Would you like us to have it cheeked? 2．补全一封电子邮件。 3．谈论机器人能做什么事情。 4．对不同种类的机器人发表看法。 重点难点 指导学生从阅读和听力材料中获取信息。 教学思路 本课时通过补全电子邮件的形式，以听力和阅读填空的形式展示重点。在教学上，让学生自己设计机器人，并说明他们的性能，从而提高学生的口语表达能力和创新思维能力，同时，不断提高学生的阅读水平和写作能力，涉及到英式英语和美式英语的区别和联系时，主要是通过学生比较，找出不同点，并通过课后习题巩固知识点。 教学准备 录音机、多媒体或投影仪等 教学过程 Step I Learning Part A Ask students whether they have ever been to an exhibiton centre and what exhibitions they have seen before. Explain to students that they will not be able to find all the information they need to complete the notes in Part Al,just from reading the poster. However,they should try to find as much in-formation as they can. Tell students they can complete the notes by listening to a radio programme about the robot exhibition. 1.Listento the tape for the first time to get its main idea.Explain the words:Japan,South Korea,language,memory. 2.Listen to it again to find the necessary information they need 3.Ask students to give their own answers. 4.Check the answers with the class. 5.Play the record one more time without stopping so that students can check their own answers. Explain the context of Part A3. Remind students that they can refer to the information on P33 to fill in the blanks. Encourage students to complete this exercise on their own or in groups. Step II Speak up Ask students to work in pairs. They should read the conver-sation through once first,change roles and then read the coo sation again. Encourage students to make up their own conversations about robots. Ask some pairs to present new ones tothe class. Step II Learning "Study skills" Ask the students to read the words and sentences on P47,understanding the differences between British and American Eng lish in spelling,vocabulary,grammar and pronunciations. We can only know about these differences when we learn them in the texts or magazines. They can't influence the understanding of the meaning. Students do the exercise on P47on their own and then check the answers with the whole students.
