange students want to enjoy some lake views.Where can they go?” “Which of these places do you think is the most interesting? Why?”
2.After reading,check the answers together and ask students to explain their answers in English.
Step 3 Work on B
1.Listen to the tour guide’s introduction of the Palace Museum and ask students to complete the table while listening.
2.Play the recording for a second time.Correct the answers.
3.Ask students to listen to the recording again and imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
Step 4 Work on C
1.Ask students to listen to the conversation between Daniel and Ben about Brighton and answer the questions:“What places of interest are there in Brighton?” “What’s Ben’s favourite place in Brighton?”
2.Check the answers and explain the language points in the conversation.
3.Ask students to work in pairs and discuss what they see and do in their hometown.Use the conversation in C as a model.
4.Invite some pairs to show their conversations.
Step 5 Work on D
1.Work on D1
(1)Ask students to look at Ben’s outline of his article about Brighton and complete the table about their hometown with their own information.
(2)After completion,ask some students to share their tables with the class.
2.Work on D2
(1)Ask students to listen to Ben’s article about Brighton carefully and underline the useful expressions and sentence structures.
(2)Discuss these expressions and structures with the students and explain how to use them.
3.Work on D3
(1)Ask students to write an article about their hometown based on their information in D1.Use Ben’s article as a model.
(2)Leave students several minutes to do this task individually.
(3)After finishing,let students read each other’s article and then give suggestions.
◇教学反思◇
通过本节课的整合训练,学生能够较好地运用所学知识进行听说读写活动,但在写作过程中,部分学生的文章内容不够具体,语言表达不够生动。在今后的教学中,应加强写作指导,提供更多的写作素材和范文,引导学生进行细节描写和情感表达。
