◇教学过程◇
Step 1 Leading in
Greet the class and introduce the topic of happiness by asking students simple questions like “Are you happy today?What makes you happy?”
Step 2 Work on Activity 1
1.Ask students to read the poem “Holidays and having fun” silently and then answer the questions about its theme and special features.
2.Encourage students to discuss their understanding of the poem in pairs and share their thoughts with the class.
Step 3 Work on Activity 2
1.Present the picture related to happiness and ask students to observe carefully and answer the questions about what they can see and what stories they can imagine.
2.Guide students to have a group discussion about the happiness stories they know and how those stories relate to the picture.
Step 4 Share and talk
1.Pose more in⁃depth questions for students to discuss,such as “What do you think is the most important factor in happiness?Can money buy happiness?”
2.Summarise students’ ideas and emphasise the diversity of happiness.
