It can be as rough or detailed as suits your trip, or your personality, but know the outline of where you want to go and what you want to see. If you are organizing your own trip, start by checking how the professionals do it. Find out what travel agents and guidebooks recommend and then customize it to fit your needs. Booking trips Do your homework and get better deals. Always shop around and compare prices. Never assume some company is cheaper or better because it is bigger or more widely known. Search for booking tips that work for your circumstances. The more flexible you are with your dates, the better chance you have of getting the prices down. Make travel budget Making a travel budget will save you money if you follow it. Keep track of what you are spending while travelling and make sure you do not exceed your overall budget. Follow your budget in principle, not too strictly, because that will spoil your enjoyment. Make sure you’re well-prepared for unexpected fun things to do or see. Keep a travel journal Most people tend to forget things quickly, so keeping a travel journal is a good idea. You will enjoy reading it in the years to come. You can of course use pen and paper but modern technology can make keeping travel journal easier and more fun than ever. You can add photos and share your experience with your family and friends, or even with like-minded strangers. 1. What should we do to get better deals? A. Do the shopping online. B. Buy products from big shops. C. Buy products from famous companies. D. Compare prices between different shops. 2. What does the author advise us to do? A. Avoid unexpected activities. B. Follow a flexible travel budget. C. Ask travel agents to make a plan. D. Use pen and paper instead of iPad. 3. What’s the passage mainly about? A. Some tips on travelling. B. He was a Blume High School student and he completed schooling in 1947. Armstrong was invited by NASA but it was not until 1962 that he decided to become an astronaut. He became America’s first astronaut in the same year. Seven years later, Armstrong was chosen to command the Apollo 11 mission (使命) of landing on the moon. The government said the new law would improve concentration in class, while helping to prevent cyber (网络的) bullying and the viewing of unhealthy contents. However, critics said the ban would be difficult to carry out. The bill was the result of a campaign promise made by President Emmanuel Macron last year. Members of the National Assembly supported the move in a show of hands on Thursday and it now goes to the Senate (参议院). Under the new measures, children up to the age of 15 will have to keep their mobile phones out of sight while at school. Education minister Jean-Michel Blanquer said the measures were “a law for the 21st Century, a law for addressing the digital revolution”. “Being open to technologies of the future doesn’t mean we have to accept all their uses,” he told MPs. A 2016 survey showed that 9 out of every 10 French students aged 12 to 17 owned a mobile phone. Common complaints by teachers include pupils texting friends and chatting on social media during lessons. About half of France’s 51,000 primary schools and 7,000 middle schools already ban their use, but ministers say measures need to be put on a stronger legal basis. Speaking ahead of the parliamentary (议会的) vote, Philippe Vincent of the school directors’ union SNPDEN told AFP news agency that they supported the move because it promotes the process. If approved, the ban is due to come into force for the new academic year in September. The new law does not make clear what punishment students face for breaking the new rules and lawyers have said that teachers are not within their rights to take non-dangerous belongings from pupils. 8. Why did some people criticize the ban? A. It is short of legal basis. B. It is hard to put into practice. C. It doesn’t open to technologies. D. It doesn’t protect students’ right. 9. What attitude did Jean-Michel Blanquer take towards the ban? A. Opposed. B. Doubtful. C. Supportive. D. Ambiguous. 10. What do we learn about French schools? A. Mobile phones were encouraged in the past. B. Mobile phones aren’t allowed in some of them. C. Half of middle school students have a mobile phone. D. Mobile phones are completely banned in the classroom. 11. What can we infer about the ban? A. It will be passed soon. B. It won’t be approved. C. Students will support it. D. Teachers will welcome it. B 9. C 10. B 11. 根据第二段“However, critics said the ban would be difficult to carry out.(然而,批评人士表示,这项禁令将难以实施)”可知,有人批评这项禁令因为很难付诸实践。 根据第五段“Education minister Jean-Michel Blanquer said the measures were “a law for the 21st Century, a law for addressing the digital revolution”. “Being open to technologies of the future doesn’t mean we have to accept all their uses,” he told MPs.(教育部长Jean-Michel Blanquer表示,这些措施是“21世纪的法律,是应对数字革命的法律”。他对议员们表示:“对未来技术持开放态度并不意味着我们必须接受它们的所有用途。”)”可知,Jean-Michel Blanquer支持这项禁令。故选C。 【10题详解】 细节理解题。根据倒数第二段“About half of France’s 51,000 primary schools and 7,000 middle schools already ban their use, but ministers say measures need to be put on a stronger legal basis.(法国5.1万所小学和7000所中学中,约有一半已经禁止使用手机,但部长们表示,这些措施需要建立在更强有力的法律基础上)”可知,法国学校有些学校不允许使用手机。 根据倒数第三段“Common complaints by teachers include pupils texting friends and chatting on social media during lessons.