1.自主预习教材Page 30~31的新单词和短语,掌握词形及汉语意思。做到重点词汇能正确发音,明确其用法,着重记忆。
2.预读2b的短文,了解文章主题,搜集相关资料。
二、预习检测
根据首字母及汉语提示补全单词
1.Are you crazy (疯狂的) about riding to Xizang?
2.Learning English is good for your development (发展) in the future.
3.I think it’s not right to compare (比较) our kids with others’.
4.They have to learn some skills (技巧) so that they can find jobs in the future.
5.I continued (继续) doing my homework after supper.
课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
Teacher:As we all know,Chinese children are sometimes busier on weekends than weekdays,because they have to take so many after⁃school classes.What after⁃school activities do you usually do?Please discuss with your partner.
Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Let the students check the after⁃school activities they do.
2.Ask the students to share their own choices with partners and tell the reasons.
3.Get three students to present their choices and reasons.
Step 3 Work on 2b-2d
1.Ask the students to scan the article and underline the words or phrases they don’t know,especially the words marked specially.Let them try to guess their meanings and match them with the meanings in 2c.Students can discuss with their classmates or look them up in the dictionary.
2.Check the answers in 2c with the whole class.
3.Ask the students to read the article carefully and answer the questions:
(1)What is the common problem for Chinese and American families?
(2)Who gives opinions about the problem?
4.Check the answers with the whole class.
5.Get the students to read the article aloud and express their opinions.
6.Lead the students to learn the article sentence by sentence and summarize its main contents.
7.Have the students read the article for a third time and answer the questions in 2d.
8.Invite some students to share their answers.
Step 4 Work on 2e
1.Ask the students to discuss the questions with their partners.
2.Let some students share their answers to the class.
3.The teacher gives comments and encourages the students to live a positive and healthy life.
◇教学反思◇
本节课教学内容较多,知识点和重要的词汇和短语也较多。通过2c到2e的相关练习,让学生阅读文章后对文章的整体和细节都有了一个很好的把握,能更好地培养学生的阅读理解能力。特别是2c的猜词训练,很好地训练了学生通过语境猜测词义的能力。
