Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Teacher:Everyone has pressure.We have a lot of stress from our school and our family.If we always have too much stress,we will feel uncomfortable.So we should lower stress.Do you know the ways to lower stress?Now please talk about it in groups.
Step 2 Work on 1a-1b
1.Let the students read the advice in 1a and order them according to their own opinions.
2.Ask the students to compare their own results with partners’ and discuss the reasons.
3.Ask some students to share their opinions and the reasons.
Step 3 Work on 1c-1d
1.Play the recording for the students to complete the task in 1c.
2.Check the answers.
3.Have the students read the sentences in 1d carefully and guess answers.
4.Play the recording for a second time and let the students fill in the blanks and check the answers with partners.
5.Play the recording for a third time to check the answers.
Step 4 Work on 1e
1.Have the students give their own advice to Wei Ming.And let them share with partners and discuss the reasons.
2.Ask some students to present their conversations and reasons.
