My hometown Tancheng, in Linyi City, Shangdong Province, is famous for making Chinese Knots.
Chinese knots date back to prehistoric times. People usually use one silk thread to make a knot. It looks the same from both the front and the back. There are many different shapes of Chinese knots such as butterflies, flowers, birds, dragons, fish, and even shoes. And Chinese knots have different colors. The most popular color is red because it means good luck and happiness in China. At first, knots were used to record events, but now Chinese knots are used for decoration. Chinese knots are special because they express people’s best wishes.
I hope that more and more people will fall in love with our beautiful Chinese knots.
