How to Stay Safe
Boys and girls,
Good afternoon! Welcome to our Fun Learning. This week’s topic is how to stay safe. Danger is never as far away as we think. How can we stay safe and protect ourselves better? Here is some advice.
First of all, follow the traffic rules. Never cross the street when the traffic light is red. If you see any teenagers crossing the street by bike at that time, tell them that it’s not allowed, it is very dangerous. Second, choose high-quality food that is clean and fresh. Pay attention to storage and cooking methods to make sure your diet is healthy and safe. Third, never swim in rivers. A life jacket makes a difference when drowning happens. Last but not least, for your safety, washing hands often helps to prevent most diseases and wear masks if necessary.
Hope the advice above will be helpful for you to stay safe and healthy.

If you are looking for somewhere special to visit in London, we may have the answer for you: Sir John Soane’s Museum. The museum is one of London’s best-kept secrets, and it’s well worth a visit. Sir John, a great architect (建筑师), lived in London during the 18th century (1753—1837), and the amazing thing is that his house is exactly the same as he left it. In fact, visiting the house is just like stepping back in time.
There are three floors which are open to the public. You can start on the first floor. This was Sir John’s work area. You can ask the guards about the paintings on the walls as they tell you something about this family and life. And don’t worry about the guards as they are really nice and helpful. Next, you can go downstairs to the ground floor. Here you can see his rich collection of paintings. For example, there is a series (系列) of interesting paintings about 18th century life in London. Stop complaining that you don’t have free time to read. Learn to use your time more efficiently so that you can do things you want to do.
I realize that I’ve met most of my friends while learning new things and obtaining new experiences. When you join an organization or a club, you are surrounded with like-minded people and just uncommon characters. Chances are you’ll find close friends among them.
Develop a habit of learning something new each day and you’ll be sorry you didn’t. It can improve the quality of your life and helped you both professionally and personally. Do you think learning something new daily is important?
