通常设问方式为“What can we learn from the passage?/Which of the following is (NOT) true?”。
通常设问方式为“What is the right order of…”。
(广东中考B篇节选)According to a study, more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply(供应).It is a sad fact, especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.
( )56.The numbers in Paragraph 1 tell us ________.
A.some people are poor B.food waste is serious
C.the population is large D.the research is interesting
B
从第一段可找到线索“According to a study, more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply.”
(广东中考A篇节选)We are known for our delicious strawberries. We invite you to visit the farm and enjoy our fresh products and great farming experiences. We'll try our best to create a safe openair environment for our customers under the circumstances(情况) of COVID19 this year. Please read the instructions below.
( )55.The instructions are most probably from ________.
A.a farm owner B.a teacher
C.a news reporter D.a customer
A
(广东中考A篇节选)Bullying can happen to anyone.A great many children around the world are bullied every year, but there are things that can be done to help.
…
Talk to your parents or teacher or an adult if you see bullying or if you are worried about a friend.
( )60.This passage is mainly written for ________.
A.teachers B.parents C.children D.the police
C
根据“Talk to your parents or teacher or an adult if you see bullying…”
Last summer, I went on a threeweek walking trip across the Pyrenees, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean.
…
A lot of wonderful things happened during the trip.Maybe the best was the change from city life. While I was walking, there were no cars, no noise and no rush.
…
For me, however, I'll always remember the whole walk.If I did the trip again, there's just one other thing I would do: exercise a lot before the walk!
( )How does the writer feel about the trip?
A.Fantastic. B.Common.
C.Disappointed. D.Useless.
A
根据“A lot of wonderful things happened during the trip.”以及“For me, however, I'll always remember the whole walk.” 故选A。
重庆、温州、金华、丽水、台州、舟山等地区的中考题均考查了此类题,通常设问方式为“Which of the following can be put in…?/Which sentence may be the best to fill in…?”。
扬州等地区的中考题考查了此类题,通常设问方式为“What is the writer probably going to talk about…?”。

Although Jerry had achieved great success, he didn't feel fulfilled. He asked himself, “Is it enough to climb the highest mountains? Am I doing something helpful? How can I turn my adventures into something that can help the world?”
Jerry learned that scientists need plants, rocks and water samples(样本) from the places far away to do research. But scientists can't get there themselves as such places are hard to reach — only the bravest adventurers can make it.Jerry thought he could do something to help.He then came up with an idea.He set up a team of top adventurers to collect samples for scientists.By studying the samples, scientists could know more about the earth and find ways to protect it.
Recently Jerry and his adventurer friends have discovered a special plant life on Mount Qomolangma. The samples they brought back have helped scientists learn how plants live in extreme(极端的) conditions.

Time flies when we play with our smartphone. But when we get down to the real business of work and study, one hour feels like a year. Why are we easily bored when studying?
It's all because of something small and hard to see: dopamine(多巴胺).Dopamine is a “pleasure chemical” that makes people feel good. Our brains release it when we eat delicious food, after we exercise or when we are praised.
Similarly, our brains also release dopamine while we are playing with smartphones. For example, checking our phone leads to a 400% increase in dopamine, said US author Steven Kotler. But why? When we spend time on social media, we don't know what we'll see next, or who will comment(评论) on our messages. This uncertainty makes the dopamine system active. We get excited wondering if we have comments from our friends. When our expectations are met, dopamine is released. However, studying doesn't provide such uncertainty.Without the excitement of uncertainty, we get bored much more easily.
Can we do something to change that? According to Harvard Medical School's Trevor Haynes, apps can become less fun if we turn off notices or change the screen colors to black and white. We can also set time limits on apps to avoid overusing them.
As for studying, you could check your progress daily or weekly, and you could also explore interesting topics related to your textbook.Use what you've learned to affect the real world. This will make the knowledge much more interesting to learn.
( )1.What happens to students when they study instead of playing?
A.They are getting happier.
B.They feel time passes more slowly.

C.Give up. D.Give out.
D
结合第二段“Dopamine is a ‘pleasure chemical' that makes people feel good. Our brains release it when we eat delicious food…
( )3.In what situation do people have dopamine?
A.When people get the gift they want from their friends.
B.When people know what to have for dinner.
C.When people know what will happen next.
D.When people stay in their bedrooms.
A
根据第三段“When our expectations are met, dopamine is released.” 故选A。
( )4.Which of the following might work well in making learning interesting?
A.Setting time limits on everything you do.
B.Reading interesting topics have nothing to do with your textbooks.
