1.自主预习教材Page 22~23的新单词和短语,掌握词形及汉语意思。做到重点词汇能正确发音,明确其用法,着重记忆。
2.预读2b的短文,了解文章主题,搜集相关资料。

课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Ask students’ opinions about doing chores at home.
Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Let the students discuss the questions with their partners:
(1) What do you often do to help your parents at home?
(2) Do you think kids should help out with chores at home?
2.Let some students share their results.
3.Let the students go on the discussion about what they should do at home.
4.Conclude these views.
Step 3 Work on 2b-2c
1.Ask the students to skim the two letters and mark the words and phrases that are unfamiliar to them.Then look the words and phrases up in the dictionary or discuss with partners and take notes.
2.Have the students read the letters carefully to understand their meanings.
3.Lead the students to learn the letters sentence by sentence.Pay attention to the difficult language points.
4.Read the letters in 2b again to complete the chart in 2c.
5.Check the answers.
Step 4 Work on 2d-2e
1.Play the recording and ask the students to read aloud.
2.Get the students to read the letters in 2b and make sentences using the phrases in 2d.
3.Let some students read out their own sentences to the class.Give necessary guidance as needed.
4.Lead the students to recall the contents of the two letters.And ask them to discuss the questions in 2e.
5.Have some students share their results.

本课时主要训练学生“略读”的能力,旨在提高学生的阅读效率。一般而言,通过标题即可知道文章的主题。对文章的首段和末段要多加注意,以便提取作者的观点。老师通过让学生实战操练来掌握该技巧,不仅提高了学生的阅读速度,同时也增强了学生的信心,激发了学生的学习兴趣。
