The neighbors felt sorry for him, but the old man said, “Bad things can turn into good things. The neighbors were happy for the old man, but he still said, “We’ll see what happens.” A few days later, the old man’s son tried to ride the new horse. He fell off and broke his leg. The neighbors felt bad, but the old man said, “We’ll see what happens.” Later, there was a big war. All the young men had to go fight, but the old man’s son couldn’t go because of his broken leg.
