S2:Yes,I’d like to help to clean up the city parks. S1:Would you like to help homeless people? S2:Yes.I’d like to give out food at the food bank. S1:Would you like to cheer up the sick kids? Step 2 Work on 3a-3b 1.Ask the students to read the article carefully and discuss the question in 3a in groups. 2.Let some students share their answers.Then discuss the answers with the whole class. 3.Have three students read the article and correct pronunciation errors. 4.Lead the students to study the important words and phrases. 5.Ask the students to read the article quickly again and answer the questions in 3b.Then check the answers. Step 3 Work on 3c-Grammar Focus 1.Let the students complete the sentences in 3c according to their knowledge of infinitives instead of looking for the answers from the article in 3a. 2.Lead the students to read the sentences in Grammar Focus.And let them share the knowledge of infinitives that they know. 3.The teacher explains the use of infinitives in details. 4.Let the students check their answers to the sentences in 3c and correct them. 5.Ask the students to make sentences with infinitives and get some students to share their sentences. Step 4 Work on 4a 1.Ask the students to read the phrases in the left box and the sentences carefully.Then fill in the blanks. 2.Check the answers.And the teacher leads the students to study the phrases in the left box. 3.Get the students to take notes of these phrases and have dictation next class. 4.Have the students recite the sentences and check with partners. Step 5 Work on 4b 1.Ask the students to read the words and the article carefully.Then fill in the blanks. 2.Let three students share their answers and check the answers with the whole class. 3.The teacher gives explanation.
