Unit6第二课时：Section A 3a∼3c 教学内容 教材第43页，Section A 3a∼3c。 教材分析 本节课主要围绕美猴王的故事展开，引导学生用一般过去时表达故事，重点了解《西游记》中美猴王这一人物的大体情况，培养学生坚忍不拔的品格和助人为乐的精神。 核心素养 了解中国的传统名著故事，挖掘其源远流长的原因，培养学生民族文化的自信心与自豪感，塑造学生积极向上的优秀品质和价值观。 教学目标 语言能力 1．掌握词汇：the main character， the traditional Chinese book， once upon a time， a magic rock,give birth to, at other times, turn ... into, more than, as soon as, give up, become interested in, keep doing, the weak。 2．掌握句子：But unless he can hide his tail， he cannot turn himself into a man． Because they were so big that it took a long time towalk to the other side. 文化意识 认同中华文化，对中国优秀传统文化感到自豪与骄傲，并学习与传承中华优秀传统文化所蕴含的精神。 思维品质 能把握语篇的整体意义，辨识语篇中的衔接手段，判断句子之间、段落之间的逻辑关系。 学习能力 1．进一步提高学生的阅读理解能力，了解英语的语用特征。 2．学会总结状语从句的基本用法。 重点难点 重点 使学生明白如何用一般过去时态讲述英文故事。 难点 用一般过去时态讲述英文故事。 教学准备 准备美猴王的相关视频及相应的教学课件。 学生准备 预习本课的生词。 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in（导入） 引导学生用英语讲述愚公移山的故事，由此导入新课。 Step 2 Presentation（新授） （1）通过幻灯片来展示本课时所学习的所有重要短语和词汇，如：object，magic，stick，hide，tail，turn...into，excite，Western等，并引导学生试着造句进行复习巩固。 （2）任务1：阅读训练（Readling Practice） ①速读短文，回答Activity 3a中的三个问题，然后全班核对答案。 Keys:1.Journey to the West. 2. The Monkey King or Sun Wukong.3.He is not just any normal monkey. In fact, he sometimes does not even look like a monkey! ②细读短文，完成Activity 3b中关于美猴王的表格。 Keys: What he can do What he cannot do He can make 72 changes to his shape and size, turning himself into different animals and objects. He can make his magic stick small or big and long. B:It's... A:Who is the main character? B:··. A:Which character do you like best? Why?
