The next day, the young Chinese swimming team also won a gold medal in a relay race (混合接力泳).
All in all, these sports stars didn’t just want to win gold medals. They were confident and had a good time both when they were playing and when they met new friends from different places. They enjoyed competing. On the Olympic stage, young people like them are always upholding (维护)the proud traditions of Chinese sports while showing a new image of a confident and open China.

Imagine looking through 3.7 million outfits online to find the right one. Sounds really hard, doesn’t it? Well, with the help of AI stylists, it’s not so hard any more.
An AI stylist can help people choose outfits. It searches for pictures of clothes online and collects thousands of outfits created by human stylists. It can also understand words and pick out important information about each piece of clothing. It keeps all the pictures and words in a data set. Then, the AI stylist gives people fashion ideas according to what they like. A team of people look after the data set (数据集) and make sure it always has the newest information. They help the AI stylist get better at choosing clothes by improving its rules. The AI stylist can also suggest something new to try, even if it’s a little different from what the user usually wears. People often like to try something new!
An AI stylist can run into problems when people from different cultures use it. What is popular in Asia may be different from what is cool in Europe. The AI stylist should know what is popular in each place and change its advice to match people’s wants in different places. So, people make rules for AI stylists to follow. Different countries can change these rules to match different styles.
An AI stylist also has to keep up with “fashion rules”. Sometimes, certain clothes don’t go well together. It is difficult for the AI stylist to understand. So another AI model that can understand the cut, style and colour of outfits adds that information to the data set.
People have compared (比较) outfits by AI stylists and human stylists, and AI stylists have done pretty well. Maybe one day we won’t put together an outfit without using our AI stylists first.
1.What do the team of people do for AI stylists?
A.Control the data set of outfits. B.Test AI stylists’ fashion advice.
C.Connect AI stylists with the Internet. D.Find pictures and words about clothing.
2.Which of the following might be a challenge for an AI stylist?
A.Comparing users from different cultures. B.Suggesting something new for users to try.
C.Picking out important information about clothing. D.Choosing different styles for users from different countries.
3.Which of the following shows the structure of the passage?(①=Paragraph 1, ②=Paragraph 2...)
A.①②③/④⑤ B.①/②③/④/⑤
C.①/②/③/④⑤ D.①/②/③④/⑤
4.What does the writer think of the future of AI stylists?
A.Bright. B.Uncertain. C.Worrying. D.Meaningless.

Now, the Shenzhou-19 manned spacecraft was successfully launched (发射) at 4:27 on October 30, 2024. It launched a Long March 2F carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Its mission (任务) is to send three astronauts in the Shenzhou 19 mission to the Tiangong spacestation (天宫号太空站) . The team will be the eighth batch of inhabitants of the Tiangong.
Chinese astronauts Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze will take over the job from their peers (同行) in the Shenzhou 18 and stay there for about six months to carry out the Shenzhou-19 crewed spaceflight mission. The two groups will live together for about four days for handover (移交) work, and then the Shenzhou 18 astronauts Ye Guangfu, Li Cong and Li Guangsu will leave and fly back to Earth on Monday. The three Shenzhou-18 astronauts expressed their excitement in the space station.
Cai, the commander (指挥官) , was part of the six-month Shenzhou 14 mission (with Chen Dong and Liu Yang) that lasted from June 2022 to December that year. While for Song and Wang, who are both post-90s (born after 1990) , it’s their first time to fly to space.

On August 11, 2024, the Paris Olympic Games ended. The Chinese team won 40 gold medals (金牌). This was the team’s best record in Olympic Games held outside the country. It has a far-reaching meaning.
On the one hand, a country’s sports success comes from its hard work and strength (力量). Many Chinese cities built sports fields in parks, neighborhoods and under overpasses (立交桥). People can easily find a place to do sports. Some villages also held sports games like soccer and basketball games. More and more people are interested in and good at sports. When a country can do well for its people in sports, it can usually do well for its people in many other things. For example, China makes sure its people are healthy, live well and can go to school.
On the other hand, there is something more to admire: China’s sports stars were young, but when they took part in sports events, they prepared well and became professional. They made wonderful record-breaking achievements. One great moment was when a 21-year-old tennis player named Zheng Qinwen won the first gold medal for China and Asia in women’s singles. The next day, the young Chinese swimming team also won a gold medal in a relay race (混合接力泳).
All in all, these sports stars didn’t just want to win gold medals. They were confident and had a good time both when they were playing and when they met new friends from different places.
