专题微练8 主旨大意题——段落大意题 [对应学生用书P156] A (2024·湖南长沙长郡中学模拟)When I was 12 years old,I spent most of my free time reading. But sadly, not everyone around me enjoyed reading as much as I did,and not being able to talk about my favorite hobby with my friends made my reading a lonely experience. In my senior year of high school,I came across a channel,“Clau Reads Books” run by Claudia Ramirez Lomeli, who makes bookrelated content in Spanish, and was introduced to the book world of social media.I could finally hear someone else's reaction to the stories I like.I love her videos because we prefer the same kind of books.Eventually,I followed her on another social networking site, and I learned about the community on it where users blog about their favorite books.I really wanted to be part of this space and seeing others being so interactive and supportive made it seem like an acceptable community. However,I doubted my ability to express my thoughts well because I was unfamiliar with creating content to engage other readers. Therefore,I started reading blogs on how to start a new account for guidance and after weeks of researching,I learned about the necessary social media skills.I had to spend time designing small sets and finding natural lighting and household items for photo shoots, and learn how to write engaging reviews while using hashtags (主题标签) in posts to attract other users. My first post was a photo of my favorite book,Hush,Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick, with my hand's shadow cast on a page.I also took pictures of several of my favorite sentences from the book and included a few hashtags to increase interaction.Attracting people with similar interest was hard at first. But gradually,it became kid's stuff. The community quickly became a good place for me to talk about my favorite books with people having the same interest. Sora, developed by OpenAI,has quickly become a focal point of discussion within Hollywood.Unlike previous AI video generators,Sora has the ability to generate oneminutelong videos based on textual prompts (提示) while maintaining visual quality and consistency. It can switch between shots, adjust compositions and accurately combine video content with relevant background themes, resulting in incredibly realistic and virtual videos. The introduction of Sora is just the beginning of a shocking shift in the film industry. Its ability to generate highquality videos based on textual prompts raises questions about the future of traditional moviemaking processes. The potential to replace certain job roles and disturb the livelihoods of some individuals is just a small part of the overall impact. Looking ahead, the innovation of productivity tools and the potential for smaller teams to create Hollywoodlevel movies at a lower cost may completely transform the way films are produced. This shift could bring about new production methods, viewing experiences, and even business models within the film and entertainment industry. This breakthrough technology has raised concerns within the film industry,as it has the potential to disturb the traditional movie production process and cause certain job roles' losses. However, this technology also presents opportunities for innovation and costeffective production methods. The film industry is on the edge of a transformative era,and only time will tell how Sora and similar technologies will shape its future. It likely won't be long before audiences get to see film productions made with Sora.It can be stated with certainty that the film industry has entered a new era of rapid development in AI technology. Everyday items including milk jug, grocery bags, and takeout containers are made from a class of polymers called polyolefins. These plastics are really durable (耐用的) because the chemical bonds in those polymers are extremely stable. In a world set up for disposable (一次性的) items, durability is no longer a design feature but rather a design drawback.Imagine if half the plastics used today were recyclable through twice as many processes as they are now. Also conventional recycling requires careful sorting of all the collected materials, which can be challenging with so many different plastics. For example, separating paper from metal doesn't require complex technology, but sorting a container from a milk jug of a different polyolefin is difficult to do without the occasional mistake. In a study published in Science in October 2023,we described a series of polymers with only two building blocks—one soft polymer and one hard polymer—that behave like polyolefins but could be chemically recycled.Connecting two different polymers multiple times until they form a single, long molecule (分子) creates what's called a multiblock polymer.By changing how much of each polymer type goes into the multiblock polymer, our team produced a wide range of materials with properties that covered all polyolefin types. Using the same strategy but by adding hydrogen,we could disconnect the polymers back into their building blocks and easily separate them to use again. When we made new polymers out of these recycled plastics, they performed just as well as the original materials even after several rounds of chemical recycling. So we were able to create materials with similar properties of the plastics the world relies on.We believe this work is a step toward more sustainable plastics. [语篇解读] 说明文。文章主要介绍了聚合物科学家如何致力于解决塑料废物问题,通过重新设计聚合物的结构以实现其可回收性。 9.What is paragraph 2 mainly about concerning plastics? A.Their multiple uses. B.Their chemical properties. C.Their recycling challenges. D.Their classification criteria. 解析 C 主旨大意题。通读第二段可知,本段主要讲述的是关于塑料回收的挑战。故选C。 10.A key factor of producing diverse multiblock polymers is ________. A.mixing building blocks with long molecules B.integrating chemicals into the two polymers C.combining two different multiblock polymers D.adjusting the percentage of the two polymers 解析 D 细节理解题。根据文章第三段可知,生产多种多嵌段聚合物的关键因素是调整两种聚合物的含量。故选D。 11.Which is a feature of multiblock polymers? A.They are made from sustainable materials. B.They can be recycled by adding hydrogen. C.Their reliability outperforms traditional plastics. D.Their properties change with rounds of recycling. 解析 B 细节理解题。根据文章最后一段“Using the same strategy but by adding hydrogen,we could disconnect the polymers back into their building blocks and easily separate them to use again. When we made new polymers out of these recycled plastics, they performed just as well as the original materials even after several rounds of chemical recycling.”可知,多嵌段聚合物可以通过添加氢的方式被分离出来再次使用。故选B。 12.Which of the following might be the best title?