(老师们常见的抱怨包括学生在上课时给朋友发短信和在社交媒体上聊天)”以及最后一段“The new law does not make clear what punishment students face for breaking the new rules and lawyers have said that teachers are not within their rights to take non-dangerous belongings from pupils.(新法律没有明确规定违反新规定的学生将面临什么样的惩罚,律师们表示,教师无权从学生那里拿走非危险物品)”可知,老师们会欢迎这一禁令。故选D。 D The quality of our seafood has been in the news a lot lately. A new study has found that people who eat seafood are also eating plastic — 11,000 pieces of microplastic per year to be exact. Researchers at the University of Ghent in Belgium found that seafood eaters are consuming plastic at a concerning rate. “Per serving of mussels (贻贝), which contains about 300 grams of mussel meat, you get 300 pieces of plastic inside your body,“ researchers wrote. Researchers don’t yet know the implications of eating microplastic, but they worry that it could have negative consequences on our health. While we don’t know what microplastic does yet to humans, we do know what it does to sea animals. In prior studies, scientists have found that when fish eat microplastics, it prevents their growth and changes their feeding patterns. In fact, fish will stop eating natural sources of nutrients (营养物质), and only go for plastic. When you’re done using plastic, a small portion may be recycled. However, more than likely it’s in a landfill or making its way towards the ocean. Once trash hits the water, sea creatures may mistake it for food. This often leads to poisoning or death. If the ocean animal gets caught for human consumption, the plastic may very well make its way back to you — on your dinner plate. According to a study published in Science magazine, eight million tons of plastic go into our waterways every year. The problem is so serious that scientists say that by 2050 the weight of plastic in our oceans will outweigh fish. And just because it’s out of sight, doesn’t mean it should be out of mind. There’s no immediate way to prevent microplastic from ending up in your body .However, you can help reduce the amount of plastic reaching rivers, lakes and oceans in the first place. You can make a difference with your choices every day. Even small changes will add up. While your salmon dinner may contain microplastic, you can help prevent the future generations from having that same problem. 12. What does the underlined word “implications” probably mean? A. Real functions. B. Possible effects. C. Logical reasons. D. Potential benefits. 13. What do we learn about microplastics in the oceans? A. They make fish grow quickly. B. Fish are sick and tired of them. C. Fish tend to be addicted to them. D. They don’t affect fish’s eating habits. 14. Which proverb can best summarize the main idea of Paragraph 5? A. You get what you pay for. B. There is no smoke without fire. C. Everything happens for a reason. D. What goes around comes around. 15. What’s the writer’s purpose of writing the last paragraph? A. To give us a final warning. B. To appeal to us for action. C. To offer us a brief summary. D. To send us a gentle reminder. 【答案】12 B 13. C 14. D 15. B 【解析】 【导语】这是一篇说明文。本文说明塑料微粒的危害以及呼吁人们减少塑料的使用。 12题详解】 词句猜测题。根据划线词后文“but they worry that it could have negative consequences on our health. (但他们担心这可能会对我们的健康产生负面影响)”可知,but表示转折,说明研究人员还不知道食用微塑料的影响,但他们担心这可能会对我们的健康产生负面影响。故划线词意思是“潜在影响”。故选B。 【13题详解】 细节理解题。根据第四段“In prior studies, scientists have found that when fish eat microplastics, it prevents their growth and changes their feeding patterns. In fact, fish will stop eating natural sources of nutrients (营养物质), and only go for plastic.(在之前的研究中,科学家们发现,当鱼类食用微塑料时,它会阻止它们的生长,并改变它们的进食模式。事实上,鱼类会停止食用天然的营养来源,而只吃塑料)”可知,鱼倾向于对海洋中的微塑料上瘾。故选C。 【14题详解】 主旨大意题。根据第五段“When you’re done using plastic, a small portion may be recycled. However, more than likely it’s in a landfill or making its way towards the ocean. Once trash hits the water, sea creatures may mistake it for food. This often leads to poisoning or death. If the ocean animal gets caught for human consumption, the plastic may very well make its way back to you — on your dinner plate.(当你用完塑料后,一小部分可能会被回收。然而,更有可能的是,它在垃圾填埋场或流向海洋。一旦垃圾进入水中,海洋生物可能会把它误认为食物。这通常会导致中毒或死亡。如果海洋动物被捕获供人类食用,塑料很可能会回到你的餐桌上)”可知,本段主要介绍了塑料垃圾进入水中,会对海洋动物产生危害,进而危害人类,所以“因果循环”最能概括本段的主旨。故选D。 【15题详解】 推理判断题。根据最后一段“There’s no immediate way to prevent microplastic from ending up in your body. However, you can help reduce the amount of plastic reaching rivers, lakes and oceans in the first place. You can make a difference with your choices every day. Even small changes will add up. While your salmon dinner may contain microplastic, you can help prevent the future generations from having that same problem.(没有直接的方法可以阻止微塑料进入你的身体。 In a world surrounded by bad news, it may feel like an unhappy place sometimes. ___16___ If you make even one person smile today, you can help make this world a better place. Here is a list of ideas to help you.(如果你今天能让一个人微笑,你就能让这个世界变得更美好。这里有一些建议可以帮助你)”可知,空后讲述的是你可以让这个世界变得更美好,并在下文列举一些建议,由此可知推断,此空应是过渡句,上下文之间为转折关系,B选项“However, you can make a difference. (然而,你可以产生一些影响)”讲述的内容与空前内容为转折关系,引出下文讲述做些能让世界变得更好的建议,符合语境。故选B。 【17题详解】 根据标题“Send a handwritten letter(寄手写信)”以及后文“Putting pen to paper and writing a few words to a friend can be an easy way to make a positive impact. Even a postcard could really make someone’s day! Perhaps you can tell a friend that you appreciate all they are to you, or remind your mum that you love her. Sometimes, in our busy lives we forget to take a moment to tell people what they mean to us.