By involving students in these activities, teachers can build an environment that encourages active involvement and deep thinking. Drama and role-playing can be used in different subjects, from English and history to science and maths. Teachers can design activities that allow students to learn in an experiential way. By using drama and role-playing, teachers can make students get involved actively in their own learning. Drama and role-playing activities provide a safe space for learners to experiment with a new language without the fear of real-world results. This experimentation develops confidence in speaking and using the language. Learners are encouraged to try new things and make mistakes that are important parts of learning. Students have the chance to explore different roles by taking part in drama and role-playing activities. It helps them build confidence in expressing themselves, improve their vocabulary and language structure, and develop public speaking skills. Taking part in dramatic activities allows students to show their talents. Whether they are creating a play or adapting (改编) literary works, students have the freedom to explore new ideas and experiment with different methods. Through role-playing, students can have a deeper understanding of historical events, literary characters, or social matters by stepping into the shoes of different persons. This experience helps them develop empathy (同感), see the world from different points of view and manage their own emotions (感情). Drama and role-playing activities also add fun and excitement to learning. They create memorable experiences that help students understand and keep information, and leave a lasting influence on students. Drama and role-playing activities require students to work together and have good communication. By taking on different roles, students learn to listen to others, discuss with each other, understand different opinions, solve problems, and work as a team. Students can carry the skills with them beyond the classroom. 27. What do learners do in a safe space? A. They teach themselves quickly. B. They seldom make mistakes. C. They worry about the results. D. They take risks in learning. 28. What is Paragraph 5 mainly about? A. Students need knowledge of several subjects in role-playing. B. Role-playing helps students understand and deal with emotions. C. Students find it hard to develop their empathy through role-playing. D. Role-playing is a great way to get to know different events. 29. What can we learn about drama and role-playing activities? A. They require students to have talents to take part in them. B. They help students to think about their memorable experiences. C. It is difficult for students to carry them out in a foreign language class. D. They develop students’ skills that can be used in real-life situations. D In today’s rapidly-changing world, technology is continuously advancing and reshaping many industries. One of the most important advancements in recent years is the use of artificial intelligence (人工智能) in the creative field. Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to the simulation (模拟) of human intelligence by machines, especially computer systems. In the creative industry, AI is used to produce outputs, and improve creative work and user experience. For example, AI has changed the world of art by allowing artists to create different and new pieces using AI-powered tools. The music industry has also been changed a lot by AI. Now there is AI-created music and personalized music suggestions for users. AI systems can guess which songs will be popular and create music that simulates the ways of famous artists. AI has also greatly influenced the field of design by making the creative practice simpler and improving design abilities. Designers can use AI tools to automate (使自动化) tasks and make designs better for certain needs of users. While AI provides lots of benefits for the creative industry, it also brings about problems. One big worry is the possible loss of human creativity and originality with the rise of AI-produced works. Some argue that AI is short of the emotional (感情的) depth that human creativity has. However, AI also presents exciting chances for collaboration between humans and machines in the creative practice. By making use of AI tools, artists, musicians, and designers can explore new ideas and break through the limits of creativity, and reach more people. AI can also make art, music, and design easier to get by people around the world. In the future, we can expect to see AI-produced works as well as human-created artworks, music, and designs. It will lead to a new age of creativity and originality in the creative industry. AI is reshaping the creative industry by making creators able to think outside the box, experiment with new ideas, and connect with people in more meaningful ways. While AI gives rise to problems, there is no doubt that it will change the ways we create, experience and value art, music and design. 30 Why does the writer use the examples in Paragraph 2? A. To tell why AI can create things as humans do. B. To list which fields require AI to develop rapidly. C. To show how AI influences the creative industry. D. To explain what new AI-powered tools are needed. 31. What does the underlined word “collaboration” in Paragraph 4 most probably mean? A. Comparison. B. Competition. C. Similarity. D. Teamwork. 32. Which of the following would the writer most probably agree with? A. It is impossible for AI systems to create music like that of famous artists. B. AI-produced works have more emotional depth than human-created works. C. The use of AI has led to the loss of human creativity and originality. D. It is valuable for AI to offer more personalized user experience. 33. What is the writer’s main purpose in writing this passage? A. To compare the works created by AI and humans. B To prove the importance of AI for developing creativity. C. To introduce technologies that speed up the advancements of AI. D. To explain the ways creators use to solve the problems of AI. 第二部分 本部分共5题,共20分。根据题目要求,完成相应任务。 四、阅读表达(第1-3题每题2分,第4题4分,共10分) 阅读短文,根据短文内容回答问题。 Research has shown that adults undervalue the influence of random (随意的) acts of kindness. They think that their actions won’t make too much of a difference. But small acts of kindness have more influence than they think. In 2023, researchers Margaret Echelbarger and Nick Epley published a study. It described an experiment they did to find out if kids also undervalued the influence of random acts of kindness. The experiment took place at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry, in Chicago. Researchers spoke with 101 kids who were visiting the museum. Each kid was offered two pencils. The kids could take both pencils home. Or they could perform an act of kindness: allowing the researchers to give one of the pencils to a stranger. The kid could point out the person who should get the pencil. Before giving away the pencil, the researchers asked the kids to guess how “big” their acts of kindness would feel to the person who got the pencil. Would the person be happy? Or would the gift feel like no big deal? Many kids had trouble guessing. Some of the kids said, “I’d like to give my pencil… but I’m not sure how they’re going to feel.” People were happy to receive the pencils. In fact, they were much happier than the givers guessed. Besides, the givers said they felt a sense of satisfaction (满足) after doing a good deed (行). “It shows the power of these small, random acts of kindness,” Echelbarger said. “Like, ‘You could have chosen anyone, but you chose me.’” Echelbarger and Epley’s study proves that doing good feels good. This is true for the kid on the receiving end of a good deed as well as for the kid who performs it. Echelbarger hopes the study will encourage kids to spread kindness, especially in ways that might feel small or unimportant. She said people were usually thankful when someone said hello, held a door for them, or offered an unexpected compliment (赞美). 34. Why did Margaret Echelbarger and Nick Epley do an experiment in 2023? ________________________________ 35. What was each kid in the experiment offered? ________________________________ 36. How did the kids in the experiment perform an act of kindness? ________________________________ 37. Would you like to do small acts of kindness? Why or why not? 30. Why does the writer use the examples in Paragraph 2? C. Similarity. D. Teamwork. 32 Which of the following would the writer most probably agree with? B. To prove the importance of AI for developing creativity. C. To introduce technologies that speed up the advancements of AI. D. To explain the ways creators use to solve the problems of AI. 【答案】30. Besides, the givers said they felt a sense of satisfaction (满足) after doing a good deed (行为).
