教材第43页,Section A 3a∼3c。
教材分析
本节课主要围绕美猴王的故事展开,引导学生用一般过去时表达故事,重点了解《西游记》中美猴王这一人物的大体情况,培养学生坚忍不拔的品格和助人为乐的精神。

了解中国的传统名著故事,挖掘其源远流长的原因,培养学生民族文化的自信心与自豪感,塑造学生积极向上的优秀品质和价值观。

教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in(导入)
引导学生用英语讲述愚公移山的故事,由此导入新课。
Step 2 Presentation(新授)
(1)通过幻灯片来展示本课时所学习的所有重要短语和词汇,如:object,magic,stick,hide,tail,turn...into,excite,Western等,并引导学生试着造句进行复习巩固。
(2)任务1:阅读训练(Readling Practice)
①速读短文,回答Activity 3a中的三个问题,然后全班核对答案。
Keys:1.Journey to the West. 2. The Monkey King or Sun Wukong.3.He is not just any normal monkey. In fact, he sometimes does not even look like a monkey!
②细读短文,完成Activity 3b中关于美猴王的表格。

Step 3 Drill(操练)
任务:学生根据短文内容以小组为单位复述课文,并进行表演。对表现突出的小组给予表扬。
Step 4 Practice(练习)
任务1:编写对话并角色表演对话(Make up conversation and Role-play)
①幻灯片出示相应的问题,引导学生在小组内谈论自己喜爱的故事。在黑板上写样例:
A:Which book is your favourite story?
B:It's...
A:Who is the main character?
B:··.
A:Which character do you like best? Why?
B:I like...best.Because...
②要求学生们互相之间分组练习对话,然后请几组学生在全班同学面前练习对话。
任务2:用所给词的适当形式填空。
