By the end of this period,students will be able to:
1.talk about activities in different camps and the reasons for choosing a camp.
2.identify the useful patterns and expressions from the listening text.
3.express their own ideas on the given topic by using the language in the listening text.

1.Obtain the key information of the listening text and developtheir international view.
2.Learn and use the expressions about the future plans and intentions to plan a camp.

Step I Lead-in
1. Introduce some background information about camps.
Over the years, some camps have become more popular. Now there are summer camps dedicated to different kinds of sports, to chess,to classical music,to science,to robotics,to theatre,you name it.
2. Show some pictures of Adventure Camp and International Youth Camp and talk about the activities in the camps.
T:Class,look at the pictures. What can you see in the first picture?
S1:There is a young man in a forest with a sleeping bag and a rucksack.
T:Can you guess what camp it is?
S2:Perhaps it is about camping in the wild.
T:What activities will be included in the camp?
S3:In the camp people will learn how to live in the wild.
3. Ask students to share their camp experiences and the reasons for choosing the camp.
T:Which camp did you ever take part in?
S1:I went to Language Camp last year.
T:Why did you choose to take part in the camp?
S1:Because I want to improve my spoken English and learn how to communicate with others in simple English.

Max: learn survival skills. For example, learn how to make a fire. some experts there to show us how to live in the wild. I think be fun.
Cao Jing:Cool.
Max:What about you?
Cao Jing: an International Youth Camp. lots of students from different countries.
Max:Wow! What will you do there?
Cao Jing: I'm not sure yet,but the topic is about teenagers and teenage life. give a speech about student life in China.
Max:Sounds interesting. What kind of stuff will you talk about?
Cao Jing: Oh, teenage life, you know,study,relationships,dreams,plans... It's a bit of challenge, but a good chance. improve my spoken English.

教学反思
本节课的主题是“为青少年策划一项营地活动”,由听和说两部分组成。课堂上先从学生参加营地活动的自身经历出发,自然地导出听力话题-探险营和国际青年营。第一遍听的目的是让学生找出文中主人公各自要参加的营地活动,了解对话的主题。第二遍听要求学生提取关键信息,找出营地要进行的活动,了解对话内容。第三遍的精听要求学生写出表达未来打算或计划的词块,为后续的口语表达提供语言积累。口语表达环节除了从听力中找出的表达未来打算或计划的词块,还让学生回想其他类似的表达,为最后的制定营地计划这一环节提供内容和语言支架。
本节课的不足之处:
1.第三遍精听环节问题的设置有一定的难度,部分学生速度跟不上,没有填完所有的空。
2.最后的口语表达环节,学生组织语篇的能力欠缺,上下文不够流畅。
改进措施:
1.设置问题应考虑各个层次水平的学生,难度适中,激发学生的学习热情。
2.平时重视口语表达的积累,课堂上鼓励学生积极表达,并留出足够的课堂时间让他们展示。
