特德的妈妈是做什么的?
She's a nurse.
她是一名护士。
【句型结构】
问句: What does+主语(第三人称单数)+do?
答语: He/She is a/an+职业.
【重点解析】问句用于询问他人的职业。问句中的does为助动词。因句子时态为一般现在时,主语为第三人称单数,谓语动词为实义动词,所以助动词用does。问句中的do是实义动词,意为“做”。答语中的“职业”可以为teacher, worker, farmer等。
拓展:
同义句1:What+be动词+主语(第三人称单数)?
例如:What is the tall girl? 这个高个子女孩儿是做什么的?
同义句2:What's+his/her/名词所有格+job?
例如:What's your father's job? 你爸爸是做什么的?

1.一般过去时
一般过去时的基本定义:一般过去时是表示在过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态。也可以表示在过去某一阶段经常、反复做的动作。
如: He walked to school.
The children went to the zoo yesterday.
1.be动词的一般过去时态的形式有两种,即was, were。

are
were:主语是复数,第二人称单、复数
助动词、 行为动词和情态动词一般过去时态的形式没有人称和数的变化。
过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态;
我刚刚拜访了我的朋友。
I visited my friend just now.
过去习惯性经常性的动作行为;
我去年每周看一次电影。
I saw a film once a week last year.
过去主语具备的能力和性格。
我10岁时会游泳。
I could swim when I was 10.
2. 一般过去时的句型
实义动词过去时
一般疑问句:Did+主语+动词原形+其他?
回答:Yes, 主语 did. / No, 主语 didn't.
例:Did you wear glasses?
Yes, I did. / No, I didn't.
be 动词过去时
肯定句:主语+was / were +其他.
例:He was tired last night. 昨晚他很累。
否定句:主语+wasn't/weren't+其他.
例:She wasn't fat then. 那时她不胖。
be 动词过去时
一般疑问句: Was/Were+主语+其他?
回答: Yes, 主语 was/were. / No, 主语 wasn't/weren't.
例:Was she short?
Yes, she was. / No, she wasn't.