(你甚至都不用说“我爱你”也许你可以告诉朋友你感激他们对你所做的一切,或者提醒你的妈妈你爱她。 What’s the human’s first language? But being honest should always be with us, as honesty is always regarded as a virtue (美德). Every time I talk about the topic, something crowds in my mind as if it had just happened. I was 16 when one morning. Dad told me I could drive him to Mijas and then take the car in a nearby garage (汽车修理厂) to get it serviced. At that time, I had just passed the driving test, and I hardly had a chance to use the car, so I said yes without hesitation. I drove Dad to Mijas, promising to pick him up again at 4 pm, then I went to a nearby garage, and put the car in there. Since I had several hours to spare, I decided to go to a movie theater near the garage to see the movie. However, I was so absorbed in the plot of the movie that I forgot the time. When the last movie finished, I looked at my watch: 6 pm. I was two hours late! I thought Dad would be very angry if he knew what I was doing. And he would never let me drive again. So I decided to make up an excuse. Then, I drove to the appointed place, Dad was sitting in a corner, waiting patiently. I first apologized for being late, then told him that I wanted to get there as soon as possible, but that something was wrong with some of the main parts of the car. I would never forget the way he looked at me. “I’m very disappointed that you thought you had to lie to me, Jason.” Dad looked at me again and said, “When you didn’t show up on time, I called the garage and asked if there was anything wrong. They told me you never picked up the car. So, you see, I know there’s nothing wrong with the car at all.” 注意:1. 续写词数应为150左右; 2. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: A wave of guilt swept over me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: “I’m going to walk home and think what I did wrong,” Dad said to me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】范文 A wave of guilt swept over me. I had to admit the fact that I had gone to the movies and that was the real reason why I was late. Dad listened carefully as a sadness passed through him, “I’m angry, not with you but with myself. You see. I realize that I have failed as a father if after all these years you feel that you have to lie to me. I have failed because I have brought up a son who cannot even tell the truth to his own father.” “I’m going to walk home and think what I did wrong,”Dad said to me. “But father, it’s exactly eighteen miles home from here, and it’s dark. You can’t walk back.” I begged. My protests, my apologies and the rest of my words were useless. I had let my father down and I was about to learn one of the most painful lessons of my life. Dad began walking along the dusty roads. I quickly jumped in the car and followed behind. I apologized all the way, telling him how sorry I was, but he simply ignored me. For 18 miles he kept walking. Seeing my father in so much pain was the most awful experience that I have ever faced. However, it was also the most successful lesson. 词汇激活 行为类 ①意识到:realize /come to realize ②失望:let sb. down/disappoint sb. ③道歉:apologize/make an apology 情绪类 ①悲伤:sadness/sorrow ②生气的:angry/mad 【点睛】[高分句型1] I had to admit the fact that I had gone to the movies and that was the real reason why I was late. His family had to move with him to places. Finally, the Armstrongs moved back to Wapakoneta,Ohio and settled there. As a child, Neil with his siblings Dean and June, did daily things like weeding (除草) the garden or helping wash clothes. At the age of two, Neil Armstrong went with his father to see the 1932 Clevel and National Air Races. Seeing the planes fly, he fell in love with flying. His gift was clear in his ability to read as good as the fifth graders, when in first grade. He was good at Science and Maths. Through a telescope his neighbour had, he often observed the stars and especially the moon. At the age of six, Neil Armstrong took a plane ride in a Tin Goose. During the next few years, he made many model airplanes in the basement of his house. He began taking flying lessons when he was fourteen, and he got a pilot’s license when he was just sixteen! Armstrong, together with Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin, left from the Kennedy Space Center on July 16 that year. A spacecraft named Eagle carried Armstrong and Aldrin to the moon. C French lawmakers have voted to ban the use of mobile phones by students in primary and middle schools. The government said the new law would improve concentration in class, while helping to prevent cyber (网络) bullying and the viewing of unhealthy contents. D The quality of our seafood has been in the news a lot lately. 第二节(共5小题;每小题2.5分,满分12.5分) 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出填入空白处的最佳选项并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。选项中有两项为多余选项。 In a world surrounded by bad news, it may feel like an unhappy place sometimes. ___16___ If you make even one person smile today, you can help make this world a better place. 请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。 Paragraph 1: A wave of guilt swept over me ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Paragraph 2: “I’m going to walk home and think what I did wrong,” Dad said to me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1-5 BACAA 6-10 ACBAC 11-15 BCCBB 16-20 BCABC 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
