Step 2 Work on 2a 1.Let the students discuss the questions with their partners: (1) What do you often do to help your parents at home? (2) Do you think kids should help out with chores at home? 2.Let some students share their results. 3.Let the students go on the discussion about what they should do at home. 4.Conclude these views. Step 3 Work on 2b-2c 1.Ask the students to skim the two letters and mark the words and phrases that are unfamiliar to them.Then look the words and phrases up in the dictionary or discuss with partners and take notes. 2.Have the students read the letters carefully to understand their meanings. 3.Lead the students to learn the letters sentence by sentence.Pay attention to the difficult language points. 4.Read the letters in 2b again to complete the chart in 2c. 5.Check the answers.
