(续表)
A Hi Elena
It's important to keep a balance between studying hard and taking time for self-
care.I recommend dividing up your weekly and daily schedule according to your three
main prorities(优先事项)for the upcoming school year:classes;exam preparation;
and rest, exercise,or other forms of relaxation.
On weekdays, you should focus on your regular classes. But you should have a
break after each class to keep yourself from getting worn out.You can chat with your
deskmate or other classmates, sharing something interesting. What's more,it's funny
and relaxing to play some guessing games like word puzzles.Going to the playground
for a walk is another good choice.
The weekend, then, would be an ideal time to study and practice specifically for
cams, using mock exams(模拟考试)if you can get some. You should also spare
some time on weekends to do something completely unrelated to schoolwork that you
enjoy.
Once you find a regular rhythm(规律节奏)that works for you,try to stick to it..
Having a regular rhythm helps a lot to keep a sense of balance in your life.Still, you'd
better spare some extra time, since some days can get difficult and you may need a
little extra rest to work harder later.

When I asked a handful of education pioneers to name the best teacher of rethinking
they've ever met.I kept hearing the same name:Ron Berger.Ron wanted his students
to experience the joy of discovery.so he didn't start by teaching them established
knowledge. He began the school year by presenting them with "problems"-problems
to work through in phases. The approach was think-pair-share:the kids started
independently, updated their ideas in small groups, and then presented their thoughtsto
the rest of the class, arriving at solutions together. For example, instead of introducing
existing categories()of animals.Ron had his students develop their own categorie
first. Some students categorized animals by whether they walked on land, swam in
water.or flew through the air.Others arranged them according to color, size,or diet.
When students meet more difficull problems, they often feel confused.A teacher's
natural reaction is to help them as quickly as possible so they don't feel lost.Yet Ron
wasn't content to deliver lessons that erased confusion. He wanted students to accept
confusion. His view was for them to become leaders of their own learning. He started
encouraging students to think like young scientists:they would discover problems.
develop hypotheses(),and design their own experiments to test them.
I believe that good teachers introduce new thoughts, but great teachers like Ron
introduce new ways of thinking.Collecting a teacher's knowledge may help us solve the
challenges of the day,but understanding how a teacher thinks can help us deal with the
challenges of a lifetime. Finally, education is more than the information we collect in
our heads. It's the habits we develop as we keep revising our drafts and the skills we
build to keep learning.
8.What aspect of Ron does Paragraph 1 mainly talk about?
A.His teaching method.
B.His education background.
C.His relationship with students.
D.His arrangement for activities
9.How is Paragraph I developed?
A.By making comparison.
B.By showing description.
C.By listing figures and evidence.
D.By giving explanation and example.
10.Which word can best replace the underlined word "erased"in Paragraph 2?
A.Experienced.
B.Caused.
C.Shared.
D.Removed.
11.What's the author's attitude towards Ron?
A.Respectful.B.Worried.
C.Doubtful.
D.Concemed.

The Sumatran tiger is a kind of tiger native to the Indonesian island of Sumatra. It's
the smallest of the tigers, possibly hecause it developed on an island habitat far away
from anywhere. The Sumatran tiger's stripes()are closer together and its fur is a
darker ornnge than other kinds of tigers.better allowing it to mix into its tropical
rainforest habitat. Its uniqe long hard hair on its hack neek also helps set it apart.
Like all tigers.Sumatran tigers feed themselves on meat. They will hunt and eat

Hunting and Habitat loss are the two biggest threats, which make the Sumatran tiger

bone wine,a drink in demand by a small number of wealthy people.Tiger teeth may be
wom as jewelry, and tiger skin furniture and other products are seen as wealthy symbols
among some countries in Asia.
Many of the remaining Sumatran tigers live in protected areas, such as national
parks.Indonesia has also turned to religion()for help.In 2014,the country's top
religious body announced an order against hunting and killing Sumatran tigers.Wildlife
protection groups have used this rule as a way to raise awareness that killing Sumatran
tigers isn't just against the law of the country-it's against religious law as well.
12.What is Paragraph 1 mainly about concerning Sumatran tigers?
A.The place they come from.
B.The ways they hunt for food.
